For background, here is an article by Dr. Koonin we published here.

Excellent interview with Steve Koonin given by Larry Kudlow.

I have created a new line which is based on the records of climate, that anyone can check, in GISP2 and other proxies variously available since 2000 or so, after the un disprovable lie was created and became subject to test by observation. Here is my line..

“The records from ice cores and other verifiable proxies prove today’s temperature’s are cooler than the warmer temperatures that prior warm cycles established at the increasingly warmer peaks of the Empires of the Vikings and Mongols, Romans (1 deg) and Minoans (2 deg warmer). Before cooling again, in a regular cycle of around 1,000years.

If there is time…. the (self evident) analysis is:

  1. Nothing unusual extreme is happening in measured fact, per the facts of observations since records really began.
  2. Nothing negative happened, civilisations were most productive, and no tipping points occurred.
  3. Mainly because the oceans control the climate, that CO2 has a small effect on the lapse rate within the overall control of the planetary system.
  4. The assertions of politicians are simply false in fact, and simply assert what is in fact natural change is man made to justify other objectives than “saving the planet”
  5. The planet is fine in measured fact, just not per activists with agendas predicting disaster that isn’t happening using fictional models.
  6. This is not something that justifies politicians wasting $Trillions damaging the World’s most energy dependent economies in the West based on no actual scientific evidence of a problem, when China is doing the opposite – in emissions fact. Which has always been the UN’s stated plan, since Maurice Strong created the UN IPCC and Agenda 21, using natural change to attack energy use in the Western World, but before the evidence of this change as a natural cycle was available to expose the deceit behind the politics.

Perhaps it’s time the truth of real science was told to the people. Observations disprove theories, and models too. “If the observations don’t match the theory, it’s wrong.” Feynman 101.

There are 3 basic climate science principles:

1) Climate science is in it’s absolute infancy and the science community has little or no data on or understanding of the 24 highly integrated and complex systems that drive our climate.

2) The climate is too complex to model or predict. The present models are inadequate and extremely inaccurate and any organization that believes they have the ability to model/predict future climate are naive at best.

3) The inherent complexity ensures the climate will always be changing nothing man does impacts that.

The science community needs extensive un-altered temperature, precipitation, wind and water vapour data from the oceans, ice caps, tundra, forests, mountains, grasslands and deserts.

From a galactic perspective they need to continue to collect solar radiation and magnetic field data. And don’t forget the on going contributions of the palaeontology and associated disciplines.

More sound and reliable data and less propaganda/fear mongering. is needed to begin this exciting journey of discovery.

I had to look up ‘existential threats’.

After listening to Koonin and his use of the word ‘innovation’, I do not think he knows what it means.

An example of innovation would be the the idea of using fission to make electricity.

Innovation to solve a non-problem or a perceived problem.

The US power industry does not have a problem producing and distributing the finite amount of power.

Innovation is not consumer groups, intervenors, public utility commissions, and various politicians telling power companies how to make electricity.

It looks like Sen. Schumer is signaling his climate dissent also with his push back against FEMA flood insurance overhaul and changes in flood insurance rates.

Koonin sounds rather reasonable. I wonder if anybody in the Biden administration will listen to him, or will Biden keep writing executive orders to shut down pipelines and oil-drilling leases?
