Greens leader Adam Bandt has come under fire for racking up an expenses bill of almost $1million a year, including hundreds of thousands on printing and two private jet flights.

The anti-fossil fuel campaigner also claimed $12,000 on a taxpayer-provided vehicle and petrol allowance plus $29,000 on government COMCAR trips and taxis, according to figures from the Department of Finance.

Despite his party’s core policy of cutting C02 emissions Mr Bandt used two private jets during the 2022 election campaign, landing tax payers with the $23,000 bill.

His hypocrisy is a feature, not an issue.

March 12, 2024 6:15 pm

If the Greens members allow Brandt to stay on as their “leader” after these revelations, then they too fully deserve to be called hypocrites.

No one should be surprised by this revelation and others like it. The Greens in any country are among the biggest hypocrites when it comes to climate action. Thousands can be found annually at the COP conferences. Their motto is the standard one: Never mind what I do; just do as I say. This is the reason that Green parties are consistently at or close to the bottom in voter support in national, regional and municipal elections. It’s also the reason that fossil fuel use has continued to rise during the past three decades. Almost everyone ignores the Greens.

Hypocrisy? No, doing without is what peasant scum are to do, not The Elect. His behavior is entirely consistent with that of a green socialist politician.

Now now! These climate change persons are higher beings and it’s a small price to pay for making the deplorables more aware of what’s required with fickle energy-

The world is in crisis, a climate crisis!
No-one would deny ambulances or firefighters access to gasoline in emergencies, Adam is engaged in a far more vital rescue mission, namely saving the planet.

A planet that “survived” 7,000ppm atmospheric CO2 needs to be “saved” from 400-something ppm atmospheric CO2.

“Another green leader outed as a total hypocrite.”

As Don Bongino says: “It’s not about hypocrisy; it’s about hierocracy–they are in power, and you are not.”

The real problem is that people like Bandt have no integrity to start with and he doesn’t know the meaning of the expression to practice what you preach. He is feckless and will continue to be so until someone brings him down a whole lot of peg levels. Then he might face the reality of a real job. One wonders how anyone with a brain could vote for him and that is the bit that needs fixing in society at large. Those people enable him and are as guilty as he is.

It’s a great shame that the Australian public do not see through the hypocrisy of this man . .

Again, not one of the far-leftist trolls comments on these threads.

That implies that they actually CONDONE everything the slimy greens do.

They CONDONE all the far-left corruption… because they are part of it.

You know who you are. !!

Aussies have always sweltered on hot days.

It is part of the NATURAL climate of much of Australia.

Fossil fuels powered air-conditioning have made those really hot days all the more bearable.

Adam and the Greens are your common or garden variety narcissistic twits and struggling is what it’s all about for them in a middle class sort of way. Look at moi look at moi! However that sort of over-emotional self-indulgent behaviour inevitably attracts real pathalogical nutters and psycopaths-

It’s like this Adam. Once unleashed you can’t control the struggle or keep your cushy little number because you’ve become the new establishment that needs to be torn down too by XR Just Stop Oil and now Just Stop Tesla. Anarchy rules with struggling for struggle’s sake which leaves the door wide open for some smart operator to become the Fearless Leader with the one true light and the way. It’s a familiar tale that inters and slaughters millions including you Adam because you’re in the way now Trotsky.

Environmental wing nuts habitually wipe their grimy backsides with their own policy documents. They have as much respect for nature as they do for the rule of law, or the hard work of citizens who built the world that allows the imbeciles to live in comfort. On the plus side Darwin described a world where natures laws rule over everything else and life forms that can’t adapt to reality are doomed to mythology.

Once again, I can’t take the “climate crisis” any more seriously than these people clearly do.

Recently, I’ve started to wonder if these politicians, billionaires and celebrities are really running a massive gaslight operation to purposely sabotage the climate change agenda they otherwise zealously promote. Of course, any genuinely serious effort at eliminating CO2 from the economy would be decimating to their wealth, political power and lifestyles which they obviously would not want to sacrifice. So they transparently participate in this hypocritical behavior that makes it difficult to impossible for any thinking individual to take them and their rhetoric the least bit seriously.

Why? It’s win-win for them. They know that the controversy that they themselves generate with this transparently hypocritical behavior sabotages the agenda so that they won’t ever have to sacrifice their wealth, influence or lifestyles. But they will get to keep their virtue signaling points with their hip peers and the useful idiots who do continue to take them seriously. It’s even better for those who get to profit from the agenda through political power, subsidies or enforced monopolies.

As long as “climate change” remains a religion to a gullible critical mass, the scam will continue and they will continue to be rich, hip & popular without meaningful consequence.
