From Government Oversight & Accounability
By GAO Webadmin,
This document just released by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency takes the cake.

Particularly on the heels of this email from a well-placed (and he wants you to know it!) Washington lawyer to his alma mater, UCLA Law School.

Lobby us with our own money?
Prepare to receive the StRAP or Strap-on.
Are they lobbying us? I think they are just telling us what to do and offering no alternative.
Six Hundred Million Dollars will make a nice little political slush fund.
My God! I thought I only had to fear death and taxes. This language is truly frightening.
Merry Christmas, United States of America. if we can keep it.
A word salad worthy of our most venerated and exhulted
oops — worthy of our VP.
Yeah, but those clowns can turn salad into regulations. Time to defund the EPA.
The United States needs a bureaucracy-cleaning of monumental proportions. They are all out of control, and are working for the benefit of the bureaucracy rather than for the benefit of the American people.
We need to rid ourselves of this leftwing bureaucratic cancer that is destroying our country.
just vote Trump
And all word salads eventually turn into poop,
Immigration? Yes, illegal immigration is a source of extreme environmental degradation but somehow I don’t think the EPA will be following the science on this aspect.
Bring back some of the big US factories from China and place them in friendly countries in Central and South America.
US federal governemnt should choose which foreign country a company should build factories in?
It’s part of the big government that is needed to protect the people from too much freedom. /sarc
Build the wall. Deport all the illigal immigrants who have come across the border during the Biden administration.
That is a campaign promise of Trump’s. I’ll vote for that!
I think even the illegal immigrants see the writing on the wall and are rushing the U.S. border now, while they still have a chance, before Trump gets elected.
The Republican House of Representatives says they are not going to do a budget deal on Israel or Ukraine, until Biden does something about stopping the flow of illegals coming across the border.
Who will blink first? That is the question.
It would be lovely if the Congress got this illegal immigration problem solved before Trump takes office. It will save us the trouble of deporting a couple of extra million illegals that would be coming across over the next year.
Biden is a disaster. The Worst President Evah!!!
Every move he makes damages the United States and the Free World. Look at how he appeases the Mad Mullahs of Iran, which will lead to a bigger war in the Middle East. Biden is a dangerous fool. He is responsible for the death or displacement of literally millions of innocent people during his political career and he’s not done yet with detroying more people’s lives both at home and abroad.
The enemies of the United States are licking their chops at this display of weakness by the American president.
Will Biden retaliate if the Mad Mullahs manage to kill American troops? I honestly can’t say that he would. I think his fraudulent nuclear deal with Iran is more important to him than American lives.
That’s why he won’t touch the Mad Mullahs, because he knows that will blow up the nuclear deal, he and Obama want so bad. So he allows the Mad Mullahs and their proxies to shoot at Americans in the area over 100 times with no credible response, and now the Mad Mullahs are cutting off shipping in the Red Sea.
The Mad Mullahs have an intelligence ship in the Red Sea giving directions to the Houthi terrorists in Yemen about the location of shipping in the area allowing the terrorists to target the vessels. And Biden is doing nothing about it.
The next time the terrorist in Yemen attack a commercial vessel, Biden should sink the Iranian intelligence ship.
If it was me, I would take the opportunity to take out all of the Mad Mullahs nuclear weapons production facilities and all their conventional weapons production facilities. Nip the Big Future Problem, the Mad Mullahs with nuclear weapons, in the bud, so to speak.
See what they do after that takes place. it won’t be much because they won’t have much to work with. Besides, if the U.S. were to hit the Mad Mullahs that hard, the Mad Mullahs would no longer be in power because the Iranian people would rise up and throw them out, and hopefully hang them from the highest tree. All they need is support from an American president. They are chomping at the bit to be free of the Mad Mullahs.
not supposed to call them illegal immigrants- supposed to call them a more polite “migrants” as if they migrating from NY to VT
The left calls them “voters”. Biden is importing millions of potential voters into the country in hopes that they will vote for Democrats and keep political power in Democrat hands.
It’s the only rational explanation for his throwing the U.S. borders wide open and not even attempting to stop the flow.
are talking about Democ Rats?
They don´t
“…and generate new evidence to support policy and rule changes…”
There you have it. Science in the service of political aims.
You forgot to put ‘Science’ in quotes.
Good point.
Yes. That struck me also. Generating new evidence …
Exactly! Starting to read the EPA email included in the above article with an open mind and then hitting the phrase “generate new evidence” in its second sentence was, for me, like hitting a brick wall in a car traveling at 60 mph.
