“The Climate change agenda is a HOAX” — Truth bomb from @VivekGRamaswamy at the Republican primary debate. pic.twitter.com/EHdWomojEa— Mythinformed (@MythinformedMKE) August 24, 2023
Business entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy said on the debate stage of the first GOP primary debate Wednesday night that the climate change agenda is a hoax.
“I’m the only person on the stage who is not bought and paid for,” Ramaswamy said. “So I can say this. The climate change agenda is a hoax.”
This resulted in a round of boos from the audience.
“The reality is the anti-carbon agenda is the wet blanket on our economy. And so the reality is more people are dying of bad climate change policies than they are of actual climate change,” he continued.
Other candidates such as former Vice President Mike Pence and former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley then interjected, resulting in multiple people speaking over each other.
Haley said that climate change is real, but other countries such as China need to be held accountable for their contributions for it.
Yup, Fox News aired complete fake news with question from kid stating that climate change is the number one issue for young voters.
Here’s data… Even for “Gen Z/Millenials,” only the 8% say climate change is top issue.
30% still say its the economy. pic.twitter.com/Ie9xcifSqv— Brent Scher (@BrentScher) August 24, 2023
If stating the truth elicited boos from the audience then the audience deserves the consequences of being on the losing side of the hoax.
That is an interesting concept in politics, actually telling the truth! It will be interesting to see if the other candidates follow or not. I rather suspect that the whole election of the President could balance on this question as many, many Americans (and us Brits) are sick of the whole climate business, particulary the huge costs. Interesting!
The candidates will have to be diplomatic in their public responses about climate. As satisfying as it is to call the climate hoax by name, it just divides the audience. Ramaswamy will have to be a better debater.
There are differences between “hoax”, “fraud” “con” and “delusion”. Although each is an accurate description of CAGW, the candidates who use these terms in public debate will lose voter approval. Better to provide irrefutable facts and sources.
Piltdown Man is usually called a “hoax”. It was the deliberate “seeding” of false “evidence” of a “missing link” at a time when evolution was still being debated. It garnered massive press and attention in the scientific world. The parallels between Charles Dawson and Michael Mann are numerous. Neither, for example, expected to have to show their evidence. Both hoaxes have had a long life, Dawson’s over 40 years, Mann’s… still counting. But a difference is that Mann’s concatenation of data from multiple sources enlisted his peers in the deception. It may initially have been an instrument for Mann’s recognition and status, but the ploy solidified immediate support among the researchers whose data was used, and it soon fostered thousands of copycat warmists who found they could advance their careers, status and recognition among peers.
There was and is no runaway global warming. This can be shown. Proof that climate scientists knew this even as they published their fraudulent claims are in the plethora of captured emails of the most prestigious members of the group. Kevin Trenberth, for example, lamented that, “The fact is that we can’t account for the lack of warming at the moment and it is a travesty that we can’t.” He never meant for that statement to be anything but an aside at the water cooler.
But for the last 30 years climate scientists found lucrative jobs and research grants, opportunities to publish and careers in what may initially had been an institutional con game with multiple players benefitting. Environmental science classes at colleges swelled and climate science became a career.
The idea that unprecedented heat (or cold, or storms, or ocean levels) were to be feared – this could be used to gain power over governments. Thousands of people – the voting public – were moved by the arguments of “science”. And so CAGW’s central symbol became a vehicle for defrauding the public and the world of trillions of dollars.
Renewables and their platform of CAGW fears were never meant to fix pollution. They cause nearly as much as they create. From a mere “hoax”, it morphed into a religion devoted to social change, personal salvation, spiritual enlightenment and the elevation of the elect. A massive delusion fueling industries, hereticating deniers and profiting its purveyors.
Maybe these are distinctions without a difference as far as politicians are concerned: hoax, fraud, con, delusion, religion. The candidates for president will be baited to say what they think. If they use any of these terms, they will be booed. But if they cannot articulate a plan for bringing the deluded back down to earth they deserve booing.

He is a freak.
Too many of Ramaswamy’s generation were exposed to Man-Made-Catastrophic Global Warming dogma in the schools. It is just ‘well known’ that it is true … to them. The question they ask is not if mankind is in charge of the climate, but what to do about our undoubted ongoing rape of Gaia.
One of the most painful operations is getting the eyes opened.
