Climate Extremism is Dividing Democrats

From Inside Sources

Posted to Energy June 08, 2020 by Teri Christoph

Americans need true cooperation among their elected leaders during the coronavirus outbreak, but many left-leaning politicians are trying to use this crisis as an opportunity to pass radical climate plans.

These proposals are not only unrelated to our current needs but also hurt the economy, especially crucial Democrat constituencies.

Presumptive Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden recently said during a fundraiser, “COVID is shining a bright light on the structural racism that plagues our laws, our institutions and our culture. And it’s a wake-up call, a wake-up call to action to climate change overall and to climate justice.”

Woke leftists at a Biden fundraiser might believe this nonsense, but most Democrats know better. Progressives continue to support policies popular among activists but destructive to the average Democrat voter.

Prioritizing the opinions of elites over the working class is beginning to tear apart the Democrat party, as lifelong Democrats are moving toward President Trump and his support for cheap energy and American jobs.

With the economy struggling and 36 million Americans filing for unemployment because of the coronavirus, liberals are recklessly advocating policies plunging the economy into a deeper tailspin. For example, the Green New Deal (GND), which Biden calls a “crucial framework,” increases expenses by tens of thousands annually for an average American family.

Democrats should be reevaluating their costly proposals in this crisis. Instead, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, creator of the GND, is gloating about the massive decline in oil prices tweeting, “You absolutely love to see it. This along with record low-interest rates means it’s the right time for a worker-led, mass investment in green infrastructure to save our planet. *cough*”

Tweeting triumphantly about how the coronavirus is devastating companies supporting close to 10 million American jobs is tone deaf and shows AOC’s priorities.

Progressive disdain for middle America is dividing the Democrat party. Policy proposals like the GND are backfiring on Democrats, as their longtime constituents want to keep the lights on and their bills paid, even if they fail the climate change purity test.

Pennsylvania Lt. Governor John Fetterman, a Democrat who endorsed Bernie Sanders for president in 2016, expresses the concerns of many arguing that a fracking ban would wipe out income that families in the Keystone State depend on for their daily bread.

“In Pennsylvania, you’re talking hundreds of thousands of related jobs that would be — they would be unemployed overnight,” Mr. Fetterman told the New York Times.

Pittsburgh Mayor Bill Peduto echoed similar concerns about an all-out fracking ban. “If a candidate comes into this state and tries to sell that policy, they’re going to have a hard time winning,” he said.

Biden, no doubt for this very reason, has been noncommittal in his remarks about fossil fuels and how far he’s willing to go to appease die-hard green-energy enthusiasts. The presidential candidate in March walked a fine line and said he opposes “new fracking” or oil production.

Seriously, what have democrats given us lately?

Response to a pandemic that has devastated the economy and driven up unemployment and debt to extreme levels. Burned out cities where the poor of all colors are made poorer, but especially blacks, who are suffering even more.

Should we be surprised?

Democrats are the party of slavery, the Confederacy, the Civil War, lynching, the KKK, Jim Crow laws and other forms of black suppression. Oh, the Great Society sounded good. In exchange for the black vote, democrats promised to house and feed them.

What have democrats actually accomplished?

They destroyed the black family. They’ve killed millions of black babies and incarcerated millions of black men. They’ve taken their motivation and given them rat and roach infested slums, black on black crime and a never ending drug war. In exchange, democrats still command their vote.

For the past 50 years or more, it’s been protest, protest, vote democrat. Protest, protest, vote democrat. Something needs to change.

They justify themselves by saying they’re destroying to ‘make things better’ – but destruction is pretty much the limit of what they accomplish – they create nothing. They have to have an existing structure to criticize and blame.

If you boil God and the Devil down to their most basic forms, philosophically, you’re talking about Creation versus Destruction.

Progressives are destruction – and they justify it with moral relativity – essentially the Devil can speak scripture for his purpose.