I basically, then and there, started reading with a more critical eye toward finding a hidden agenda for the EPA to mention the need to do such . . . and that readily followed.
IMHO, both Wayne Cascio, author of the above email, and Kay Holt, EPA Deputy Director of the Center for Public Health and Environmental Assessment, cc’d on that email, should immediately be terminated from EPA employment . . . the first for the sheer stupidity of making such an admission in a publicly-available document, and the second for not calling for the immediate termination of the first as well as for not issuing a subsequent statement that the EPA does not manufacture “evidence”.
But then again, foolishness and stupidity are deeply ingrained in the EPA.
Sorry. I don’t remember the quote.
But didn’t somebody say something along the lines of, “Even if CAGW isn’t real we have to embrace it as the best way redistribute wealth.”
A couple along those lines.
We’ve got to ride this global warming issue. Even if the theory of global warming is wrong, we will be doing the right thing in terms of economic and environmental policy.” – Timothy Wirth, president of the UN Foundation.
“No matter if the science of global warming is all phony. … climate change provides the greatest opportunity to bring about justice and equality in the world.” – Christine Stewart, former Canadian Minister of the Environment
“But one must say clearly that we redistribute de facto the world’s wealth by climate policy. Obviously, the owners of coal and oil will not be enthusiastic about this. One has to free oneself from the illusion that international climate policy is environmental policy. This has almost nothing to do with environmental policy anymore.”
Ottmar Edenhofer, co-chair of the U.N. IPCC Nov 13th, 2010
somebody should compile a list of such quotes- there must be more and maybe include quotes from Climategate
Here’s another I found in “Unsettled” by Stephen Koonin.

Excellent! Thanks! I’ve made a few forestry YouTube videos – I’ll read all these in another video.
Just watched that video. I’ve seen his name- but I think he’s not well known to Americans- so this is the first time I’ve seen this nut job. It’s one thing to think crazy shit like this when a college freshman, then you grow up.
Monbiot ====> Moonbat
oh, of course- French for moonbat- shoulda thought of that 🙂

Added to my list Thanks (-:
awesome- I’m going to get as many as possible, then make a video where I read them with as much sarcasm and satire as I can muster
You may have to do it in several takes. I don’t believe the body can handle that much sarcasm in a single sitting.
The government is becoming a real problem, whole departments need to be eliminated. They have outlived their usefulness if they were in fact ever useful.
That’s what Milei is intending to do in Argentina.
exactly I am argentinian and live in Argentina, , follow him and vote Trump lets MAGA again
If racism is systemic, what is the system? If it is going to be eliminated every pertinent detail of the system must be identified, analyzed and changed or discontinued. Evidently the EPA must have some idea of the most important details in order to direct the efforts of their attorneys. Could the rest of us know them as well? But wait, they can’t be very obvious or no generation of new evidence would be necessary. Perhaps the system itself, in its entirety, is racist. If this is so, it’s a problem that’s bigger than the EPA or any other government agency.
“If racism is systemic, what is the system?”
Mankind and sin.
Doesn’t matter what artificial divisions are devised. One group will always seek to dominate or eliminate another.
The god of this world (age, singular in the text. “Eternity” is plural.) is the maestro. (Luke 4:6, 2Corinthians: 4:4)
But his day’s are numbered.
racism is bad and affirmative action is at least as bad- we have that in the Wokeachusetts state government- where the vast majority of “leaders” of state agencies are women, LGBT and black- not saying they have no qualifications, but they certainly weren’t chosen on a basis of meritocracy
If everything is the system then nothing is the system. (systemic)
Except those who are outside the system. Get a job with the world bank, probably the UN, and various other organizations with international scope and you are officially exempt from virtually all laws, and taxes, of any nation.
“you are officially exempt from virtually all laws, and taxes, of any nation”
That pretty much defines members of the US and any other government on the planet.
😎
Even anarchy is a system.
I think it is hard for us to fathom the mindset of these people. The entire government, academic ,NGO, climate industry, woke industrial complex is made up of snow flakes . They have no idea or conception of how wealth ( meaning an increase standard of living ) is created. They can’t conceive of the money ever “ running out” because they do not understand that money has to represent value, work product, an increased efficiency creation – or it is worthless.
This is the difference between the world “ they “ live in and the world a business owner lives in that actually creates and delivers a needed product or service: In the last couple of months I have noticed many small contractors like myself ( home repair, landscape, etc) doing jobs at essentially cost just trying to meet payroll. Despite the fact that a lot of the materials cost have gone up. This is the service sector starting to run out of steam.
