John Kerry: Climate Inaction is a “Mutual Suicide Pact”

Guest essay by Eric Worrall

He talks – yet nobody acts. Has John Kerry finally noticed that nobody cares what he says about climate change?

‘Mutual suicide’: US issues stark warning on climate change

‘Our heads in the sand at our own peril,’ US envoy for climate warns, as leaders discuss security implications of global warming.

24 Feb 2021

The United States has warned inaction by world powers on climate change is tantamount to a “mutual suicide pact” after countries such as China, India, and Russia expressed scepticism on the global security threat it posed.

“But even though climate change has been repeatedly called ‘an existential threat’, we honestly have yet as a world to respond with the urgency required,” said Kerry.

‘Serious doubts’

Russia, India and China said climate change should be tackled in other global forums, not at the UN’s main grouping on imminent world threats.

We agree that climate change issues can exacerbate conflict. But are they really the root cause of these conflicts? There are serious doubts about this,” said Moscow’s ambassador to the UN, Vassily Nebenzia.

The breathtaking dysfunctionality of what is happening would be funny if it wasn’t so serious.

China and India have real issues to discuss, but all Kerry wants to talk about is climate change.

In 2020, nuclear armed China and India only just averted an all out war, after clashes in the disputed Ladakh Highlands near the Indian border with Chinese Tibet led to military fatalities and lots of heated rhetoric.

Russia is trying to lead an effort to broker a lasting peace accord between China and India.

But the US envoy is not pulling his weight. I suspect that every time the other participants try to talk about possible resolutions for the Chinese / Indian border dispute, Kerry makes outlandish claims about how if they all made greater efforts to reduce CO2 emissions, everyone would be able to live in harmony.

Of course, other countries might show more interest in John Kerry’s climate grandstanding, if Biden passes his two trillion dollar taxpayer cash giveaway.

Kerry’s return is like a zombie from Walking dead , after 10 seasons, nobody is watching any more .

February 24, 2021 12:25 pm

He looks like Vincent Price. Unfortunately for Mr Kerry he’s not entertaining and at least the horror films of Mr Price had reasonably plausible plots unlike the dreadfully predictable and implausible endless remakes of ‘Global Warming’ such as ‘Climate Emergency’.
Here are some more C movies from the same studio:
‘Zombie Science’
‘Zombie Science 2’
‘Return of the Zombie Science’ (etc.)
‘Zombie Science returns again’
‘Fracking Hell’
The Day After Tomorrow’

They have tried comedy also, such as:
‘Cloudy with a chance of Polar Bears’

This John Kerry and his most fearsome weapon of mass destruction stand up routine.

“Climate change is the world’s most fearsome weapon of mass destruction.”

And his climate science and co2 for dummies lessons. So take notice you dumbo deniers.

“This is not tough. This is simple. Kids at the earliest age can understand this.”

“Try and picture a very thin layer of gases – a quarter-inch, half an inch, somewhere in that vicinity – that’s how thick it is. It’s in our atmosphere. It’s way up there at the edge of the atmosphere.”

57 degrees for literally millions of years so pay attention to the great man you climate denying dumbo’s.

“And for millions of years – literally millions of years – we know that layer has acted like a thermal blanket for the planet – trapping the sun’s heat and warming the surface of the Earth to the ideal, life-sustaining temperature. Average temperature of the Earth has been about 57 degrees Fahrenheit, which keeps life going.”

I believe he is taking his gig on tour soon so yall need go see the great man and pay homage, and carbon taxes of course you wild eyed whacko’s

Thanks for that Gary …
(I can’t understand anyone cancelling my ‘+’; mebbe Kerry reads looks at this site)

If questioned, he would just say that the ‘thin layer’ was just an analogy to help people understand. But it would be nice to see him questioned …

“Yes, or No … Mr Kerry, do you still believe that there is a thin atmospheric layer of CO2, way up there at the edge, that warms the earth? And how does this tie in with your qualifications to be climate Czar?”

(It’s like the David Suzuki’s (WRITTEN) statement that global warming is like your car heating up in the sun because of the carbon in the windows. How do they get away with this shit?)

