Eco-protestors in Britain appear to be racking up a body count.

‘Just Stop Oil’ Activists Have ‘Blood On Their Hands’ After Two Women Die Amid Bridge Stunt

The Just Stop Oil climate activist group, which has been terrorising British streets by glueing themselves to roads, is accused of having “blood on their hands” after two women died in car crashes after being diverted from a bridge that activists had shut down.

Two women, including mother of four Lisa Webber, died this week after traffic was diverted to the M20 motorway as a result of activists from Just Stop Oil, which drew international attention last week after two members threw a can of tomato soup on the famed Sunflowers painting by Dutch artist Vincent van Gogh, suspending themselves off of the Queen Elizabeth II Bridge, a major crossing point of the River Thames in London.

The crash occurred when a BMW driver veered across the motorway and slammed into other cars after trying to avoid the backup caused by the green protesters. Making matters worse, the traffic delays caused by the activists delayed ambulance crews from reaching the victims for 40 minutes.

As a result of the wet conditions, one woman had lost control of her vehicle, at which point Webber left her car and tried to assist the driver. Mark Heap, a builder, who also tried to help the woman, was also injured as the BMW veered into them, leaving him with a broken back and leg.

I’ve done plenty of driving in London, and I remember the disruption and chaos even a single blocked road can cause.

I doubt the climate protestors genuinely care that their actions led to deaths. Extinction Rebellion founder Roger Hallam told us in 2021 he would block an ambulance, even if that led to someone dying.

I support the right to protest. I would be horrified if anyone tried to prevent well behaved climate protestors from waving a banner while standing on a sidewalk. But these climate fanatics are fed up with being routinely ignored, and are behaving well outside the bounds of acceptable democratic protest, by deliberately attempting to mess up other people’s lives to attract attention to their cause.

So how can we improve this situation? I think we can all learn a lot from the French approach to climate protests. Rapid, effective policing of disruptive protests, while maintaining the highest standards of sensitivity, showing respect for their climate beliefs by refraining from dousing their hands with petroleum derived glue solvent before removal.

The punk who defiled the Van Gogh painting must be severely punished- maybe a few years in jail after a public whipping.

A few years in jail with only tomato soup to eat for every meal. Let the punishment fit the crime.

Multiply that by 10 million+ people to get the deaths which will occur from replacing fossil fuels that are greening up the planet with things like, diffuse, intermittent wind: The energy source from environmental hell…….tearing up the earth to mine, destroying landscapes and ecosystems, while killing millions of birds and bats that last 25 years, then have to be replaced.

That’s actually what these people want?

No, they just don’t know this is what they’ll get!

And fertilizing crops from the air, CO2 and from the soils which supports billions of humans right now:

In the UK we define terrorism as a violent action that:

  • Endangers a person’s life, other than that of the person committing the action
  • Involves serious violence against a person
  • Causes serious damage to property
  • Creates a serious risk to the public’s health and safety
  • Interferes with or seriously disrupts an electronic system

Why are these people not being called out for what they are?

a bridge that activists had shut down.

Hmm. Who shut down the bridge?
I think that was done by police. Why?

Just out of curiosity I looked up the oath the constable takes in the UK.

“…declare and affirm that I will well and truly serve the Queen in the office of constable, with fairness, integrity, diligence and impartiality, upholding fundamental human rights and according equal respect to all people; and that I will, to the best of my power, cause the peace to be kept and preserved and prevent all offences against people and property; and that while I continue to hold the said office I will to the best of my skill and knowledge discharge all the duties thereof faithfully according to law.“

If the winter heating season is a dire as people fear due to lack of natural gas, the body count could be staggering.

Protesters aren’t the only people with human rights. The rest of us have the human right to continue with our normal lives. If a freeway is blocked, the police should do what they do in China: shoot the blocker, clean up the mess, and get traffic moving again post haste.

There should be a new category of crime called being an idiot. The protester should be sentenced to 1 year in jail for obstructing traffic and ten years for being an idiot.

Unfortunately they all appear to be serving a life sentence for being an idiot…

Eric you are far to forgiving, these people have gone far far beyond peaceful protest. This needs to be stopped now. Worse than the protesters are the worthless bureaucrats, politicians and administrators who allow this nonsense to continue. I would punish them more than the protesters. I have said this before and I’ll say it again, the longer the worthless bureaucrats, politicians and administrators refuse to do their job the more likely it is that some of these protesters is going to come to real harm. I will laugh.

Form what I understand, it was the police that closed off the bridge because of these idiots. The first they threated to drop something that could endanger the lives below, call in the snipers to take them out.
Harsh, maybe, but no less harsh than what they threaten.
This wasn’t a matter of “free speech”.
Hold up your banner on a sidewalk if you want to display your message. Just give who want to walk by you free passage.

No. If they glue themselves to roadways, simply drive right over them. If they glue themselves to walls, simply leave them there without food and water. Or if you want to be merciful, simply pull them off the wall, and they can leave behind whatever remains attached.

I’m thinking a cattle prod would be a darn effective way of taking care of some situations. A few pokes and they’ll pull their own hands off what ever their glued to.