How do you go broke? Slowly at first then suddenly. Probably true for nations too, just takes a little longer.
The mindset is easy to understand. It’s all about money and best of all, it’s money for doing something good and important without getting dirty or exhausted. These zealots go to sleep at night with an smile on their face and wake up the same way. If they fill in the right blanks and check the right boxes they advance a “career” in saving the planet. Nothing so banal and mundane as being a barrista or marketing flunky. They get to associate with others like themselves. In fact the whole ecology movement is a big mating mechanism, similar to DC where upper level bureaucrats, journalists and academics regularly attend each other’s weddings. They not going to turn down enpixelated money, after all it’s accepted for mortgage and car payments. Every society has their own version of the Soviet nomenclatura.
This is a good example.
Wow. A whole career spent with her nose in someone’s behind just to get to the next level of uselessness in DC. The “Peter Principle” in full view.
“enpixelated money”
I like that term.
Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron’s cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience. – C.S. Lewis
Much of the social history of the Western world, over the past three decades, has been a history of replacing what worked with what sounded good. – Thomas Sowell, 2011
It took centuries but we worked out the worst kind of lies are the ones told by the rulers, and the only antidote to those is free speech. – Jo Nova
I don’t think anyone should work in government (leadership positions) without having worked at least 10 years in the private sector.
That goes double for elected positions.
now tapping into and opening up a new artery from which the parasite can suck ever more blood and life from its host.
i.e. self-pleasuring themselves at everyone else’s expenses and actually creating the very problem they’re imagining they’re fixing.
Government over-reach and expenditure on this fakery will subsequently spiral out of all control
not dissimilar to many previous and wildly successful ‘wars’..
war on cancer
war on obesity
war on drugs……
and if anyone whispers a word of objection they’ll be instantly found guilty of racism, sexism, planetary destruction, gross stupidity and witchcraft
“the war to end all wars”
And if things could,nt get any worse we now have a military that can’t even do the things it is suppose to do( even if we stopped intervening in crap and giving all the hardware away or leaving it somewhere)
And US Navy has over priced defense systems with limited sustained endurance – terrible weapons evaluation and selection ( for the new drone warfare) Don’t even want to think of our ( US)current ground combat readiness( Israel’s military soldier training discipline really gone down hill) US moral too , I think not good. The intel just keeps coming in even on Christmas Eve and it is not good.
Both the 82nd and 101st Airborne Divisions are spending Christmas in Romania. What’s the significance of that?
The Romanians want their hands held? Maybe they need reassuring hugs from the US military?
I’m not sure I would be reassured by a hug from Biden. He’s not very dependable when it comes to defending U.S. allies. Biden is a runner, not a fighter.
And our enemies know it. That’s why they are pushing their envelopes right now. They think they can get away with their aggression, and so far, they have.
Romania borders Ukraine and Moldova. The troops are a reminder to Russia that Romania is a NATO member, lest they get forgetful.
Dacia was the furthest extent of the Roman Empire. And Romania is the furthest extent of the modern version of the Roman Empire- the American Empire. Not that I have a problem with the American Empire if it’s managed wisely.
I don’t know what’s happening with those divisions- but I bet the entirety of both divisions aren’t going to be in Romania. That would be what- 25K troops? Not likely.

German Brigade to Be Combat Ready in Lithuania, on Russian Border, in 2027
By Reuters
“By Andrius Sytas
VILNIUS (Reuters) -A permanent German brigade of about 4,800 soldiers in Lithuania, on the Russian border, will be combat-ready in 2027, defence ministers of both NATO members said on Monday after signing an agreement on German troops’ first permanent foreign deployment since World War Two.”
end excerpt
It appears that the U.S. and NATO are reinforcing areas in Eastern Europe.
I think there have been some verbal threats from Russia and some of its allies in recent days about possibly attacking some of these nations.
So U.S. and NATO actions in the area are meant to deter such reckless behavior.
Putin has his hands full in Ukraine so any future invasions in the area will probably be taken by Putin proxies/cronies. But, NATO troops being there may cause them to think twice about doing so.
Israel’s intelligence services certainly failed bigly.
Yes, they did. They got complacent.
