‘Real Teeth Behind It’: Fox Guest Says GOP Senators Have Been Silent On Possible Biden Climate Emergency Declaration

By HAROLD HUTCHISON

A guest on Fox News said that Republicans in the Senate have not reacted to the threat of a “climate emergency” declaration from President Joe Biden.

Biden administration officials considered a “climate emergency” initiative in July 2022, according to emails released following a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request from Energy Policy Advocates. Left-wing Democrats called on Biden to declare a “climate emergency” in June, citing wildfires in Canada that caused smoke to drift into the eastern United States, Bloomberg News reported(RELATED: ‘Electric Cars Are Losing Us Money’: UAW Member Slams Biden’s Push For EVs)

WATCH:

“If I was a senator, I would be burning the place down making the point that the Biden administration is trying to destroy this country through climate policy, but Republicans don’t seem to be too exercised about it,” Steve Milloy of JunkScience.com told Fox News host Laura Ingraham.

Biden cancelled oil leases in Alaska granted late in the Trump administration, according to CBS, while proposing new regulations to limit energy production. Biden considered declaring a climate emergency in 2022, but did not do so.

“The most significant thing was the message of all the protesters in the streets of New York City urging Joe Biden to declare a national climate emergency. Now, that just sounds like a slogan, but there is real teeth behind it,” Marc Morano told Ingraham. “The Covid emergency declaration made the climate activists jealous. We had a Teen Vogue activist, Jamie Margolis say, if we can shut down the world for a virus we can do the same thing for climate. That’s exactly what they want to do.”

“The Center for Biological Diversity has estimated that Joe Biden will get 130 new executive powers by which to bypass democracy if this climate emergency declaration goes through,” Morano continued. “They will be able to literally have no vote in Congress to impose this agenda on us, just like Covid.”

Marc Morano Says RFK Jr. Has the Best Answer on Climate Change Among Presidential Candidates

Transcript

INGRAHAM: “Shouldn’t whoever the nominee is going to be — it might be Trump, it probably will be Trump at this point, could be DeSantis or maybe someone else — this should be front and center every single day. ‘I’m going to get gas down to about — by the time I’m done, it’s going to be $2.25 a gallon again.’ Yes? Isn’t that a winner issue?”
MORANO: “Just run on the fact that we’re not going to ban gas-powered cars. No one voted for it. It’s not going to happen. You tell the automakers that and you tell the consumers.”

INGRAHAM: “They’re killing the UAW. The EVs are killing the UAW, they’re killing the auto industry.”

MORANO: “And corporate banks are now saying they won’t give car loans to people who buy gas-powered cars. The World Bank isn’t going to allow financing at the automaker level, according to Nicholas Stern. This is the world which we face and the Republicans need to get their game up and fight this.”

MILLOY: “So we’ll see, you know, next week at the debate, whether any Republicans are going to be serious about this. You know, at the last debate Vivek had good answers, DeSantis had good answers. But after that, it just all kind of goes into —

INGRAHAM: “ — generalities. Just like cliches and generalities. We’ve got to get specific on this.”

MORANO: “I’ll tell you who has the best answers. RFK Jr. He actually says — forget anything else you know about him — he says, ‘I won’t talk about climate change because it’s been hijacked by the World Economic Forum and the U.N. for totalitarian control of society.’”

INGRAHAM: “As long as we’re making China rich, don’t tell me me we are fighting climate change. I mean, they’re not serious about any of that. Great to see both of you. Thank you so much.”

MORANO: “Thank you.”

Unfortunately RFKJr has also said he will ban fracking. Maybe he won’t talk about climate change, but with policies like that he doesn’t need to.

So far, nothing has been said about where the money is going to come from. No funding bills for this have passed Congress. Does the President have a slush fund large enough to run the operation?

Reply to  Clyde Spencer

Biden does not have a slush fund, but may be able to free up money from the EPA or whoever is going to handle this group, to fund them. Federal agencies have some discretion on how they spend their money, unless Congress specifically prevents them from funding a particular project.

And I’m sure there are plenty of leftwing billionaires who are eager to fund such a move.

Never, ever trust a Socialist. Even a smooth talking one with the Kennedy name.

Far too many people were seduced by the twinkling smile and charming persona of Tony Blair. He utterly wrecked our effing country, as well as Iraq. He should be tried along with Bush Jr. as a war criminal but instead, he’s meddling in our politics again pulling the strings of ‘Sir’ Kier Starmer, much like Obummer is pulling old Joe’s strings.

Politicians never pay a price for their grandstanding politics. That has to stop.

If all he did was ban fracking, that would be a good start, assuming he strips away all the other growth restricting regulations and dumps NetZero.

As a Brit, I have no dog in the US political fight, but we are suffering the same nonsense here.