Missouri lawmakers again trying to pull plug on wind energy line

https://www.stltoday.com/news/local/govt-and-politics/missouri-lawmakers-again-trying-to-pull-plug-on-wind-energy-line/article_b2f7f7f5-351e-57d9-8cd4-f810b62f1295.html

The move is the latest in a string of attempts to stop the private company from using eminent domain to take land for the project, which aims to bring Kansas wind energy to Missouri, Illinois and Indiana.

Eminent domain is typically used by governments to take private property for public use. In this case, Invenergy said it needs the power in order to claim land it needs for the towers that will carry the above-ground line….

Green Fascism.

Kery’s nothing but a big climate scarecrow.
If only he had a brain.

February 24, 2021 12:45 pm

First thing Biden should do is sign an executive order banning all private jets. Clearly, emitting tons of CO2 in the upper troposphere because it’s convenient is stupid when the earth is in such danger. Kerry can fly on commercial carriers as easily as anyone else where the carbon footprint is less.

I think he should replace the limo with an EV, re-install the solar panels, install a wind turbine or two, and cut the White House off of the grid. Then all we need are a lot of cloudy, windless days.

The Biden/Kerry comedy show promises to be theater of the absurd. They will overpromise and underdeliver, and then their own climate acolytes will get upset. AOC already is. Makes the 2022 and 2024 elections easier to take back MAGA.

John Kerry has a long history of giving away things to our enemies. In 1972, he started independently negotiating with the Vietcong, behind the back of then-Secretary of State Henry Kissinger.

In 2014, Kerry (as official Secretary of State this time) “negotiated” the nuclear deal with Iran, which involved giving the Iranians billions of dollars in free money for practically nothing in return.

Now he tells us that the world will end in 9 years if the USA doesn’t reduce its CO2 emissions. News flash–the USA has reduced its CO2 emissions over the past four years, but the increase in China’s emissions is much larger. So let’s give away all our energy jobs (and cheap energy) to China, and enrich China at our expense (implies Kerry), and the world’s CO2 emissions continue to rise. Then, 10 years from now China will surpass the US economy, the world has not ended, and President Xi will laugh all the way to the bank selling us solar panels using Chinese rare-earth elements.

How about a different mutual suicide pact: Let Kerry and President Xi play Russian roulette together, to which Xi would probably answer, “You go first”.

It has been reported that Kerry has been actively trying to undermine the Trump policy on the Mad Mullahs of Iran. Kerry has been advising the terrorists to hold out and not negotiated with Trump.

The Obama-Biden “Justice” Department tried to put General Flynn in jail for talking to the Russians before Trump became president, even though it was Flynn’s official job to talk to the Russians.

Now here we have Kerry blatantly undermining U.S. foreign policy, siding with the biggest State sponsor of terror in the world.

Kerry is a traitor to his country. He undermines the US every chance he gets.

When will Kerry be charged with treason? He and Joe make quite a pair. Two traitors running our country.

John Kerry is a simply awful pick to be Biden’s climate czar. Kerry has no qualifications on the science and is unable to string together a complete / coherent sentence.

CO2 is NOT
a Problem

Life on Earth is dependent on two
chemical compounds, H20 and CO2,
and one of them is in short supply

If climate science was settled, the IPCC wouldn’t have to put out
a new report every six or seven years where all the numbers are
changed to make it look like it’s worse than previously thought.

Add oxygen et. al. Until the stromatolites produced enough oxygen the world got along very well on carbon dioxide and nitrogen, but now we humans are on a different path: oxygen and silicon. And as we make more electronics out of silicon the oxygen will be liberated to the atmosphere for all to enjoy. First came the age of plants, then the age of animals and the next age will be silicon-based. And John Kerry or his electronic clone will still be complaining about global warming.

China is laughing with glee as they watch Western Industrialized countries destroy their economies, currencies, and industrial sectors to fight the fictitious CO2 Monster.

