According to the UN, everything bad you see in the news is linked to climate change. Or something like that.

Covid-19 pandemic is ‘fire drill’ for effects of climate crisis, says UN official

Lise Kingo says social equality issues must be part of sustainable development agenda

The coronavirus pandemic is “just a fire drill” for what is likely to follow from the climate crisis, and the protests over racial injustice around the world show the need to tie together social equality, environmental sustainability and health, the UN’s sustainable business chief has said.

“The overall problem is that we are not sustainable in the ways we are living and producing on the planet today,” said Lise Kingo, the executive director of the UN Global Compact, under which businesses sign up to principles of environmental protection and social justice. “The only way forward is to create a world that leaves no one behind.”

She said there were “very, very clear connections” between the Covid-19 and climate crises, and the Black Lives Matter protests around the world, which she said had helped to reveal deep-seated inequalities and “endemic and structural racism”.

“We have seen illustrated to everyone that social inequality issues are part of the sustainable development agenda,” Kingo said.

The UN secretary general, António Guterres, said building a fairer society would be essential to the world’s health, as well as to saving the planet from climate breakdown and ecological destruction.

“Today, the fabric of society and the wellbeing of people hinge on our ability to build a fair globalisation,” he told the two-day UN Global Compact virtual conference of business leaders, which started on Monday.

“Where once ‘do no harm’ was a common approach for the business community, today we are arriving at a new landscape of elevated expectations and responsibilities. But despite progress, serious threats would undermine our future, including climate change, poverty, loss of biodiversity and widening social inequalities. The pandemic has underscored the world’s fragilities, which extend far beyond the realm of global health.”

In my opinion this is flailing, a desperate attempt by the UN to tie climate change to an issue people care about.

But the UN climate activists and their allies still seem to have a lot of money to fling about, so they are far from finished. Billions of dollars are in the balance, tied up in existing renewable energy investments which could become worthless overnight, if the world’s cash strapped governments decide to switch off their renewable energy life support programmes, as Spain did in 2011.

  1. They all kneel in solidarity with one common cause: diversity (i.e. color or low information judgments).

      • kneel to Big Brother the money printers. This is not about left or right it’s about good and evil. Central Banking and Direct Taxation have enslaved humanity. There can be no Freedom without a Free Market.
Their system is about to implode and they know it but that makes them even more dangerous. They will commit every atrocity to stay in power. Only power matters.

        • There can be no Free Market without sound money. But it seems at the moment that the entire world is enthralled by fiat, and starting to see the consequences.

The system is collapsing as we watch on, but it’s not a natural collapse. It’s being collapsed deliberately. The globalists are trying to institute a global technocratic authoritarian regime.

      • Activists don’t know that if they realized their dream, the diversity/social justice types would be the first to be sacrificed in a new elitist Central Committee purge. People experienced in social justice agitation would get the knock at 3 am. Ditto 350.org and the genders would be culled down to two. Theory vs practice, history is rich with tactical ideas.

Western freedom of speech, free enterprise and democracy would be fading nostalgic memories.

    • “They all kneel in solidarity with one common cause: diversity”

Their common cause is political power. Diversity, and other types of virtue signalling, are diversionary vehicles they use to obtain their real goal.

    • Those protesters are just cannon fodder who when no longer needed will be eliminated. To stay in power they have to divide, make us fight among ourselves.

  2. “But despite progress, serious threats would undermine our future, including climate change, poverty, loss of biodiversity and widening social inequalities. The pandemic has underscored the world’s fragilities, which extend far beyond the realm of global health.”

I note the UN has never suggested we spend less on tilting at windmills (pun intended) to fulfill their fantasy that they can control the climate and more on providing clean water and sewers to the poor of the world and helping them prevent crop failures and famines. Nor do they mention education or increasing health clinics etc. in India, Africa, So. America…

Not to mention the W.H.O totally blowing the handling of Covid, which is not their first disaster, and continuing to do so does not inspire confidence that their stated goals are their actual goals, to say the least. Even if they were, the W.H.O. and the UN have proven themselves too incompetent to manage parking at a major league ball game let alone control the climate or even a pandemic.