And don’t believe Sunak either. Lifting of the ICE ban until 2023 was showboating. EV subsidies are gone. People really objected to those. Instead he’s punishing car makers at £15,000 a car sold over a minimum EV quota. That now stands at 22% EV’s sold, by 2030 it will be 80% of EV’s sold.

All politicians have in the UK now is stick, and no carrot.

And when the tumbleweed finally drifts over NetZero, and these insane schemes are dropped, prices will not come down again, It will be a bonanza for car manufacturers, assuming there’s any left on the European continent.

Read the RFK Jr bio in Wikipedia.
It details how this guy has spent his life doing more than perhaps any other single person to ban fossil fuels and raise prices consumers pay for everything.
He is responsible New York banning fracking, despite having on the of the largest nat resources in the world. He was behind getting nat gas banned in new construction in NYC and Boston and who knows where else.
He claimed at one time to be in favor of nat gas, but then changed his mind and worked to have it banned.
He is for renewables, unless they are building turbines offshore of where he lives. Yup, he had the offshore wind farm near Martha’s Vinyard cancelled.
Glad he did, but his motives were purely selfish, since he has pushed this same source of power as the replacement for fossil fuels.
He has worked to close nuke plants.
He was behind the bullshit ruling against Monsanto which forced them to sell out to a German company.
Yes, he sounds reasonable and persuasive, which is probably how he gets judges and juries to rule against facts, logic, common sense, and the interests of every consumer in the country.

He is a lying snake
Do what I did…see what he has done in the past 30 years, not what he is saying recently.

“No one voted for climate idiocy and the neutered GOP is letting us down by doing nothing to oppose Biden on it.”

There’s never a vote on something as significant as how we’re going to live our lives. This is a representative government, not the mythical “democracy” that’s always on people’s lips. And Biden? The dementia victim is now acting that part so well that there’s virtually no chance he will be the candidate in the next faux election. In fact, the power-elite is making every effort to demonstrate to the public that he is becoming more and more unacceptable. The question is who will be the next marionette for special interests?

The real issue is what elite group will emerge from the current mess as the most effective leadership, in terms of implementing their will. There are four candidates: the legal industry, government bureaucracy, academia and the media. The legalists have a leg up because they’ve infiltrated the others to the extent that the bureaucracy and secular levites are basically the same people. The media works with them to insure cheap source material. Media covers government extensively because the input is provided for free. Academia’s power is underrated and growing because they in a large part determine the issues. The theories advanced by economists, foreign policy experts, sociologists, psychiatrists, etc. set the tone for the arguments of the day and decide their importance. Without the research universities no one would be discussing climate change.

His bio in wikipedia details that your suspicions are right on the money.
I was shocked to read about all of the crap this guy was behind, from getting fracking banned in New York forever…oh hell, just read it.
It makes me sick to even think about detailing all the harm this guy has done.