China’s electricity costs are now just $0.08/kWh, while the West tries to rapidly emulate Germany’s wind/solar Green Grid at $0.46/kWh…

Moreover, while the West timidly close down their nuclear plants, China is rapidly pursuing next-generation nuclear power technology which is theoretically capable of producing unlimited power at just $0.03/kWh…

At some point, Western countries’ high energy costs, rolling blackouts, over-regulations and high taxes will make their production costs completely uncompetitive, and will be forced to move their production facilities to China—checkmate…

Leftism has completely destroyed the Western Civilization on so many levels…

“Leftism has completely destroyed the Western Civilization on so many levels”

That’s the goal of the Left. They want to tear society down so they can rebuild it the way they want it to operate.

Unfortunately, the Left is collectively delusional and the way they want to operate leads us down the Road to Ruin.

We don’t want to go down that road.

Has Kerry or any of the other high-profile alarmists ever examined international polls listing the chief concerns of residents of a variety of countries? If so, they’d find that climate change inevitably ranks at or near the bottom of people’s priorities and well-behind jobs, the economy, healthcare, education, national security, infrastructure, personal safety and the like. Yet the alarmists try to tell us that we should consider global warming at the top, and it doesn’t help much that the mainstream media is riding the same bandwagon. Trying to find balanced coverage on the issue is almost impossible, especially on the BBC, CBC, CNN, etc.

We’ve all heard pop music with its inane lyrics and quite resistible melodies, but now we have a new pop trend. It’s called pop investing; it’s like watching the Wall Street stock brokers chase each other‘s tails trying to find one that’s a little brighter than their own. This one is the AGW Bond Market, and as long as scientists support this scantimonious hypocrisy the market will grow.

February 24, 2021 5:57 pm

John Kerry is going at it all wrong – instead of browbeating everyone and ignoring his own gigantic carbon footprint, he should park the limos, jets and yachts, live in a little unheated tent, stop shaving and lead large gender-neutral crowds in the singing of “Klimate Kumbaya”.

Nah, even then I would not believe he really meant it.
John is a Green poseur, a propagandist for the neo-Marxist full-Gulag Great Reset:
“You will OWN nothing, you will FEEL nothing, you will BE nothing, and you will be happy!”
Sounds a lot like Jonestown, doesn’t it? It’s NOT a coincidence! Drink the Koolaid! SSDD.

Let’s tell John Kerry to put his nonsense rhetoric on hold for 10 years to see where world temperatures settle. Since Southern California temperatures get colder each winter, I won’t need to put a cover on my pool. We can turn it into the neighborhood skating rink.
I asked my gas company to send me a 10 year average of my fuel usage and they refused. They knew winter temperatures would be going down and my gas usage was going up. Scrambled around through my file drawer to check our usage, and sure enough they were right.

Talking about lecturing:
Discovery Channel from USA recently produced a series of 15 photographic and commentary booklets for Australian school age people. They were sold to buyers of the local newspaper Herald Sun at a few dollars a booklet.
They are out-and-out propaganda.
Here, for example, is the commentary on burning fossil fuels.

Global warming can be directly linked to
BURNING FOSSIL FUELS as the coal, oil or gas
used to create electricity or power our cars
causes carbon pollution. Australia is the number
one exporter of coal and gas, surpassing China
America and India, making it one of the world’s
biggest climate polluters. To address climate
change, in 2016 countries adopted the Paris
Agreement—an agreement within the United
Nations Framework Convention on Climate
Change (UNFCCC) with the aim to limit a global
temperature rise to well below two degrees
Celsius. Australia’s Paris Agreement target is to
Reduce emissions to 26-28 percent on 2005 levels
by 2030. In order to help achieve this, the country
needs to increase its supply and use of renewable
energy sources, such as solar power and wind,
and to take a stronger stance on climate change issues.

While Australia passed Indonesia only last year to be number 1 exporter of liquid natural gas and is number one for coal, these are only two measures of Australia’s energy scene. They leave out oil, for example. Other countries are well ahead in other forms of fossil fuel exports, but more importantly, in use.
The total CO2 emissions in China in 2019 were 30.3% of world total. USA, lecturing Australia here, was 13.4%. Australia was 1.1% of world total, behind even international aviation at 1.6%. These are the figures that matter for school children to read. They can see that anything done by Australia will have little effect on global CO2 levels.  Geoff S