Maybe not. The Israelis face the unacceptable prospect of becoming a minority in their own country. The goal of Hamas wasn’t to push the Israelis into the Mediterranean, it was to provoke a response of such magnitude that world-wide outrage would result. In this they succeeded. The Israelis, and their allies, were willing face the outrage if it meant eliminating Hamas. They also want to demonstrate to the Gazans that the responsibility for this nakba is on Hamas. The death and destruction are something planned by them. Arab leadership continues to use their cousins in Gaza and the West Bank as hostages in a cultural and religious war of Islam against the west. Even if the Israelis succeed, the Arabs will continue their efforts in the rest of Dar Al-Harb, where they already have large numbers of troops stationed.
The Mad Mullahs of Iran are the problem.
The Arab nations which are not controlled by the Mad Mullahs are willing to live peacefully beside Israel, including Saudi Arabia.
The Persian Mad Mullahs and affiliated Arab terrorist groups are the ones stirring up the trouble.
Knock out the Mad Mullahs and peace will ensue. And I think that is going to happen because the Mad Mullahs think Biden is too weak and will push their envelope, but the Mad Mullahs will inevitably push things too far and then there will be a war between the U.S. and the Mad Mullahs despite Biden’s cowarice under fire. If you kill American troops, Biden won’t be able to hold back the response.
And if you are going to hit the Mad Mullahs, you must hit them hard. Hard enough to knock them out. Pinpricks will not be sufficient. So far, all Biden has to offer are pinpricks.
Biden and his administration are the worst possible people to be presiding over these problems. They are part of the problem, not the solution.
“generate evidence to support policy” ????
Makes more sense to get evidence, then develop policy.
Not with the current administration it doesn’t. Witness all the “lawfare” cases being pushed through the courts and various agencies. No legal grounds for any their crap, according to the Constitution, does not matter to these current batch of bureaucrats. Power is what they want and any means justifies that goal. Absolute power, almost there.
“…generate new evidence…” Uh?
In the first email, Cascio writes in the 2nd sentence of the1st paragraph about summarizing “…existing evidence and generating new evidence….” This coming from a lawyer?
a liar
It’s lengthy but worth the effort on the current tensions within a fuzzy field of scientific enquiry-
5 Forbidden Topics That Psychology Won’t Discuss – Dr Cory Clark | Modern Wisdom 665 (youtube.com)
The Marxists have slowly infiltrated our government and taken control through the lower courts and various non elected agencies that have been given almost law making responsibilities. It is past time to put a stop to this subterfuge.
Defund. Everything.
This is what the EPA says about Environmental Justice …
https://www.epa.gov/environmentaljustice
When the govt steps up and lets the 85% of the country that is darker than me know that (the lack of) ‘vitamin’ D is one of the most important drivers with respect to COVID impact, I might start to think that their policies are about the common good.
And, as rather silly example, when the govt steps up to creates the same cancer protection for me, from the suns uv, that the 20,000,000 million recent immigrants have, I’ll think that maybe, just maybe, their statements are about equity (not that equity should in any be a goal of govt) and not about hanging on to, or gleaning new, ignorant voters are valid.
… and not about hanging on to, or gleaning new, ignorant voters..
In the past it seems unlikely that anyone had mentioned that human activity had the ability to affect the world’s climate or was, in fact, doing so. But, at some point that theory was advanced. By whom? We know about Newton and gravity, Pasteur and bacteria, Jenner and smallpox. Who is the discoverer of AGW and when did he or she reveal this cosmic truth? What were the circumstances of the discovery? Was that person a Newton, a Velikovski or a T. Lobsang Rampa?
I’m trying to find a comparative time in history to what we are going through right now( recent) . Maybe the period from late 19th century through ww1 and a bit after. Rapid technological change new weapons systems “ migration” .Except The US was in its ascendency and now we are in decline economically so that doesn’t work. So then I’m all the way back to the rise and fall of the Roman Empire. May you live in interesting times? No thanks.
And there is another similarity to the Roman Empire and the US and the West broadly- missteps in the management of relations- both the US and Israel seem to be failing in the “ winning of hearts and minds” terribly. A lot of countries populations now hate us.
People are fickle . Everyone wants to bash us now but still are willing to do anything to come here.
You are looking too far back. Try 1931-1945, especially Germany.
This is the way “science” is now done in progressive circles. A “researcher” wakes up having wet the bed with a dream about an alternate reality and their role in driving it forward. Having cleaned up their bed, if not their intellect, they immediately set out to find any scrap of circumstantial evidence that would help promote their “vision” to those who are foolish in enough to pour money into it without regard for value.
Fortunately the truth remains the truth, science remains an objective process of discovery protected from idiots like this when practiced properly and Nature scoffs at those who ignore these facts.
Leftism in general subsumes everything.
The EPA has got to go.
