  1. “Is the Coronavirus Lockdown the Future Environmentalists Want?”

No, however it is the first step in that direction.

    • The answer is “NO!”

Albert Einstein declared, “The unleashed power of the atom has changed everything save our modes of thinking and we thus drift toward unparalleled catastrophe.” Environmentalists who want their lifestyle to continue while eliminating use of so-called ‘fossil fuels’ drift in their non-thinking toward unparalleled catastrophe.

    • The desperation and clutching at straws is palpable. Michael Moore’s film panning renewables was a shockwave added to it all.

The German Polarstern project in the Arctic to chronicle the Big Melt Off found themselves in the thickest, most extensive spring ice in many years. There are signs this project is self destructing. They’re blaming Covid for it, but with the highest stakes the Central Climatariat has faced thus far, it would be convenient to have a couple of weeks stoppage followed by repositioning of the ship.

This data hiatus and “station move” looks a lot like what has been done with the network of temperature stations to permit intervention and statistical fiddling which became “necessary” to “right” the temperature readings.

  2. Careful what you wish for, Hippies. My employer has stated that a condition for Working from Work is that we all travel in PRIVATE VEHICLES and avoid public transport literal plague.

So, considering it is not a obligation and not a luxury, I am so glad I brought a new fossil fuel powered car at the start of the year.

(also, since Australian managed to destroy our car manufacturing industry, my car was fully imported from Europe. Don’t blame me, I am only protecting civilisation! 😀 )

    • GM bought Holden in 1931 to form GMH. Hockey in 2013 asked GM if “are you here or not?”. GMH states in 2017 it’s pulling the plug. Hockey simply wanted GM to “come clean” and tell the Australian taxpayer what it was doing with the subsidies it was receiving, IIRC over AU$150 million annually. IIRC each car made in Aus was costing each Australian AU$10,000 each in subsidies simply being siphoned off and sent to Detroit.

      • then they took the money and ran;-(
        bad idea future sales plummeted
Ive got n old petrol Jackaroo and its a damned good car
the even older VN with VP motor ran reliably for a decade with little maintenance
        the new things?
wouldnt have one if given to me.

as for the Q? is this what they want?
yes its what they SAY they want
        however reality with powercuts looming,
and no one providing a lift lyft or uber for them might change that

  3. I guess the question will solve itself when there will be more unemployed construction and steelworkers than greenie leftard zealots.

Then it becomes easy to predict who will lockdown with their facebook machines and who will be on the streets with sledge hammers.

      • Guys, we see video after video being “burned” by the international socialist censorship (ISC).

It is time we protect the possibility of expression. Mr. Biden may be absolutely wrong in some or all the things he says, but that is up to the listener to decide, not the ISC.

We will have difficulties persuading ISM to change policy. This is a challenge because YouTube, for example, is the prevailing entertaining and information platform directing the masses. Yes, I love it too, as I very seldom watch TV.

So how can we maintain diverse communication across the herd?
For that I have two short informations:

During the USSR times, Pravda was the contemporary YouTube for the USSR population. People had little or no idea what people’s thoughts were outside the union and difficulties knowing the true opinions within the union.
It was the radio armatures (HAM radio) who revealed what was going on outside the PR of Pravda.
On shortwave the radio armatures were able to have friendly conversations all over the world, by means of reflections at the ionosphere.

When Romania was occupied by the communists, the secret police was hindering even the tiniest attempt to resist the “government”. This was long before the Internet, but the secret police had mainframes with complete databases detailing every citizen in the country.
A clever computer specialist one day managed to infiltrate the mainframe with a small code running permanently in the background. This code took two random records at a time and swapped the name fields. After a short time nearly all records were unusable, because name and address did not match, thus arresting suspects failed.
This deed was the opening a door for freeing the country.

I do believe we need to think in those lines. Technology and methods are different today, but issues are approaching the same magnitude, severity and need for resolution.

I am looking forward to the Heartland Institude’s Zoom meeting and hope we will all get new ideas and a better overview of what this messy soup really contains.

All the best from a Dane living in Sweden and enjoying a slight reduction in traffic. Now there are five minutes between each vehicle instead of three minutes 🙂

Oh, for those who do not know: People with residence Sweden cannot go to Denmark, whereas people with residence in Denmark can go to Sweden. Many of the younger casualties of #19 are immigrants to Sweden – no idea if it means anything.

          What a hero!

  4. The only way we’re going to understand if the death causes attributed to #19 are phony is to do a postmortem on the total death counts by morbidity and see if they follow averages or not. My guess is they will not.

    • The underlying idea is to keep people distanced from each other, let them only interact through media they control and can monitor. People at home are far less dangerous than people on the street demonstrating en masse. You Tube is starting to delete videos that are politically incorrect. Please protest this, as I am doing.

  5. This is great..

    No more Stinkies blocking roads,

    No more pussie hat marches,

    No more truant children’s marches.

    No more “climate’ demonstrations.

I’m sure there are many other huge positives to this lock-down. 🙂

  6. If this continues Mockton and Mosher will have some real egg on their face Sweden incidence and death rates are plumetting. If they continue to fall and the rest of the world with lockdowns keep killing their people by the flattening curve and economic suicide https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8278087/Swedens-daily-coronavirus-death-toll-falls-67-new-infections-drop-428.html as I predicted. these people know NOTHING ABOUT VIRUSES Mockton is a mathematician and Mosher is a great investigatorr re Gleick his only contribution to this site ever all his predictions about anything c limate realated have been about zero check it out but let him spew his crap here its called liberty of expression cheers

  7. Well, the coronavirus response, to me, seems the very definition of a behavior-related extinction mechanism.
We’ve willingly embraced martial law, destroyed the global economy, forfeited our constitutional rights, crippled energy and food production, and made most transportation illegal and punishable.

  8. And the answer is — of course. What they are doing is testing how much control people will tolerate without revolting. And the indoctrination over the decades is working — it seems most of the masses are indeed acting like sheep.

Next up — start rationing energy & food & see how far that will go.