Scissor, may I repost your comment, please, with or without attribution as you may desire? It is excellent, accurate and timely. I want to share it as widely as I can.

One nit, the Democrats have been at this game for the last 60 years. Their sins, of which there are many, pre-date the Civil War, of course, and extend well past it through today. One has only to look at Andrew Jackson who was one of the Democrat Party’s founders and his treatment of the Cherokee Indians and the Trail of Tears, against the ruling of the SCOTUS.
They seem to hate the US, the Constitution and, especially, the Bill of Rights. They have been trying to nullify both since their founding and are now hell bent on destroying the entire country along with
Western Civilization and are quite willing to take down the whole world to rule as they see fit.

The Democrat party has abandoned the working class and has become the party of “well graduated” elitists. The working people, not being nearly as dumb as the liberals think, has noticed. The result is President Trump. Listen Liberal!

The Good Lord willing, and the creek don’t rise, President Trump will win again in November. If you think The Donald is bad, just look out for what’s in store if both parties continue to throw the majority of the American population under the bus. Think it can’t happen here, well, you just don’t know your history very well. Just saying.

Linda, good point on Devros. The whole western world is at grievous risk, not because of climate change, even if it were to be truly happening. It is the cynical, colossal corruption of education by global soshulists to brainwash children and university students into minions for their use destructive use. Universities over the past half century have subverted scholarly education, and independent thought, to turn out supporters for the destruction of Western Civilization. History is gone. Sociology some 90yrs ago was the first to go. Biology as a science has been gone since the 1950s (things are bad for the plant and animal kingdom and it’s white humans’ fault).

A stupid minister (Mr. Gove) in the UK government apologized recently for his country’s huge contribution to the Age of Enlightenment and the Industrial Revolution – the pinnacles of human accomplishment for the betterment of the people of the world. STEM (should be SEM because Tech is pure Engineering) was immune to the marksbrothers global plan until recent years. Now the contagion has wormed its way into this group by takeover of science and engineering associations and societies and throwing engineering faculty doors open to the woefully incapable students.

Yeah, Betty Devros, you better get out there and start saving the world from its worst peril.

The take here is AOC has been propagating divisive race-baiting messaging for over two years that helped fuel and incite these organized groups, which share some connections to her. The responsibility for the recent damage to society and in the future falls to her and her GND fanatics.

Where has she been lately? Where are her strong condemnations of the looting, vandalism, and attacks on cops and white bystanders? When is she ever confronted over her culpability in creating strife in the country with her rhetoric?

The best thing that can happen now is a sincere and open discussion of how this radical member of Congress is inciting America to violence, and getting away with it with impunity.

“Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, creator of the GND, is gloating about the massive decline in oil prices”

Obviously, shes never studied economics. Lower oil prices mean ‘green’ energy becomes even more expensive relative to fossil fuels. Even with its massive subsidies, green is not cost even competitive when oil prices are high. She must know that the reason for the low oil prices is because economies have been shut down, much like what the GND will do. It’s quit obvious that what she’s so giddy about in is the fact that economies have been shut down. And this nihilistic lunatic is the face of the new Democratic party?

It not just climate extremism, but far left extremism in general that’s dividing Democrats, as well it should.

“Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez” oh you mean Sandy, she grew up in an area the average home price was a half a million, if someone made 50,000 a year they were poor. The most funny think if she is a economics major some how the economics she learned does not operate in the real world. Senile Joe Biden was quoted saying, “COVID is shining a bright light on the structural racism that plagues our laws, our institutions and our culture.”

The guy is simply making stuff up in order to pander to his “woke children” base who are ignorant of facts. There are no laws where structural racism exists in the US. None. That is not the same thing as saying there aren’t racist in government positions. But in no case are there still “racist” laws. If anything reverse discrimination exists in affirmative action laws that base mandatory hiring or admissions quotas based on race.

