A guest on Fox News said that Republicans in the Senate have not reacted to the threat of a “climate emergency” declaration from President Joe Biden.
Biden administration officials considered a “climate emergency” initiative in July 2022, according to emails released following a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request from Energy Policy Advocates. Left-wing Democrats called on Biden to declare a “climate emergency” in June, citing wildfires in Canada that caused smoke to drift into the eastern United States, Bloomberg News reported. “If I was a senator, I would be burning the place down making the point that the Biden administration is trying to destroy this country through climate policy, but Republicans don’t seem to be too exercised about it,” Steve Milloy of JunkScience.com told Fox News host Laura Ingraham.
Biden cancelled oil leases in Alaska granted late in the Trump administration, according to CBS, while proposing new regulations to limit energy production. Biden considered declaring a climate emergency in 2022, but did not do so.
“The most significant thing was the message of all the protesters in the streets of New York City urging Joe Biden to declare a national climate emergency. Now, that just sounds like a slogan, but there is real teeth behind it,” Marc Morano told Ingraham. “The Covid emergency declaration made the climate activists jealous. We had a Teen Vogue activist, Jamie Margolis say, if we can shut down the world for a virus we can do the same thing for climate. That’s exactly what they want to do.”
“The Center for Biological Diversity has estimated that Joe Biden will get 130 new executive powers by which to bypass democracy if this climate emergency declaration goes through,” Morano continued. “They will be able to literally have no vote in Congress to impose this agenda on us, just like Covid.”

Unfortunately RFKJr has also said he will ban fracking. Maybe he won’t talk about climate change, but with policies like that he doesn’t need to.
Still, he’s the best of the worst.
You may be right about that. I do sort of like him, especially compared to the competition. And were he to be elected, he may find, like they all do, that what sounded like a reasonable policy in theory is just not workable in practice.
Or he may find that the guys who decide who can join the team also decide what the team supports. Even if you have a name.

So far, nothing has been said about where the money is going to come from. No funding bills for this have passed Congress. Does the President have a slush fund large enough to run the operation?
Biden does not have a slush fund, but may be able to free up money from the EPA or whoever is going to handle this group, to fund them. Federal agencies have some discretion on how they spend their money, unless Congress specifically prevents them from funding a particular project.
And I’m sure there are plenty of leftwing billionaires who are eager to fund such a move.

It details how this guy has spent his life doing more than perhaps any other single person to ban fossil fuels and raise prices consumers pay for everything.
He is responsible New York banning fracking, despite having on the of the largest nat resources in the world. He was behind getting nat gas banned in new construction in NYC and Boston and who knows where else.
He claimed at one time to be in favor of nat gas, but then changed his mind and worked to have it banned.
He is for renewables, unless they are building turbines offshore of where he lives. Yup, he had the offshore wind farm near Martha’s Vinyard cancelled.
Glad he did, but his motives were purely selfish, since he has pushed this same source of power as the replacement for fossil fuels.
He has worked to close nuke plants.
He was behind the bullshit ruling against Monsanto which forced them to sell out to a German company.

There’s never a vote on something as significant as how we’re going to live our lives. This is a representative government, not the mythical “democracy” that’s always on people’s lips. And Biden? The dementia victim is now acting that part so well that there’s virtually no chance he will be the candidate in the next faux election. In fact, the power-elite is making every effort to demonstrate to the public that he is becoming more and more unacceptable. The question is who will be the next marionette for special interests?
The real issue is what elite group will emerge from the current mess as the most effective leadership, in terms of implementing their will. There are four candidates: the legal industry, government bureaucracy, academia and the media. The legalists have a leg up because they’ve infiltrated the others to the extent that the bureaucracy and secular levites are basically the same people. The media works with them to insure cheap source material. Media covers government extensively because the input is provided for free. Academia’s power is underrated and growing because they in a large part determine the issues. The theories advanced by economists, foreign policy experts, sociologists, psychiatrists, etc. set the tone for the arguments of the day and decide their importance. Without the research universities no one would be discussing climate change.

In November 2017, the Spanish hydroelectric syndicate Endesa decided to abandon HydroAysen, a massive project to construct dams on dozens of Patagonia‘s rivers accompanied by thousands of miles of roads, power lines and other infrastructure. Endesa returned its water rights to the Chilean government. The Chilean press credits advocacy by Kennedy and Riverkeeper as critical factors in the company’s decision.[142]

I remain skeptical on RFK Jr and his climate change beliefs. He’s right about the movement being hijacked and he does not support nuclear. RFK Jr is usually on the left side of things and I don’t see him as a supporter of fossil fuels.