He has done some good, making polluters clean up pollution, but he considers everything pollution it seems:
Oil, gas, and pipelinesKennedy has been an advocate for a global transition away from fossil fuels toward renewable energy.[113][114] He has been particularly critical of the oil industry. In one of his first environmental cases, Kennedy filed a lawsuit against Mobil Oil for polluting the Hudson.[30]
Kennedy helped lead the battle against fracking in New York State.[115] He had been an early supporter of natural gas as viable bridge fuel to renewables, and a cleaner alternative to coal.[116] However, he said he turned against this controversial extraction method after investigating its cost to public health, climate and road infrastructure.[117] As a member of Governor Andrew Cuomo‘s fracking commission, Kennedy helped engineer the Governor’s 2013 ban on fracking in New York State.[118]
Kennedy mounted a national effort against the construction of liquefied natural gas facilities.[119] Waterkeepers maintains a national watch that documents numerous crude oil spills annually.
In 2013, Kennedy assisted the Chipewyan First Nation and the Beaver Lake Cree fighting to protect their land from tar sands production.[120] In February 2013, while protesting the Keystone XL Pipeline Kennedy, along with his son, Conor, was arrested for blocking a thoroughfare in front of the White House during a protest.[121] In August 2016, Kennedy and Waterkeeper participated in protests to block the extension of the Dakota Access pipeline across the Sioux Indian Standing Rock Reservation‘s water supply.[122]
Kennedy claims that the only reason the oil industry is able to remain competitive against renewables and electric cars is through massive direct and indirect subsidies and political interventions on behalf of the oil industry. In a June 2017 interview on EnviroNews, Kennedy said about the oil industry, “That’s what their strategy is: build as many miles of pipeline as possible. And what the industry is trying to do is to increase that level of infrastructure investment so our country won’t be able to walk away from it.[123]
CoalUnder Kennedy’s leadership, Waterkeeper launched its “Clean Coal is a Deadly Lie”[124] campaign in 2001, bringing dozens of lawsuits targeting mining practices, which include mountaintop removal,[125] slurry pond construction, and targeting mercury emissions and coal ash piles by coal-burning utilities.[126] Kennedy’s Waterkeeper alliance has also been leading the fight against coal export, including from terminals in the Pacific Northwest.[127]
Kennedy has promoted replacing coal energy with renewable energy, which, he argues, would thereby reduce costs and greenhouse gases while improving air and water quality, the health of the citizens, and the number and quality of jobs.[128] In June 2011, film producer Bill Haney televised his award-winning film The Last Mountain, co-written by Haney and Peter Rhodes, depicting Kennedy’s fight to stop Appalachian mountaintop removal mining.[129]
Nuclear powerKennedy has been an opponent of conventional nuclear power, arguing that it is unsafe and not economically competitive.[130][131] On June 15, 1981, he made international news when he spoke at an anti-nuclear rally at the Hollywood Bowl, with Stephen StillsBonnie Raitt and Jackson Browne.[132]
His thirty-four-year battle to close Indian Point nuclear power plant in New York ended when Entergy, the plant’s operator, closed the plant in 2021.[133] Kennedy was featured in a 2004 documentary, Indian Point: Imagining the Unimaginable, directed by his sister, documentary filmmaker Rory Kennedy.[134]
HydroIn 1991, Kennedy helped lead a campaign to block Hydro-Québec from building the James Bay Hydro-project, a massive dam project in northern Quebec.[135]
His campaigns helped block dams on Chile’s Biobío River in 1990[136] and its Futaleufú River in 2016. In 2002, he mounted what was ultimately an unsuccessful battle against building a dam on Belize‘s Macal River. Kennedy termed the Chalillo Dam “a boondoggle”, and brought a high-profile legal challenge against Fortis Inc., a Canadian power company and the monopoly owner of Belize’s electric utility.[137] In a 3–2 ruling in 2003, the Privy Council of the United Kingdom upheld the Belizean government’s decision to permit dam construction.[137][138][139]
In 2004, Kennedy met with Provincial officials and brought foreign media and political visitors to Canada to protest the building of hydroelectric dams on Quebec’s Magpie River.[140] Hydro-Québec dropped plans for the dam in 2017.[141]
In November 2017, the Spanish hydroelectric syndicate Endesa decided to abandon HydroAysen, a massive project to construct dams on dozens of Patagonia‘s rivers accompanied by thousands of miles of roads, power lines and other infrastructure. Endesa returned its water rights to the Chilean government. The Chilean press credits advocacy by Kennedy and Riverkeeper as critical factors in the company’s decision.[142]
Cape WindMain article: Cape Wind
In 2005, Kennedy clashed with national environmental groups over his opposition to the Cape Wind Project, a proposed offshore wind farm off of the coast of Cape Cod in Nantucket Sound. Taking the side of Cape Cod’s commercial fishing industry, Kennedy argued that the project was a costly boondoggle. This position angered some environmentalists, and brought Kennedy criticism by commentators such as Rush Limbaugh and John Stossel, the latter of which described him as a hypocrite.[143][better source needed] Kennedy argued in an opinion piece in The Wall Street Journal, “Vermont wants to take its nuclear plant off line and replace it with clean, green power from Hydro-Québec – power available to Massachusetts utilities – at a cost of six cents per kilowatt hour (kwh). Cape Wind electricity, by a conservative estimate and based on figures they filed with the state, comes in at 25 cents per kwh.”[144]

Note how he is an expert at talking out of both sides of his mouth.
He argued in court and won, when he fought the wind turbines off Martha’s Vinyard.
That’s fine and dandy, but he did it by arguing it was cheaper to use hydro power from Quebec.
Meanwhile, he has worked to prevent Quebec from building any new hydro power dams.

Just a taste of how shamelss he is.
But he is effective.
Now, do we want someone who is extremely effective and just happens to be opposed to every form of power and energy we have?

Why has the public bought into the current rhetoric “lock, stock, and barrel” to STOP THE USE OF FOSSIL FUELS, which simulates the resurrection of the 1978 mass murder-suicide of religious cult members of the Peoples Temple, led by Jim Jones, Jonestown, Guyana?
In September 2023 , 45 years after the Jim Jones tragedy in Jonestown, President Biden used his executive power to establish the American Climate Corps, which will employ and train 20,000 young people in the work of climate resilience without fossil fuels.

When I watch the TV coverage of protesters, both politicians and teenagers, carrying signs to STOP THE USE OF FOSSIL FUELS, what I SEE on those posters is:

RID THE WORLD OF AIRPORTS, JETS, SHIPS, SPACE PROGRAMS, AND STOP SOCIAL MEDIA, AND THE PRODUCTION OF CELLPHONES, COMPUTERS, and PORCELAIN TOILETS that are dependent on the derivatives manufactured from crude oil!!

As John Stossel so often said, “give-me-a-break”!