Poor Senile Joe likely doesn’t even know what going on around him most of the time now. He just reads scripted remarks. And when he goes ad-lib, he almost always muddles something. In the linked Daily Wire article above, which that racism-climate quote came from, it also notes he used the word “aggress” instead of “address” when posing a question Fat Al Gore. The guy’s brain can’t even pull up correct words anymore. If he does debate Trump on stage where he has no outside help, his brain-fog, addled-state will become horrifyingly clear to Democrats who’ve tried to ignore it. This is exactly the same thing they did with Hillary in 2016. Her supporters simply ignored the glaringly obvious ethical and health problems she has. And with Senile Joe leading their ticket in November the outcome will be the same.

Our friends on the Left are always re-inventing words. Who could possibly be against “progress”, right? That is the word the Communists used back in the twenties and thirties, until it became unpopular due to the association with them. Then they appropriated the word “liberal” and changed it into the almost opposite meaning. Now “liberal” has the same bad connotations, and they’re hoping that we forget “progressive”. This, IMHO, is the reaason public schools no longer teach history and civics- ignorant people are easier to manipulate.

And “Antifa”? Supposed to mean “anti” fascist, but a look back in history shows they use the same tactics, threats, and intimidation (not to mention uniforms) as the Italian “blackshirts” that are their true forebears.

Kpar,
Woodrow Wilson was the first Democrat Progressive President. He, along with his pal, Margaret Sanger, were white supremacists–the real kind. He segregated the Federal workforce. She championed birth control to rid the US of the black race. They both championed Eugenics along with other Progressives in academia and the wealthy elites of their day.
Few people know that Hitler’s idea of exterminating the Jews and other “undesirables” came directly from Sanger, Wilson and the California academic Progressive scientists. In 1927, they even got SCOTUS to make Eugenics the Law of the Land, see Buck v Bell. Somehow, most of the “undesirables” who were sterilized were black. Imagine that?

Hitler was so taken with this new science, he even wrote the Calif. Progressives a thank you note. It is from the Democrat Progressives he got the idea that led to his atrocities.

In 1944, when the world learned of what Hitler was doing, (the NY Times had knowledge of it but kept quiet about it), the world was horrified. At the Nuremberg trials, the Nazis even used the fact that the “science” of Eugenics came from American Progressives as a defense, insisting they should not be prosecuted for implementing American science.

That is when and why the Democrats dropped Progressive and adopted Liberal. With the passage of time and their success in dumbing down education and after they gave Liberal a bad name, they went back to Progressive, figuring correctly that no one would know why they dropped it to begin with.

Virginia was the last state in the nation to ban eugenics. It was still the Law of the Land there until 1974. Actually, it is still the Law of the Land today as it’s never been overturned.

I forget now which Southern state it was, but in 2000 when the GOP took over the Legislature and the Governorship, they got a law passed paying reparations to the still living victims of Eugenics who had been sterilized.
Anyway, it wasn’t their association with communists who made them abandon the label, it was their association with Hitler and his extermination practices who made the abandon it for Liberal.

If I had not drowned my computer which is now in the Apple hospital, I could give you the link to this sorry, tragic tale. I am racking my brain for the web site but, alas, to no avail. If they can save my hard drive or I manage to retrieve it from iCloud when I get it back, I’ll post it at some future point.
I am using my husband’s chromebook right now and it’s just too frustrating to search for much of anything on it, especially, since all of my passwords are on my now sick computer.

There are a lot of Democrats that have gone quiet over this total nutfringe exursion left by leaders of the party that continues to push further and further into destructive madness. The article makes a good point. No truly awake person doubts that Trump is comfortably a shoo-in for a second term.

Democrat leaders seem to have accepted defeat right from the beginning with the fielding of a gaggle of cartoonish unelectable characters. Between Commie Bernie and the freshman Congresswomen who hijacked the party platform, stood the best they had, Joe Biden who is well past his best-before -date and Pocahontas Warren, guilty of the progressives’ high crime of cultural appropriation. No sane Democrat wanted the job or this silliness couldn’t have happened.

