DiCaprio making a movie in Alberta continues to pontificate about the dramatic temperature change over a 24 hr period claiming it was due to Climate Change. The phenomena is so common, Indigenous have a word for it – Chinook – Which all Albertans use today.

Chinooks and the winds associated can be brutal, I have seen -35 to +10c in 1 hour, and then the associated car accidents due to warm moist air blowing over roads and bridge decks that are 40-50c colder forming a sudden layer of frost where moments earlier was clear dry pavement.