The more the globalists, corporations and the wealthy elites of the world, in and out of politics, talk about social justice (whatever that is) and spout the rest of the PC canned platitudes, the more injustice, racism and inequality rises. It’s so bad, one wonders if they just stopped “saving” everything and “fixing” the world, the world would not be a whole lot better place. I know I think it would.

    • “Not to mention the W.H.O totally blowing the handling of Covid”

I don’t think the WHO was incompetent, I think the leadership at WHO deliberately downplayed the threat of the Wuhan virus because that’s what the Chinese leadership wanted the WHO to do.

    • If the UN ever eliminated poverty, what would they use to continue justifying their existence?

  3. Eric
This is not flailing, they are telling you what will happen. As I understand it our New Zealand Labor government has already received the letter of how the new normal should be, and it strongly suggests climate change spending.

  4. I believe all this violence and stoked hatred will backfire on the democrats come the election. Biden is a pathetic candidate and likely will be replaced, but the implicit support of this insurrection by the democrats will give the Nation the election results we deserve – 4 more years to MAGA! – THANK YOU President Trump!!!

    • tomwys
At least Biden can hold a glass of water and doesn’t need a guiding hand when walking down a gentle slope. What is with that? Trump looked positively geriatric. And while we are talking about covid, I see the FDA have pulled the emergency authorization for hydroxychloroquine and chloroquine. Seems they were a big nothing burger after all. Who would have thought Trump would have known so little about medicine?

      • Simon still suffering from TDS.

Simon: Trump has totally mishandled this “crisis.”
Derg: Didn’t he suspend flights from China?
Simon: he didn’t do it soon enough.
        Derg: ahhh

        • Simple Simon
          Met Joe Biden
          Going to the White House
          Said Simple Simon
          To Joe Biden
          “AmeriKKKa’s a shitehouse’!

          Don’t forget the tip jar.

      • “And while we are talking about covid, I see the FDA have pulled the emergency authorization for hydroxychloroquine and chloroquine. Seems they were a big nothing burger after all. Who would have thought Trump would have known so little about medicine?”

Alex Azar, one of President Trump’s advisors said yesterday this action actually makes HCQ *more* available to people who need it, than it was before this action. This decision in no way is a reflection on HCQ’s effectiveness for treating the Wuhan virus.

      • Have you ever walked down a slippery slope?
Simon is so full of hatred towards those who stand between him and more free stuff, that he will not only believe, but pass on any lie.

      • Misunderstood by the Guardian. FDA has a full green light to use HCQ. Incompetent and IDological Drs. in UK and Brazil egregiously over medicated already critical patients -1800mg a day instead of 200 to 400. The Lysenkoists at Lancet and the NEngland Journal of Medicine were forced to retract their articles against HCQ two days later because the data was shown to be phoney (fake may be more apt – like the everyday stuff we are loaded down with these days)!

Simon, you are experienced enough here to know that you need a much higher standard of keeping up to date. Sceptics are feared as you know from the frenetic angry coverage they get and the angst they cause the establishment despite making up ony ~3% of the numerate population. I’m not being totally facetious in this.

I think ~3% was probably right for dissent in the Soviet Union, although much fewer than 1% made themselves known because of the savagery of the regime. The reason modern néomarxistes of mainstream media and policy service ‘science’ pay attention to the 3% is because Solzhenitsyn’s smuggled out book alone played a disproportionately large part in the ultimate collapse of the USSR.

    • “I believe all this violence and stoked hatred will backfire on the democrats come the election.”

I think so, too. Note that President Trump is having his first public rally since March in Oklahoma this Saturday and has already signed up over one million people who want to attend. The auditorium where the rally will be held holds about 20,000 people, and there is talk that they will also have another building available that will hold 40,000 more..

One million people is about one-fourth of the population of Oklahoma. Although I’m sure the applications to attend are coming from all over the nation.

