Actor Steven Seagal Joins Pro Kremlin Environmental Justice Party

Guest essay by Eric Worrall

h/t BreitbartSteven Seagal is emerging as a clear favourite for most woke Hollywood climate celebrity ever, after joining a Russian pro-Putin left wing environmental activist party, whose leaders include ultra-nationalist Russian paramilitary Zakhar Prilepin. Earlier this month, Seagal while acting as Russia’s representative presented a Samurai sword to Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro.

Hollywood actor Seagal joins pro-Kremlin party, proposes tougher laws

May 31, 2021

Hollywood actor Steven Seagal, a long-time admirer of Russian President Vladimir Putin, has joined a pro-Kremlin party, the the party said on Sunday.

Seagal received a party membership card of an alliance named Just Russia – Patriots – For Truth on Saturday, a video relased by the party showed. It was formed earlier this year, when three leftist parties, all of which support Putin, merged into one.

Seagal, a Russian citizen since 2016, proposed a crackdown on businesses which damage the environment.

“Without being able to arrest people, when we just fine them, they are probably making more money of the production of the things that are defiling the environment,” said in his welcome speech at a party event.

Seagal has some stiff competition; Sean Penn initially stole the lead with his fawning El Chappo interview, though rumours have persisted that El Chappo’s meeting with Penn may have contributed to his capture. But Seagal hanging out with Putin, demanding harsh penalties against businesses which “defile” the environment is going to be a tough act to beat.

I don’t know Putin, but I have realized that I have to be careful of the Western media’s narrative driven journalism. There are a lot of things that don’t get reported.

FINANCIAL TIMES INTERVIEW:

“You really are on the same page as Donald Trump”.

https://youtu.be/FbY0VpyjtuI?t=5070

Which indicates to me, given the complete distorted portrayal of DJT, that Putin recieves the same treatment.

And this is simply and completely WRONG, it is the Russian version of Michael Moore’s Planet of the Humans, where a documentarian follows the story, where ever it leads. And it is as powerful: as Nekrasov is about to wrap up his anti-Putin film, one fact does not make sense. So he pulls on the thread and then original documentary completely implodes and unravels to the point where has to completely recut it (resulting in it getting banned):

A Blacklisted Film and the New Cold War

Why is the U.S. mainstream media so frightened of a documentary that debunks the beloved story of how “lawyer” Sergei Magnitsky uncovered massive Russian government corruption and died as a result?

Instead we – in the land of the free, home of the brave – are protected from seeing this documentary produced by filmmaker Andrei Nekrasov who was known as a fierce critic of Russian President Vladimir Putin but who in this instance found the West’s widely accepted Magnitsky storyline to be a fraud.

But the Magnitsky myth took off in 2012 when Browder sold his tale to neocon Senators Ben Cardin, D-Maryland, and John McCain, R-Arizona, who threw their political weight behind a bipartisan drive in Congress leading to the passage of the Magnitsky sanctions act, the opening shot in the New Cold War.

So, sorry to complicate things, but I think we need to scrutinize everything the way we do climate change. Reality is a lot more complicated than comforting black and white heuristics.

Another hypocrite with a large carbon footprint. He’s gotten to where he has taken in enough calories to now weigh as much as two fit people. Those calories were made with CO2. Then, he jet sets around the world doing unproductive things like bearing gifts for corrupt dictators.

It is, perhaps, a fact provocative of sour mirth that the Bill of Rights was designed trustfully to prohibit forever two of the favorite crimes of all known governments: the seizure of private property without adequate compensation and the invasion of the citizen’s liberty without justifiable cause…It is a fact provocative of mirth yet more sour that the execution of these prohibitions was put into the hands of courts, which is to say, into the hands of lawyers, which is to say, into the hands of men specifically educated to discover legal excuses for dishonest, dishonorable and anti-social acts.
