The future of Heathrow expansion is uncertain after leading judges ruled that the Government must reconsider its support for a third runway because of the environmental impact.
The Court of Appeal concluded that the Secretary of State for Transport failed to take account of the Government’s commitments to tackling climate change when setting out support for the project in a National Policy Statement (NPS).
The appeal was brought by a group of councils in London affected by the expansion, environmental charities including Greenpeace, Friends Of The Earth and Plan B, and London Mayor Sadiq Khan. Campaigners hailed the ruling as a victory, and said it had “killed off” plans for a third runway for good and that the project is now “politically unacceptable”. The Green Party’s Caroline Russell talks to Julia about the expansion and the Government’s plans for net zero carbon emissions.

I went to visit the UK several years ago. It being late June, I was wearing long pants (unusual for me), a long sleeve shirt (very unusual for me), a wool shirt over that, and a wool flat cap … I wished I had brought a proper jacket.
Heaven forbid Norther Europeans might be unable to wear their wool jumpers (a.k.a sweaters) all summer long.

The demands for Julia to be Cancelled are surely building. The Left’s Cancel Culture will be coming for her with knives out.
Cancel Culture exists for one purpose: to protect the House of Lies and Half-Truths the Left has built. It is a house that cannot stand against informed inquiry and questioning to get the whole truth. In the bigger picture of the climate scam, there is nothing Green, Affordable, or Reliable about wind and solar generated electrical power when the totality (the whole picture) is examined. It is only in very narrow examinations that renewable wind and solar appear to be “green” (reduce emissions). Because when the entire life cycle of the product (the wind turbine and infrastructure to build it and maintain it) is examined, along with the need for continual back-up reserves (and thus expenses and those emissions), the whole renewable-energy climate change is rightfully seen as a scam on consumers to pry money from them to support socialism and the political class pushing it.
Suppression of dissent and adherence to climate change dogma to keep the public in the dark and fed manure is achieved via the Cancel Culture.
Scalpels. They like to scalp the lives they deem a “burden”. It’s forward-looking, progressive, the very model of liberal virtue, and declared humane under a consensus.

The non-greenness of electric heating and transport is very obvious. I enjoy pointing out to greenies what happens when they turn on or recharge an electric something: what happens is that a fossil-fueled power station increases its output.

Every weekday mornning my radio goes on at 6.30 AM to listen to 3 1/2 Hours of Julia Hartley-Brewer taking down any bluffer who tries to patronise us with their woke rubbish no matter which political party they support.
She is the power that they need to speak truth to or else.
Julia was, indeed, brilliant. I would only have wished to add when this simpering idiot woman who is the Green Party “spokesperson for transport” said she and her ilk “only want to make things better” is, no, it’s not about that, it is about your unlimited will to achieve total power and control over all human activity, economic or otherwise, in the true spirit of Stalin, Mao, Kim Jong-un, and other similar tyrants. Like in the United States, the UK is in the capture of a tyrannical, unaccountable bureaucracy, which includes the legal system. And the ignorant, fearful people of Europe and the United States are all too willing to turn their lives over to this motley crew of incompetent fools, like so many sheep or lemmings (sorry if I give the sheep and lemmings such a bad rap, but it’s still the best metaphor).

At the end it was kind of painful to listen to. I felt bad for the poor spokesperson who obviously was used to softball questions and no pushback from their complicit media friends. Suddenly she had to actually defend her position, but it was clear all she had to offer were the same empty platitudes we hear repeated so often.
Needless to say, this is not on BBC. Wonder how much longer talkRADIO.co.uk will be allowed to continue broadcasting if they don’t cancel Julia.

Almost on a daily basis I find myself endangering friendships because I (politely, with civility) challenge their mantra about the magical powers of wind, solar and batteries.
But they always get mightily defensive when I cite facts & figures about the real-world capabilities & performances of “renewable” power generation, storage & dispatchability.
Of late I’ve been trying to get a sensible discussion going even by suggesting that, just for the purpose of discussion, we put the CO2 climate control knob hypothesis aside and just address the legitimacy of wind & solar as substitutes for coal, gas & nuclear, where most electricity generation is reliable and affordable.
Sad to say, I’m still not having much luck – it seems one has to ‘believe’ the whole climate / renewable power package or be regarded as a rank heretic.

In the UK, I have seen a building site where the green mobsters had forced a contractor to use an electric generator.
The site forman did a video tour of the battery powered generator powering lighting.
He showed the lights all aglow with energy, then he turned to the generator and walked all around before getting to the on/off switch which was in the off position and the recharge cable trailing out of shot.
Then he said, “Effin generator lasted 5 minutes before it gave out, so now we have to recharge it” before panning to the diesel engine recharging the batteries.

“Climate breakdown” sounds like tosh to any free- thinking soul but to most teenagers, it’s scientific.
Forgetting the phrase “low confidence” is scientific, that is that you’re concentrating so much on the abstract concept that you forget what everyone had decided to label it, but most teenagers are brought up to just have high confidence if something is said confidently.
I brought it up because it’s my pet hate. The left have marched through education institutions and they deliberately will not do the hard yards to develop the young minds into thinking for themselves. They come out needing everything simplified for them as a mnemonic.