So it looks like there is a lot of support for President Trump. Trump also collected $14 million in campaign contributions on his birthday a couple of days ago. In one day.

      • Tom
“I think so, too. Note that President Trump is having his first public rally since March in Oklahoma this Saturday”
Trump is desperate to get back and do what he does best. Rant, lie and perform to those who don’t seem to have any semblance of understanding as to what is a lie and what is truth. But he needs to do this because his ratings are flagging. In his world the ends justify the means. So let’s cram 20k people in to a room where they will yell, cough froth and scream over each other. This at a time when Oklahoma just had it’s worse day for new Covid infections. So what if it compromises the health of those in the room? Donnie has never been one to put the needs of others over his desire to win.

And …. in Tulsa Oklahoma. Tulsa where the worse race massacre in US history happened. Read about it. It was truely a blight on the nation for all time. 300 blacks murdered. 0 whites. 40 blocks destroyed. 20 blacks charged. 0 whites. This at a time when the country teeters on the brink of severe racial unrest. What a guy? He is many things, but he is no leader.

PS can’t wait for Republican Boltons book. Should be a good read.

        • Simon just can’t get over his TDS. Biden gives speeches, while Trump rants.
Really, is that actually the best you can do?

As to those who don’t have any clue as to what’s a lie and what’s the truth, you don’t need to go any further than the nearest mirror to find one.

        • I heard on the local news earlier that people are already forming up a line waiting to get into Trump’s rally Saturday. Five days in advance, they are lining up. And it’s hot out there, too. And it’s going to be hotter as the week goes by.

        • “So let’s cram 20k people in to a room where they will yell, cough froth and scream over each other. This at a time when Oklahoma just had it’s worse day for new Covid infections.”

Oklahoma has been testing at four times the rate it was testing just a couple of weeks ago, so that might account for some of the modest increase in numbers.

Oklahoma has plenty of HCQ and plenty of empty hospital beds, just in case.

The Trump people should have all the names and personal information for all those who attend, so they can follow up with them in a couple of weeks and see how they are doing. This would tell us a lot about the consequences, or lack thereof, of meeting in crowds. The crowds of demonstrators are a similar experimet, but we don’t have their names to follow up with them, but they will have the names from the Trump rally, so they should combine politics and medicine and study the Trump rally crowds for the effects of the Wuhan virus.

        • “And …. in Tulsa Oklahoma. Tulsa where the worse race massacre in US history happened. Read about it. It was truely a blight on the nation for all time. 300 blacks murdered. 0 whites. 40 blocks destroyed. 20 blacks charged. 0 whites. This at a time when the country teeters on the brink of severe racial unrest.”

Trump’s visit actually highlights the destruction of Black Wallstreet. I bet you wouldn’t even know about it had it not been for this visit, Simon.

Trump is not running away from past racial injustice. Instead, he goes right to the heart of the matter and sympathizes with the Black Community. Trying to make Trump out to be a racist is standard operating procedure for the radical Left, but fewer and fewer Blacks are buying these lies as they see that Trump is actually taking actions that directly make Black Lives Better.

Criticising Trump, the man that’s putting money in Black pockets and releasing Black people held unjustly from jail, falls on deaf ears in many parts of the Black Community. Can’t wait for November!

          • Tom
“Trump’s visit actually highlights the destruction of Black Wallstreet. I bet you wouldn’t even know about it had it not been for this visit, Simon.”
Actually that is probably a reasonable assumption except as luck would have it I have just finished (last week) listening to a great podcast about the massacre on “Stuff You Should Know.” The overriding point is the lengths that were taken to cover the whole thing up. If you have a moment track it down. Actually I have for you… Well worth a listen as are all there podcasts. Very funny too.
            https://www.iheart.com/podcast/105-stuff-you-should-know-26940277/episode/the-tulsa-race-riots-55803532/

          • “The overriding point is the lengths that were taken to cover the whole thing up. If you have a moment track it down.”

