Climate Activist Hypocrisy Example Eleventy Gazillion

Just Stop Oil Protestor Who Pulled ‘Hay Wain’ Painting Stunt Has Racked Up 50,000 Air Miles on Exotic Holidays

From the Daily Mail

It’s a funny story:

Student Hannah Hunt, 23, is the co-founder of Just Stop Oil whose social media pages are adorned with exotic holiday pictures from locations including Bali, Australia and the Canary Islands.

The aspiring psychologist has contributed to chaos across the country, after she was pictured glueing herself to roads, camping in the rafters of a major oil depot in Essex and today stuck pictures over John Constable’s The Hay Wain in London.

A really good example of rules for me and not for thee.

She and fellow student and musician Eben Lazarus, 22, first plastered over Constable’s masterpiece with pictures portraying an apocalyptic future, before they glued their hands to the frame as security stood on and watched.

The pair were quick to lecture the public on fossil fuels being a ‘death project’ and warning of the ‘total collapse of society’, despite Ms Hunt previously admitting she ‘impulse flew to the Canaries to escape chilly British weather’.

The former XR supporter even used the trips to bolster her environmental credentials, telling social media followers from Bali: ‘Can we look back in another 50 years and say we did everything to protect our pretty cool planet?’

and

The student co-founded Just Stop Oil in February, marching on No 10 to tell Boris Johnson to ‘intervene’ to prevent ‘the ultimate crime against our country, humanity and life on Earth’.

She has become a hero among eco-zealot supporters of the group, which formed as a breakaway of Extinction Rebellion.

Earlier this year she glued herself to the red carpet at the Bafta awards, and she has broken into an ExxonMobil oil refinery in Hampshire.

Hunt and Lazarus were both arrested at around 4.45pm following their eco-vandal stunt earlier today.

Declare her and her organization terrorists , take her passport, and freeze any bank accounts they have. These stunts would stop overnight.

The problem for Hannah Hunt and her eco-disaster portrayal of The Haywain it that if she were just able to get out in the English countryside instead of jetting off to Bali she might discover for herself that, other than the horse and cart, the English countryside looks pretty much the same as when Constable painted the original in 1821.

Apart from the f&ck ugly wind turbines and solar panels despoiling it all now of course.

Step 1: Fire all current “security” guards. Step 2: Hire French security guards. They know how to remove glued protestors and they don’t use solvent.

“… they glued their hands to the frame as security stood on and watched.” What security? Does the museum have a policy against allowing people to vandalize artwork? Has anybody been disciplined over the incident where vandals were allowed to operate freely?

… as security stood on and watched.

The source of the problem.

The Hay Wain was painted in 1821, just as the industrial Revolution was picking up momentum. We have had 200 years of industrialisation and yet the location of this painting does not have a tarmacked river or dead trees or airliners flying overhead only a couple of hundred metres apart. These ignorant zealots are making pointless and destructive demands based on fiction and imagination.

Why did Security just watch? Believe the same crap, or just frightened of being on “the wrong side of history”?

So I guess that if I show up with a placard and tee shirt demanding “End the climate hoax”, and proceed to glue my hand to the frame of a famous painting, the security guards will stand by and watch. Maybe hold the camera for me? Later on I’ll be released I suppose.

Surely British justice is impartial like that?

Depends. How much money do you or your family have?

Is she any relation to John Kerry? Or Al Gore? Or Barry Obama? Or Sandy Cortes? Or … etc. etc. etc.

Great job Hannah!. Now go to St. Petersburg Russia and glue yourself to a priceless painting in the Hermitage Museum.. Russia needs to taught a lesson and I am sure you can win them over!

What is wrong with that museum? (security stood on and watched)?

I don’t know about other countries, but in the US, security is NOT hired to take any action. Their job is to “observe and report” – it’s made very clear that you “observe and report”. It is the job of law enforcement to do anything further.

If this is different in England then please correct me, but in the US, if security contacted law enforcement, they were doing their jobs.

It’s pretty much the same in the UK. Mostly they are there to answer visitors questions and deter them from walking out with the art in their bags. They did contact the Police who, having found out the idiots weren’t going anywhere in a hurry, attended in their own good time.

Why bother? It would only create martyrs for “the cause.”
Public humiliation would work better, massive fines to force them out of their entitled idleness or a ban on them ever holding a passport might also work.