I knew there had to be Democrats that were normal sensible people. I hadn’t understood until this article, though, that they are going vote for Trump! Can I just get this out there? Can I just go slightly OT for just a moment? I know a lot of us know this, but…

George Floyd died of heart failure. He had severe coronary artery disease (as much as 90% blockage in one vessel), chronic hypertension, COVID-19 infection, and had been a long-term substance abuser with fentanyl and methamphetamine in his system at the time of death. No petechiae, neck contusions or any other indication of asphyxiation were found.

It’s all there in the autopsy report, available for anyone to read. No doubt the stress of being caught again in the commission of a crime while intoxicated, and almost certainly resisting (I saw one video where immediately after being apprehended he staggered for a while then sat down on the sidewalk, so at some point after that the officers must have felt it necessary to use more force) contributed, but there it is – he killed himself.

A sad end, but heck, he had among other things in his history of felonies held a gun to the belly of a pregnant woman while his friends ransacked her home. Very hard to find much sympathy, but golly, they sure gave him a grand sendoff, and thanks to for-whorehire celebrity MEs, the record will show he was killed by the police. No question either in my mind that Antifa and BLM were just waiting for a story like this to hit the news so they could take America down another notch. Scum!

Even though I’m left-leaning, I don’t vote because I’m stuck with a choice between a party that pisses off old people to get votes and a party that terrifies children to get votes. Yeah, it’s an oversimplification, but I’m practicing being a simpleton so I can fit in with the bulk of the rest of society.

I’ll be voting this time in the name of #savingthechildren from Big Terror. And saving everyone else who relies on people who do things to grow stuff, make stuff, and sell stuff.

What makes this election different for me? The absolute BS of the “climate !!!EMERGENCY!!!” is a given. The COVID19 overreaction is as well, and I believe that to a degree, the Democrats are capitalizing on the latter and exploiting it to win the election, regardless of the harm that it’s doing to black people. And gay people. And trans people. And bi people. And immigrants. And animals. And American job-destroying multi-millionaires and billionaires who accumulate vast, obscene riches on the backs of starving peasants, but are socially aware of intersectional victimization by the colonialist patriarchy. And even for the rest of us who don’t count. And those of us who CAN’T count because the schools are closed.

But as bad as these things are, the absolute most dangerous thing that the Democrats are doing is censoring opposing voices: silencing through bans, deletions, and shadow bans on youtube, facebook, twitter, amazon, and everywhere else that’s controlled by condescendingly compassionate overlords who do things for our own good. In fact, this is one of the most dangerous things that has happened in this country in my lifetime and beyond. They used to do this via public shaming and guilt-tripping, but now they’ve taken the next logical step because they realize that we dumb-dumbs aren’t growing sufficiently outraged and frightened.

Biden:”COVID is shining a bright light on the structural racism that plagues our laws, our institutions and our culture. And it’s a wake-up call, a wake-up call to action to climate change overall and to climate justice.”

This reads like a middle school science project on artificial intelligence that uses buzzwords to create a political campaign. How can the guy be so dumb that he can’t see that plagiarizing Neil Kinnock is a better idea?

AOC: “You absolutely love to see it. This along with record low-interest rates means it’s the right time for a worker-led, mass investment in green infrastructure to save our planet. ”

I may be wrong, but I believe this quote omits the next sentence: “nyeah, nyeah, nyeahnyeah, nyeah!” Where are these workers of whom she speaks? Aren’t they collecting unemployment now? And color me naive, but wouldn’t low oil prices be a problem for the exhorbitantly high priced green competitor than has an exhorbitantly poor track record for performance?

The voting booth is going to be one big stinking pile of @ss this year (what else is new?), but I’ll be holding my nose and voting against the loonies who are winning the battle to out-looney the loonies.
