ER is the classical definition of “useful idiots.” However they are only useful if your goal is world destruction.

Follow the money.

No climate activist ever attacks, China or OPEC+.

This is great – you can see why these people avoid debate. Is this the best they can do?

Once again someone who thinks that carbon and carbon dioxide are the same thing.
Meanwhile since it hasn’t rained here for a few days I’m going out to pour some hydrogen on my garden.

Be vewy careful; that dihydrogen oxide is potent stuff! It’s probably responsible for as many deaths as all other poisons combined!

Dihydrogen monoxide. Its a chemical used in the process of making styrofoam. It’s in all our reservoirs now. It’s used in the production of most toxic chemicals. It’s even been found in large concentrations in Antarctica.

It’s a sign of the times when a scraggly haired wacko who starts a bunch of fools in costume disrupting the lives of everyday people, over a cause that is based on lies to begin with, can be taken seriously enough to be interviewed on TV.

That’s exactly right. It’s his craziness that attracts born again environmentalists (emphasis on the mental). He shouldn’t be given a forum of any kind. People will confuse his zeal as a sure sign he’s one of the anointed. The more blather he preaches the better they like it. You can’t argue against a string of fallacies supported by nothing but misinformed belief.

I mean look at that guy. I wouldn’t trust him to walk my dog. If he was hitchhiking I wouldn’t pick him up. No way! And yet he is somehow worthy of being on the news?

Well, in Britain. Monty Python didn’t come up with the idea for the Ministry of Silly Walks because Brits have the common sense to avoid absurd abstractions, or the forthrightness to tell a loon that he’s off his nut. It’s considered civilized to calmly discuss whether there’s merit in dismantling civilization.

Hey our “news” channels are full of loons and many of them claim to be “journalists” and invite on other loons that agree with their views and those loons are not so calm at all.

The ministry of silly walks was commentary on British labor Govt to have ministries for everything and attempt to regulate everything

So did I. By that point no mention of the mass starvation that would happen if we did go to zero CO2 emissions in 4 years. Little food could be grown (would need millions of plow horses), little processed, and almost nothing distributed. All wildlife would be killed off for food. XR would be responsible for causing mass extinctions. XR is a bunch of lunatics and should not be tolerated.

Is Carrie Johnson going to be at the XR rally. She is an active supporter of the nonsense destroying western society. I say western because no other societies want anything to do with the bizarre group of idiots.

Princess Nut-Nuts? Did she really subordinate herself by relinquishing her family name and assigning herself as Boorish Johnson’s property? I had just assumed she would maintain her birth name.

“Don’t bet the farm”…

That, in a nutshell, is why much of the EU is bereft of innovation and massive successes. Big ideas DEMAND betting the farm, and companies that do so – and do it well – end up dominating entirely new industries.

It is an over-emphasis on risk that leads to nutters like Extinction Rebellion, AGW adherents, and most liberal policies.

Considering risk – without the counterbalancing reward – leads to extremist positions that are inherently detrimental to everyone.

The thing to remember is that the precautionary principle, the principle that so many Leftists and Liberals hold dear, is a logical fallacy. It supposes an upcoming danger when there is no evidence to hold that belief. It’s the “just in case” principle.

“Taking precautionary measures when we have no good reason to do so can waste time and resources and deprive us of important benefits. The principle is not only anti-science but it is unscientific (Brombacher, 1999).”

Thank you Ancel Keys
Thank you for demonising fat in favour of sugar.
Thank you for promoting a damn-near nutrient free diet.
Thank you for trashing the minds and bodies of 6+ Billion people
Thank you (in advance) for completely destroying the last vestiges of greenery on this planet.

Thank you sooooo very much

Believe it or not, muppets like we see & hear in this video might be our salvation, for all the exact opposite reasons he raves about
Go figure.

While your about it, go McDonalds.
Get a double quarter-pounder with cheese & bacon, small fries, no soda or ketchup, as much salt-n-vinegar as you like and bring the bread-bun home for the wild birds in your garden.

China has their religion, we have ours: Pro-Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness is the very model of extinction rebellion. Baby Lives Matter

And a minority religion that, among other beliefs and practices, denies a woman and man’s dignity and agency, and the unconstitutional denial of civil and human rights to “our Posterity” for light, social, and profitable causes.

I’ll believe there is a crisis when the people telling me there is a crisis start acting like there is a crisis. China is a massive contributor, and the people screwing the West ignore China. They know China will arrest them, throw them in jail, and continue on their way.

Ah, what is truth? It appears to be whatever a mob can be convinced it should protest. I for one want to know what the optimum climate is for our biosphere, so we can sustain our biosphere. If we have any change in our climate is it moving us towards or away from that optimum? To what extent is human activity causing that change?

Reply to  Ewin Barnett
June 28, 2021 7:54 am

It’s pretty clear we are still moving toward optimum.
Human modern civilization only started to develop at higher temps than this
It’s only that modern civilization that allows us to thrive at these cooler temperatures

Regardless what the scientologists say

Roger Hallam was an organic farmer who blames climate change for his business failing.

I say that if you have 10 acres of land, 1 horse but no tractor and 25 people working the land you’re going to fail anyway.