I am familiar with the Burning of Black Wall Street. The details of what happened are controversial. It is not even known for sure just how many people were killed or how the riot got started. They have been searching for months lately trying to find hidden graves in various locations around Tulsa, but have found nothing so far, so obviously the full story is not known. That’s not to excuse the ultimate destruction and death that resulted, but as with all things, there is more than one side to the story.

Despite the Burning of Black Wallstreet, Blacks do pretty well in Oklahoma. Here’s a story about one Black woman’s experience in Oklahoma:

            https://www.muskogeephoenix.com/news/three-forks-history-young-black-millionaire-from-oklahoma/article_994415be-2dc1-5230-804b-8f740d79640e.html

Three Forks History: Young black millionaire from Oklahoma

“A Creek Freedman couple named Joseph and Rose Rector settled in the town of Taft (then called Twine). Here, their daughter Sarah was born in 1902. Like all the other family members, Sarah was assigned an allotment of 160 acres in the Creek Nation. A portion of her land was located within the Cushing-Drumright Oil Field.

When Sarah was 12, her appointed guardian negotiated oil leases on her allotment. Quickly she went from earning a few dollars on these leases to earning over $15,000 a month from oil revenue. Her land was producing 2,500 barrels of oil per day. Soon, due to this oil production, Sarah’s estate was worth over $3 million. As a young teen, she was one of the first black female millionaires in the country.”

          • In Simon’s world, whites and conservatives are always at fault.
If you disagree that just proves that you are a racist.
There’s always a conspiracy to keep Simon away from all the free stuff that he’s entitled to.

        • “PS can’t wait for Republican Boltons book.”

Bolton better get his book cleared by the intelligence agencies. All his conversations with Trump are classified information.

I’m not worried about what Bolton is going to say. His book will be like all the other hit pieces on Trump, personal opinions without any substance.

What does it say about Bolton when we now know for certain that the Obama-Biden administration attempted to steal the 2016 presidential election for Hillary, using the full power of the federal government, and failing that, they set up a mechanism to try to paralyze the Trump administratin and even possibly removing him from Office, and yet Bolton is supposedly writing a book that will help to put the theif, Joe China, back in power. So apparently, Bolton’s hate for Trump is so great that he is willing to sell his nation down the river to a bunch of radical Democrat traitors in order to get revenge on Trump. How deranged is that!

Trump really does drive people crazy. Bolton is a good example. The problem for people like Bolton is Trump is on the right track and all his criticizers are on the wrong track, and the People know it. So go ahead and write that book. It won’t make a bit of difference with Trump’s supporters.

          • Tom
“Bolton better get his book cleared by the intelligence agencies. All his conversations with Trump are classified information.”
Yeah nah. A Trump conversation is not classified just coz it’s Trump. It’s the content that counts.
“and yet Bolton is supposedly writing a book that will help to put the theif, Joe China, back in power. …”
I don’t think Bolton is trying to help Biden. Why would he? He’s a republican. No I think he genuinely thinks Trump is unfit for office along with many others who have worked with him in the White House.

“So go ahead and write that book. It won’t make a bit of difference with Trump’s supporters.”
I would have to agree with that….

Anyway back to the Trump rally. Maybe you are right. Maybe the covid danger is not that high. I mean it’s not like they are all overweight, middle aged people with high blood pressure and an anger problems….

          • “I mean it’s not like they are all overweight, middle aged people with high blood pressure and an anger problems….”

Actually, you are correct, Simon. Trump’s supporters are not all overweight, middle-aged people with high blood-pressure and anger problems (yes, I understand you were being sarcastic). When you watch the show, Simon, notice how many young, skinny, happy people are attending. Or don’t watch, if you want to maintain your stereotype of Trump supporters as being bad, bad, bad, and mad, mad, mad.

Slapping a derogatroy description on a whole group of people would be called racism, if it were directed at one particular race. But Trump’s supporters come from all races, so I guess we can’t call it racism, we will just have to call it lies and damn lies.

