On Climate Change with Joe Inslee is Joe Biden’s effort to explain his climate policies.
Joe Biden has a podcast, and there’s an episode on climate change

The public rarely gets access to the real Joe Biden. His team keeps the gaffe-prone 77-year-old on a tight leash on the campaign trail. That strategy has paid off handsomely; the former vice president is now the presumptive Democratic nominee for president. But there is a way to get access to the inner workings of Uncle Joe’s brain, and it doesn’t require sneaking past the Secret Service.
Biden has taken a tip from the entire male population of Williamsburg, Brooklyn, and started his own podcast. It’s called Here’s the Deal — possibly the most on-brand title of a podcast in the history of the genre.
…
Inslee plugs his endorsement again on the podcast. “I can’t wait to have an optimist back in the White House,” he tells Biden. The whole thing sounds like a voicemail two of your grandparents left you — wholesome, if a bit rambly. Except in this case one of the grandparents is gearing up for what may be the most consequential election of our lifetimes. “Wash your hands,” Inslee, sounding concerned, tells Biden toward the end of the episode. “I did!” Biden assures him.

I listened to the whole podcast. Lots of “yes we can do it”, but not a lot of substance about what he actually plans to do. Normally I take a few notes and provide a summary, and maybe offer a critique, but there was nothing to summarise. I thought about listening to it again, see if I missed anything, but decided not to.

This election will be Trump’s to lose. All he has to do is switch his mouth filter to “on”, stay away from controversy, and keep putting America first. So far he has provided the last of those three requirements.
If Mr. Trump looses then, we might as well be millions, on both sides of the “pond”, to meet by the city fountain facing the unemployment office, silently shake heads and hope the night won’t be as freezing as the last one.
The way greens prepare to party is not a good sign though.
After all maybe our civilization is doomed due to a pandemic of acute electoral oligophrenia.
[awesome comment. Shame the email was invalid-mod]
Before the election will the #metoo movement be renamed to #metooleft ?
There is a wild card in this election that has not been mentioned here. It appears that the General Flynn case is about to bust wide open with the potential to do tremendous damage to some of the swamp and even possibly their media mouthpieces. I’m talking possible criminal misconduct of prominent players in the FBI, DOJ, Muller team, and even a prominent DC law firm being exposed to the light of day.

Yes, things are getting interesting. Former Obama minions are sweating. I wonder if Hillary is sweating?
On the other hand, Joe has produced some awesome Beat Generation poetry.
The democrat primary has been like a horse race where the horses keep dropping dead along the course. Now only Creepy Joe is approaching the finish line and he’s stumbling and not sure which direction to go. It’s the most absurd campaign I’ve ever seen. We’re not eve sure if the one horse left in the race will even make it to the finish line.
Why does he think it’s OK to put his hands on women and children? Why does he think it’s OK to make women feel uncomfortable and to frighten children?
If he’s got dementia, than I guess he might not know what he’s doing and just going with his instincts.
If he hasn’t got dementia, then he’s a dangerous creep.
Either way, why is nobody pushing back against him?
It’s indicative of both an abject lack of courage of ALL people around him
AND
the fact that Biden is in some way intimidating.
So Biden is bully. It’s an established fact.

“His team keeps the gaffe-prone 77-year-old on a tight leash on the campaign trail.”
Considering the current president, it seems that being a gaffe-prone guy is an essential requirement for success to reach the white house. the more the better.
Okay, the guy is 78. Ronald Reagan left office at the age of 76, at which time he had next to no short term memory. The greatest media scandal of the eighties is that everyone in Congress and the Washington press corps must have known of Reagan’s disability, and yet concealed it from the public.
This business of politely concealing a president’s personal failings is much too common. During much of FDR’s presidency, for example, the press concealed the fact that he couldn’t stand or walk.
Political insiders must know if Biden is mentally competent. If he isn’t, they aren’t letting on, and if wins the presidency, they won’t discuss it at all. I distrust upper echelon Washington reporters, who seem to view it as a professional responsibility to shield the president from any aspersions that he may be an idiot. (Although this protocol has largely been set aside in the case of Donald Trump, because everybody hates him.)
Hiding that is a gift in nature to the campaign. They must either be counted in the campaign finance or ALL ELECTION FINANCE LAWS NEED TO BE NULLIFIED right now.
I prefer the later, but I’m not even American, so… although as a non American I still should be entitled vote on what the US law in that specific subject is. Unless of course you Americans dishonest Mueller and his thugs. Officially.
I was frustrated by links pointing to Biden’s campaign site. You cannot get to the podcast from there without first registering with Biden(for president). If you want to listen to this podcast without that silly crap, go here:
https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/on-climate-change-with-governor-jay-inslee/id1505238447?i=1000472332555
The podcast is silly. Biden hosts guest Jay Inslee, the governor of Washington. They both stroke each other to begin, then Biden strokes Inslee as a great battler against Covid, and then goes on to compare the crises of Covid and climate change. Inslee adds the 3 crisis of inadequate leadership in Washington D.C. promoting Biden’s run. Inslee claims Washington (state) is successful against Covid because the population there “believes in science.” He goes on to promotes solar, batteries and green energy being deprecated by Michael Moore’s new movie. Biden stumbles on, never ending his sentences, jumping to whole new thoughts, somewhere managing in there to promote electric charging stations on highways. They never touch on Inslee’s own failed candidacy, or why people didn’t flock to his campaign.
Today New York cancelled it’s primary. I read an interesting analysis of this.
Seems that since there was no primary, at the convention, New York’s delegates will be uncommitted.
Uncle Joe currently doesn’t have enough delegates committed to him, to win the nomination on the first round.
After the first round, all delegates become uncommitted.
If enough states of the remaining states were to cancel their primaries, nobody would have a majority of committed delegates going into the convention.
The result of which is that after the first round, the convention is free to pick anyone.
So, Hillary again?
Don’t tell me she wouldn’t want a come back.
Hillary’s health isn’t much better than Biden’s. Either one of them will probably have to be stuffed and propped up against the podium before the campaign is over.
Wasn’t it a Monty Python cartoon where the old Soviet leaders were on the podium on top of Lenin’s Tomb ?
It was an archade game where players shot BB’s to knock over the guy at the microphone to carnival music, and the line shuffled to take the dropped one’s place ?
That’s likely what the Democrat Convention may be like.
Joe would be biding his time for another four years, if he had enough time to bide.
Quid Pro Quo Joe fingered for fingering! Juicy!
