Sky’s Off The Charts El Nino

From NOT A LOT OF PEOPLE KNOW THAT

More climate propaganda from Sky:

It’s the same old El Nino scare we have been fed with already this year.

The logic goes:

El Nino raises global temperatures – this current El Nino is stronger than normal – global warming makes weather more extreme – therefore extreme weather will be worse.

The logic is faulty and baseless. What El Ninos (and La Ninas) do is shift weather patterns around the globe.

So it brings changing weather, not more extreme weather.

This Sky video, presented by its Climate Reporter, Victoria Seabrook, highlights wildfires in Indonesia and an active hurricane season in the East Pacific. And….. that’s just about it.

It hardly supports Seabrook’s claim of grave warnings from the WMO, whose Head says:

“Literally off the monitoring charts that we have used for the past four decades”

El Nino invariably brings dry weather to Indonesia, and consequently wildfires. But fires this year certainly are not “off the charts”:

And while the Pacific has had an active hurricane season, worldwide it has just been another average year for hurricanes:

Seabrook shows how unsuited she is for her job, when she points out that we can expect wetter and windier conditions in the UK because of El Nino, but then ridiculously implies that Storm Austen and Boelo are somehow proof of that, when they are both the sort of weather we get every year. This is followed by an outright lie:

“More intense weather is expected around the world for the coming months”

In fact, this year’s El Nino is no stronger than earlier events:

We don’t expect anything better from Sky or the WMO, but we do from the Royal Meteorological Society, whose Chief Executive, Liz Bentley, joined the fray, talking about climate change:

“That’s really the concern that we have as scientists. What is going to play out, because we’ve got a warmer climate and we’ve got a strong El Nino happening. And we’ve never seen those two leading to the level of heat that we’ve got in the Pacific”

As you don’t know, why scaremonger then?

Your job as meteorologists is to tell us what the weather will be. If you don’t know, just admit it, instead of running with false narratives.

And when winter is over, you can analyse the data and tell us what actually did happen.

TLDR: El nino is phenomenally strong. We have absolutely no ***** idea what this will do in terms of winter weather.

Wildfires in Indonesia is a giveaway of a reporter running wild from facts. Everybody in southeast Asia knows the drill with smoke caused by humans burning forests annually in Indonesia and Malaysia. Hopefully AI research assistants can put climate media propaganda to bed soon. Enlightened and connected populations are counting on it.
