Can you endure 20 minutes of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez trying to look like she understands climate change, economics, manufacturing, farming and indigenous issues, without reaching for a sick bag or strong drink?
When the Green New Deal originally reached the senate, all the Republicans voted against, and Democrats voted “present”, allegedly in protest at Republicans forcing an early vote, but in my opinion more likely because they didn’t want to have to answer questions from their voters.
Occasio-Cortez seems to believe that the reason people oppose her brainchild is they don’t understand that if the GND is passed, everyone will have a guaranteed job, all native treaties will be honoured, everyone will have free healthcare and the nation will run on affordable 100% renewable energy.

I think she lifted that from The Three Amigos. Reminds me of the speech made by the great Lucky Day at El Guapos fortress.
The only reason I would follow her is to make sure she jumped off the cliff she is heading to.
The “Green New Deal” is certainly stupid. But AOC isn’t, I think she knows exactly who her audience is and she knows exactly what she is doing.
I just spent $300 getting my laptop repaired, no darn way I’ll hit the play button on that video.

Ok I watched the whole thing. It was painful but I admit I hadn’t ever taken the time to learn anything about it. It’s a cool story, needs more dragons but you’ve got to admit it sounds awesome.
IF any of it was real.
All throughout there are a couple of terms that are repeated. One is “as far as technologically feasible” which means most of it will never happen.
The other is “providing it doesn’t disadvantage anyone” which means none of it will ever happen.
I wonder if the great rousing speeches Mr Kim gives to his devoted serfs in the DPRK are similar to this without the climate sob story.
Even if the total financial cost of it could be estimated and I dispute that it’s even possible to do that much, the technological feasibility is so far removed from reality it would never happen.
Also there is no way this is an original piece of thought from AOC. This comes from further up the food chain.
AOC will be lucky to hold her seat . The raw deal she was reading is going no where .
Happy USA! The NGD will never happen for them. Unfortunately, it will happen to the EU. The new EU leader Ursula von der Leyen has proclaimed that a NGD with costs of 3 Trillion Euros will be implemented. Just as former Bavarian politican Franz Joseph Strauß said: It must get worse before it gets better.
