CFACT was at the Bonn climate conference (which collapsed by the way) interviewed a number of ahem, shall we say, “interesting” people.
They write:
At the UN Climate Conference in Bonn, Germany, we came across a delegate who explained that the unusual cold weather accompanying the conference (yes, the “Gore Effect” was out in force!) was a perfect example of how global warming is affecting our lives!

Let’s not blame this poor lady, she is a product of billions of dollars spent on propaganda. It has to produce some results? No? There are many like her in a location near you. She will probably be pointed to this WUWT post and read the comments. If she is smart she will realise that she has been duped. If not then the propaganda has won her mind. What can we do about this?

CAGW believers are not stupid. Their belief brings them more benefit (financial and/or egotistical and/or spiritual and/or social, etc.) than non-belief.

She lost the plot when asked the same question twice! The first time through she had their talking points “climate CHANGE” and “extreme weather” that would play well in the warmista world but then got confused and reverted to “global WARMING”. You see they have been brainwashed so thoroughly with the “global warming” line that it is hard even for them to change to “climate change”.
PS. I used to reply to the Nigerian emails for fun: “But General Mobutu has promised me double what you are offering so what can you do for me to sweeten the offer?”.

Bob Diaz — Great question! I, too, thought the interviewer was a but unprepared — should have pursued her with questions until she was forced into:
A. mumbling, “…uh…. uh… uh…..” or
B. throwing a fit and flouncing out.
Yeah, her stupidity was exposed, but, liars shouldn’t be let off that easy, IMO. Oh, yes, even if she wasn’t sure whether or not she was lying, she knew VERY WELL that she had no idea whether or not what she was saying was really true. Thus, she was RECKLESSLY asserting those lines of nonsense and, thus, she INTENDED to incur a known risk of deceiving.
Darrin — great link. I only read a little bit, but it sounds like fun AND a genuinely good way to try to catch some of those guys, or, at least, block them for awhile… . I think I’ll just ignore them, though. Not a game for one with my low-level computer skills/knowledge, I think.

Bill Maher makes jokes about sceptics referring to “global warming” as a religion. This video was as clear a demonstration as one will ever get of the religion of global warming. Without argument It “explains” everything. It is probably the strongest religion in the western world at the moment.
