Last week, Climate Change Roundtable discussed, “The failure of peer review: Climate is Beholden to Bullying and Bad Decisions.” That episode dealt with the bullying of a journal to remove a paper.
This week we look at another incident: The use of FOI requests by NASA’s Dr. Gavin Schmidt to look into correspondence between authors, editors, and collaborators for for another paper they don’t like, of which Dr. Willie Soon was the lead author.
Join our host, Anthony Watts, and weekly panelists, Dr. Sterling Burnett and Linnea Lueken, and Dr. Willie Soon as will delve into the fight between the dark Climate Empire and the Climate Rebellion over the right to publish, or perish at the hands of the Climate Empire. Tune in LIVE for Climate Change Roundtable at Noon CT/1PM ET this Friday to engage in this enlightening discussion. Don’t forget to leave your questions to have them answered live during the show! Tune in to share your thoughts and be a part of this pivotal conversation.

China Says Fossil Fuel Phase-Out Is UnrealisticBy Tsvetana Paraskova – Sep 22, 2023
“It is unrealistic to completely phase out fossil fuel energy,” Xie, who will represent China at COP28 in Dubai in November, told ambassadors in Beijing ahead of the climate summit.
But will he say that at COP28? I think what he really means is “it’s unrealistic to phase out fossil fuel energy – and China’s not gonna do it- and if you don’t like it- that’s your problem not ours”.
Getting the solar forcing of the AMO & Arctic temperature cycle backwards, is the biggest error one can make in modeling the solar influence on climate change. And it is easy to logically reject, as warmer AMO & Arctic states are negative NAO/AO driven, while higher solar forcing would be associated with positive NAO/AO conditions and regimes. The colder AMO phases are when the solar wind wind is stronger, which is why the AMO is always warmer during centennial solar minima.
And there is something wrong with Willie Soon’s Arctic temperature chart in the late 1800’s, the AMO was warmer then, and cooled into the early 1900’s.