          • Tom
“Slapping a derogatory description on a whole group of people would be called racism”
Ummm no, racism is about race and Trump ain’t doing too well with those non white Americans, you and I both know that. But come on Tom, people here slag off groups of people all the time. Dems, greens, lefties, socialists, the list goes on, so I hardly think you can accuse me of being unfair by talking about a group. And yes I do watch his rallies, although he does get a little boring the way he repeats the same things over and over. I could just about right his speech now. “Greatest economy, I’m a smart guy, probably the smartest president in the universe, no one is less racist than me, the US is lucky I acted so quickly on covid otherwise a 100 million would be dead…..”

          • “Ummm no, racism is about race and Trump ain’t doing too well with those non white Americans, you and I both know that. But come on Tom, people here slag off groups of people all the time. Dems, greens, lefties, socialists, the list goes on, so I hardly think you can accuse me of being unfair by talking about a group.”

Well, I think Trump is doing quite well with the Black Community. He invited the families of many Black victims of police shootings to the White House yesterday, and Senator Tim Scott described the situation with the Black families as them coming into the meeting with low expectations and leaving the meeting with Trump with high expectations. Some of the familiy members were even singing Trump’s praises for his caring attitude.

I do think you are being unfair to Trump supporters, although I should not have equated it with racism. They are not all old, fat and angry. That’s just a leftwing stereotype.

Btw, I listened to a pollster I respect this morning, and she said that in one of her polls two-thirds of those polled, both Democrat and Republican were against defunding the police, while one-third were in favor of defunding the police.

So I think that kind of describes the political demographic in the United States: Two-thirds of American citizens have common sense, and one-third of Amercian citizens are senseless radicals. The problem is the radical Leftwing Media makes it appear that the radicals are in the majority and are speaking for America. No, they are not There is a Silent Majority out there that hasn’t spoken up yet. I think we will hear from them in November.

          • Tom
You make some fair points. I don’t agree with a few of them, but that is the way of the world.

“I think we will hear from them in November.”
But… which way will they go? We will have to wait and see.

  5. Lise Kingo sounds delusional, she may be developing apophenia, the tendency to mistakenly perceive connections and meaning between unrelated things (Wiki).

    • Christiana Figueres – a social anthropologist – has been spouting climate hogwash or horse manure or BS since she was appointed at the UN in 2010. What is most troubling is that people like her actually believe this hogwash while refusing to listen to any carefully reasoned contrary views. 🥴

      • “What is most troubling is that people like her actually believe this hogwash”

        Do you think they do?

That is the question I always find myself asking when I see some outrageous statement made by some alarmist. I always ask myself: Are they Liars, deliberately spreading falsehoods, or are they Dupes, unwittingly spreading falsehoods? I can reach a conclusion on some people, but not on most because it’s hard to know unless you know that person very well. So I just have to guess.

Unfortunately, whether wittingly or unwittingly, falsehoods about the Earth’s climate are being spread.

        • It is not important if they believe it. These are paid actors without power. It is all fake la la land. They are ordered what to say.

    • “The overall problem is that we are not sustainable in the ways we are living and producing on the planet today,” said Lise Kingo, the executive director of the UN Global Compact, under which businesses sign up to principles of environmental protection and social justice. “The only way forward is to create a world that leaves no one behind.”

If you check Lise Kingo’s Wiki entry, although it does not state how she lives, I’m pretty sure her idea of not leaving anyone behind does not include everyone living as she does.

She is also unlikely to drop her standard of living down to the less fortunate that she does not wish to leave behind.

All of these UN do-gooders have far more impact on the environment than us mere mortals as ivory towers are expensive and expansive

  6. The UN is a bloated, bureaucratic bundle of incompetent corrupt ideologues. Their billion dollar budgets have exploded over recent years with no positive discernable effect except for maybe their lunchtime menu selection.

“…..how we can rebuild more inclusive economies and societies to set a new course for a socially just, low-carbon and climate resilient world, where no one is left behind.”

