I once had the privilege to meet Dr. Soon in person. Climate activists hate him, because in person and in his speeches he positively radiates passion and integrity. Dr. Soon’s gift is explaining in detail the failures of climate alarmists to ordinary people, an implacable opponent of those who would ensnare us with hobgoblins and falsehoods.

So, what will opinion of Dr. Soon be when the next 30 or even 20 years does not have global cooling, but merely warming that continues falling short of that projected by most climate models and continues having its shortfall from that predicted by climate models increasing for about the next 20 years? After that, I expect multidecadal oscillations to contribute to a roughly 30 year phase of global temperature warming about as fast as projected by most recent models (including CMIP3 through CMIP6), and cumulative shortfall of global temperature from that predicted by these models to temporarily stop increasing.
I would be heartily relieved, for one. Unlike the current crop of doomsters on WUWT, I do not relish the thought of widespread misery and loss of life caused by temperature or weather changes. I am absolutely sickened and disgusted by people who appear to be rubbing their hands with glee at the thought of global thermageddon just to prove they were right all along. Luckily for us all, Dr Soon has far more understanding and experience in this field than you do. On balance, I would definitely trust his opinion over yours.
The solar prediction will fail, this is a very short centennial solar minimum affecting just cycles 24 and 25.
The globe will be relatively cooler 2035-2065 because of stronger solar wind states increasing La Nina conditions and driving a cold AMO.
The idea that weaker solar leads to a colder AMO is patently backwards.
