Barf Challenge: Watch AOC Read the Entire Green New Deal Resolution

Guest essay by Eric Worrall

Can you endure 20 minutes of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez trying to look like she understands climate change, economics, manufacturing, farming and indigenous issues, without reaching for a sick bag or strong drink?

When the Green New Deal originally reached the senate, all the Republicans voted against, and Democrats voted “present”, allegedly in protest at Republicans forcing an early vote, but in my opinion more likely because they didn’t want to have to answer questions from their voters.

Occasio-Cortez seems to believe that the reason people oppose her brainchild is they don’t understand that if the GND is passed, everyone will have a guaranteed job, all native treaties will be honoured, everyone will have free healthcare and the nation will run on affordable 100% renewable energy.

Eric, it’s almost dinner time on the east coast (right now it’s 5:32 Newfie time) and you’ve posted a barf challenge? How dare you?!!!

Hopefully, I’m the first to link the barf-o-rama scene from the movie “Stand By Me”:

Well, I have to chime in. This New Green Deal which isn’t new nor is it green is not the brainchild of AOC. It’s just the same Old Green Deal deception marketed and pushed by the UN quite some time ago to take control of everything. Al Gore picked it up and ran with it…off a cliff. This time they chose a young woman, with the charm and mannerisms of a female Castro, gave her the appropriate talking points to push with none of the answers, one being: how to fund their reorganizing and demands of everyone’s life under green socialism. Everyone gets a good job with good pay? lol. If gov could do that, they’d be doing it now. Socialism dictates. Your good job may be a street sweeper. Since their rhetoric hasn’t worked so well, they bring on the kids-Greta for one, and teach the lies in school. Smacks of desperation.

Are you a bridge player? A good bridge player goes down one in three, otherwise they are underbidding.

I think I have gone into business nine times, with two surviving. No bankruptcy but heck, that is more like an accident of history. I think acumen is underestimated and political gamesmanship skills over-rated. At least an experienced businessman can look at a contract and say, “No one should have signed this deal.” Think NAFTA

If “loony behavior” elected trump, then there is no adjective to describe the sort of behavior that would elect the Green New Deal. We would have to invent an entirely new word to describe this level of mass stupidity.

Trump has accomplished 189 noteworthy things– four times more than I expected but only half of what still needs to be done!

The Democrats want to undo all of Trump’s accomplishments and continue with Obama’s decline of our country to third-world status!

That’s the only way the globalists could make Communist China the sole superpower!

Now you know why their hatred for Trump is all-consuming, and why they hate his supporters just as much!

Trump doesn’t act the way liberals believe the proles should act, therefore he’s looney.

John Tillman, I think you are close to suggesting a scientific experiment, ie, how many strong drinks (recommended by Eric W) do you need to consume before watching the video of her presentation of the Green Weenie Deal, before it starts to make sense? I had two glasses of wine with my dinner and it wasn’t enough, so the experimenters need to start with three drinks and go up from there. Isn’t science wonderful?

At 3:10 she is prartling on about how CC will cause economic damage of $500M by 2100 then about Sea level rise causing a further $1B from inundation by 2050.
Yet her GND will only cost $93B over 10 years to avoid that $1.5B in damages and economic losses by 2100.
At about 5:00 she starts talking about worker pay level stagnation since the 70’s causing De-industrialization like she views ending industrialization as a problem needing a cure.
I thought the Watermelon goal WAS to end the Industrialization of the developed nations and transfer wealth to their pockets the developing nations.
I only listened till 6:30 and stoods all I coulds.
The one thing I gathered from it is her over use of A B C and 1 2 3
Just before she started reading her GND manifesto she is complaining that not a single senator that is complaining about it “has opened a single word of it” How in the check do you open a word?

LOL, your first paragraph is really the kicker. Only somebody whose “economics” degree proves what worthless pieces of paper “college degrees” have become can think it’s remotely sane to spend $93 Billion to avoid damages of $1.5 Billion.

Armed with readings from the Green New Deal, Alexandria Occasional-Cortex could have stood in for Tomás de Torquemada the Torturer

Bryan A
March 2, 2020 2:41 pm

Had to stop at 6:30. She’s difficult to follow when she speaks (rather disjointedly).
From the first 5 minutes (with the presumed cost of the GND is $93T over 10 years) GND needs to be in place to stop the potential losses from climate change of $500B by 2100 and to eliminate the possibility of damages from Coastal Erosion and inundation offsetting the potential costs of $1T by 2050

So to save $1.5T in potential Climate related expenses by 2050 and a further coastal flooding issues by 2100 the GNE demands that we spend $93T over the next 10 years.

And at just over 5 minutes in AOC is ranting about wage stagnation since the 1970’s due to De-Industrialization??? I thought that the purpose of the GND (at least the goal of the EcoFascists) was to force De-Industrialization … am I missing something????

OK, you guys are mixing me up with the Billions vs. Trillions thing.

So it’s $93 TRILLION to avoid an imaginary $1.5 TRILLION, right?

STILL proving that an “economics degree” is held by “graduates” who can’t add and subtract. The university this ditz “graduated” from should have its accreditation revoked, pronto.

Let me guess … she did NOT include this sentence which was in her original presentation.

“and a basic minimum income for everyone, whether they are willing to work or not.”

{i love the use of the word “income.” ‘Yep, keep that distribution incoming, baby.’}

Don’t let anyone tell you she did not say that. She did. Her buddies all had a heart attack and made her redact that phrase immediately. Too late. We all saw it.

It is the true wet dream of collectivists, especially Progressives: “I don’t have to do anything. Just by wanting it and being alive, it will magically come to me.” And they are angry this does not seem to function very well at the present time. And so: Bernie.