This is typical of their egotistical rhetoric. “They” won’t be rebuilding anything anytime soon, it takes them a month of Sundays to decide who wants still or sparkling water.

…but alas, their pie in the sky fantasies do influence our weak minded overlords.

  7. From the article: ““The overall problem is that we are not sustainable in the ways we are living and producing on the planet today,” said Lise Kingo, the executive director of the UN Global Compact”

I don’t think that is true. We are currently sustaining ourselves, and the population numbers are declining, so I don’t see any reason why the human race can’t continue doing what it is doing.

The only real problem for humanity is the lack of electrical power in the developing world, which could be solved by good policy decisions, which do not include unreliable energy generation methods like windmills and industrial solar.

That’s the problem: The UN elites keep trying to hold the developing world back by insisting they use unreliable power generation or nothing at all.

Socialism: The Bane of the World.

  8. From the article: “She said there were “very, very clear connections” between the Covid-19 and climate crises, and the Black Lives Matter protests around the world, which she said had helped to reveal deep-seated inequalities and “endemic and structural racism”

Ridiculous! There is no connection between the Wuhan virus crisis and a Human-caused Climate Change crisis. One crisis is real, the Wuhan virus crisis, the other crisis, Human-caused Climate Change is not real, it is science fiction. There is no evidence that humans burning of fossil fuels is causing or will cause the Earth’s climate to change in ways it would otherwise not do.

As for a racism tie, that is equally ridiculous.

  9. From the article: ““Today, the fabric of society and the wellbeing of people hinge on our ability to build a fair globalisation,” he told the two-day UN Global Compact virtual conference of business leaders, which started on Monday.”

Well, with all due respect there bud, I personally, don’t want or need a UN bureaucrat telling me how to live.

    • Oh dear. You and punctuation. You and straight-line thinking. You and making plain sense. Not even in the same zipcode.

  11. I’m sure I’m not the only one here who said this is exactly what they’ve been about from the beginning. It took literally decades of incessant propaganda to prepare the public for this statement. Climate is a bogus scare tactic for the deployment of global oversight of everything we do – and think.

Seriously, does anyone who hasn’t been lobotomized by that propaganda think racism is a serious problem in the developed world? Does anyone who takes the trouble to leave their computer and go for a nice walk believe there’s a “climate emergency”? Of course not. It really is all of a piece: the riots, the Democrats, the UN, “climate change”, BLM, the UN – they share the same goal, and it’s the goal Maurice Strong was honest enough to lay out at the Rio climate conference. For those who missed it:

“What if a small group of world leaders were to conclude that the principal risk to the Earth comes from the actions of the rich countries?… In order to save the planet, the group decides: Isn’t the only hope for the planet that the industrialized civilizations collapse? Isn’t it our responsibility to bring that about?”

  12. First they hijackeda and corrupted climate science for the political agenda….global socialism.
Now they have been hijacking the coronavirus pandemic, which actually proves the opposite of what they claim……as we see the contribution of fossil fuels to our developed economies which drives the quality of our lives.

Without missing the next opportunity to hijact a crisis for the agenda, a black man is murdered by a racist cop and triggers widespread outrage. This too is now is twisted to have profound relevance for the fake climate crisis.

Ironically, we are having a climate optimum on this greening planet and the climate crisis is based on busted computer simulations of the atmosphere going out 100 years…that are being adjusted to make projections even worse……as actual conditions based on observations/empirical data and authentic science show it keeps getting better for life.

If they can just hitch up their cause to enough bad things, some manufactured, they can convince us that the only to fix everything is to do what they tell us by changing the world with a cultural revolution.
If we just do that, we will live in Nirvana,

The perfect weather and climate, behaving exactly as we command it with CO2 as the control knob!
    No more pandemics!
    No more racism!

All we need to do is get rid of those evil fossil fuels.

Attention! Attention! We are now leaving the Twilight Zone and headed back into the real world where facts and authentic science matter.
If you’ve not been in the real world for awhile, you may want to slowly transition so your head doesn’t explode as it tries to adjust to the contrast with the propaganda.

