Tim Blair of the Telegraph catches this little slip, which is rather telling. He writes:
Jeff Young interviews Maggie Fox, President and CEO of Al Gore’s latest scam, the Climate Reality Project:
FOX: I think the notion of Vice President Gore as a divisive figure is a bit of a hoax, just like the people who are denying climate change. It’s a pre-frame, it’s a fabrication that suits those who want to keep the status quo. So if you have a prophet, if you have someone who has woken up to a particular challenge in the world and that person speaks, if that disrupts things, who is going to be and what are the voices going to be that say that person doesn’t have credibility? Those voices that don’t want that change … There are so many more voices clamoring to hear what he has to say that his right to speak and need to speak is more than made clear virtually every day.
YOUNG: Did you just refer to him as a prophet?
FOX: I think he is a prophet on climate change. I think he woke up to this issue in his earliest years, expected as other people learned about it that they would also wake up to its significance … His presumption as a young man was that once you heard the information the world would shift and start getting its act together, and that hasn’t happened.

Here’s an “inconvenient truth”:

NOTE: Since some commenters misunderstand the above graph, here’s an explanation. It is traffic rank, not hits. WUWT is in the top most visited websites of the world, AlGore’s CRP is not.

By the way Hugh Pepper, you said, ” but only if they are intended to complete the picture being portrayed by disciplined scientists “.
Are you referring to the likes of Michael Mann, Gavin Schmidt, Phill Jones, Ray Bradley, Malcolm Hughes, Keith Briffa, Casper Ammann, Rosanne D’Arrigo, Gabriele Hergerl, Tom Crowley, Scot Sutherland, to name but a few?
Sorry about the list but I am wondering what your definition of “disciplined” is.
I’m guessing the missing ‘A’ in CR(A)P stands for ‘Alteration’.

“Prophet or false prophet both have their detractors. When the prophet claims that HE is the prophet, we know he is the false one. The real ones deny it, claiming only that they have figured out something worth thinking about.”
Alright I AM the Messiah! Now F*** OFF!

Where would we be if big Al had become president?
Notice how when Obama has spoken in the last several weeks the markets have sharply plummeted immediately afterward? But Dubya’s speeches often had the same result.
I still don’t think it’s appropriate for WUWT to compare its internet traffic with a billboard.
Is Al Gore a Democrat? Yes? Well that’s all I need to know!
Man Made Climate Change is REAL, Al Gore is a prophet and Co2 is a pollutant!!
Cap And Trade!! Cap And Trade!!

“…Can we get that painting of Gore to move its mouth Monty Python style?”
Dunno how ethical it is… and my apologies to the artist who did the PGore image at the top, but sure.

WUWT would absolutely be the top shelf blog in the world if we could maybe do a little more light political wrangling imho. Oh, and more Pamela Gray… have her do some articles…
Blood and Thunder Prophet: [screaming] … and the bezan shall be huge and black, and the eyes thereof red with the blood of living creatures, and the whore of Babylon shall ride forth on a three-headed serpent, and throughout the lands, there will be a great rubbing of parts. Yeeah…

I bet you the people responsible for the ‘Hide the decline’ Utubes, surely will come up with something about this Al Gore debacle. What these alarmists use is language that can be misinterpretated. If you are asked ‘Do You Believe in Climate Change’ say yes, but not AGW
Gore style.

I think you should drop your obsession with Al Gore. The science which he reports speaks for itself, and the evidence is beyond dispute.
Aha, Hugh, so you now faithfully report from The Prophet that he himself hath settled that “The science is settled”? Indeed, what greater
obsessionscientific proof can there be?Al Gore has enough dollars to rough out this storm of dissent and his fraudulent view of AGW, all to make a profit by investing in carbon trading (failing) or green energy. But I bet you the James
Hansen, Stephen Schneider, Michael Mann, Phil Jones, et al, are including the chairman of the IPCC are knocking their knees. I wonder if they will get any work when the real convenient truth is aired internationally. Remember Durban is due at the end of the year? Like Copenhagen 2009 it looks like this will be a non event, as America, China, Canada, Japan and another large country will not be signing any Kyoto 2012 renewal. It’s a carbon bubble eh? Well it is going flat folks.
Perhaps Fox was misheard and actually said pro-fat…?
Instant classic. I am so stealing that!
Al Gore, Climate Propheteer. He went to divinity school you know. We just weren’t told that it was Climate divinity school.
THE PROBLEM WITH AL GORE IS HE IS LOSING THE PLOT PLUS HIS MONEY WHICH HE THINKS OF MORE THAN ANYTHING .
I have to hand it to Gore: He sure knows how to name his organizations.
Al Gores CRP.
Prophetic, Al. A total zinger.
I can’t believe that Gore actually called his website CRP! Either he is completely unaware, or the whole thing is a big joke.
Incidentally, is Al Jewish? I understand that Hebrew does not have written vowels – perhaps he is the Messiah after all?
Prophet of doom….. Or Profit from doom?
… anyway, I think that popping sound we heard on the stock market might have been Al’s profit ascending to heavens knows where…..;-)
I can somewhat understand people’s dislike of Gore even though I think it’s ashame that people want to shoot the messenger. But James Hansen? Does this really seem like a money hungry person:
Did I get banned?
I’m amazed how you manage to close your eyes, not seeing what happens in the world. Our consuming deprives our children, or grandchildren, air to breathe or water to drink. But you can’t see that coming, because the major changes happens where you cant see them, outside the US.
Listen to Mr Gore, and try to be proud of the work he does. After all, he got the Nobel Peace price, and that has to mean something, right?
And yes, you can make money by by living an environmentalfriendly life! Go, Gore, Go!!!!
Some much venom here from one man. It’s amazing.
Latitude, please use /sarc if you intend to mean the opposite of what you are saying. Otherwise you look like just another troll.
Will you people that keep saying that there are 9 errors in AIT, please stop.
There are at least 35 errors.

……Contrarian views are important, but only if they are intended to complete the picture being portrayed by disciplined scientists……
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Disciplined scientists? Are you referring to those scientists who have been disciplined to always say yes to their paymasters?
Do you realise that great scientific dicoveries have mostly been made by the undisciplined ones? Think about it.