Meanwhile they’ll continue blathering on about ‘Closing the Gap’ no doubt reminding us all of the statistically shorter average life span of indigenous folk over the rest of the immigrant community. It’s all Captain Cook’s fault apparently and knocking down his statue will fix that but to have doubts is racist.

    • One could almost imagine the hand of man in this pandemic. What sounded crazy and fringe-y just a few weeks ago…

  14. People who don’t want to work are humans, just like the rest of us.
They are entitled to the same lifestyle as the rest of us.
(Workings of the left wing mind)

  15. No schist Sherlock, they’re all related- to the Marxists trying to tear down our society and take everyone’s freedoms (except their own I have kind of noticed).
These people have slowly been building up to what it is now and they are attempting, by any and all potential crises to wrest power from the people for themselves. The slow burn of global cooling, then global warming, then global whatever, then pandemic then racism… It’s all the same people behind this. Note the pictures of the Thunbergs (seers of CO2, LOL) in Antifa shirts.
The greed and sickness of these power mongers is incomprehensible to most of us, but nonetheless they are real and they want to end life as we know it. WWIII is upon us and we better start fighting with more than nasty tweets.

  16. The common thread isn’t the false belief in man caused climate change, but unsupportable policy positions from the Progressive Socialists leading them and the MSM to become merchants of hate and fear. This is their method because they know that truth and logic can’t support their desire to end the uniquely American experiment in individual freedom, personal responsibility and free market capitalism.

  17. The only way forward is to create a world that leaves no one behind.” You mean like get rid of us all so the earth can breath a sigh of relief and rise up and say I finally did away with those pesky humans. Did I misunderstand your meaning or am I just not “woke”. Climate change is racist”

  18. It just gets tiring, listening to this relentless production line of BS. Projection everywhere and literally not a scintilla of evidence to support yet more absurd claims. These people are idiots.

Having to point out the fallacy of this nonsense is almost embarrassing but while they keep producing this garbage sensible voices have to keep refuting it. So here we all are, yet again. Madness.

    • Yes, exactly. Why should any aware human being imagine that many of our “experts” and “leaders” are actually blithering idiots? What kind of grades does it take nowadays to get a pass in a science class at Woke University? Would anyone be surprised if they were to learn it was simply a matter of parroting the party line and speculate on what disasters might happen if we keep producing CO2? I wouldn’t.

  19. Here is a thought which came to mind recently. The lefty media has been shouting about rising cases of the virus in some states. Their emphasis is on the concept that removing restrictions on the population has led to increases in some states. However, note that all of the states which have shown a jump in daily new cases are mostly in the south, ie: Texas, Florida, Arizona, Southern California, No/So Carolinas, Alabama, and a few others. Taking note of that I couldn’t help but wonder if the increase in some southern states was related to an increase in new cases in other nations which sit around the same latitude as the US states.

Here are some examples of nations at lower latitudes in the NH showing elevated new case numbers, Mexico, Iran, Iraq, Pakistan, India, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Bangladesh, Egypt, and a few others. So is the correlation meaningful?

    • All these States have increased their testing by a considerable amount. In my State’s case, they are doing four times as much testing as they were doing two weeks ago. So that will account for some of the new positives.

We’ll just have to wait and see how large gatherings, such as demonstrations and political meetings are going to effect the count.

And then we will have to see how well we can quell the infections that result.

  20. How do you get someone to screw themselves?

Psychopaths convince the people they are inadequate, e.g. stupid, the inadequate believe it, and that only they or their “experts” are capable of solving the problem as they want it solved and thus saving the stupid from themselves.

    Nada mas.

It’s should not be about who is right (correct for the pc enabled), but what is right. However, that tends to expose uncomfortable facts that eat away at the fabric of the illusions they have created and fed us…. over and over.

Fear is the number 2 strategy to control people. When that doesn’t work and people speak, the force comes out.
