Icelandair flies directly to Keflavik International from JFK and Newark. JetBlue also has nonstop service from Logan, in case the Heinz-Kerrys still maintain a residence in Boston.

The hypocrites used to own a charter flight company, and still have at least one long-range private plane.

Small tribal communities could certainly use less costly energy production, instead of diesel fueled electricity generators and furnaces. Does anyone know of small nuclear sources, such as thermo-electric generation from radioactive decay?

Very small ones exist, including in space craft. Radioisotope thermoelectric generator – Wikipedia.

Apparently the method has very low efficiency, but it seems to me that is not a big barrier as the nuclear source is of low cost. ??

Generating steam to drive a turbine may be much more efficient but that has moving parts.

Back in the Obama administration, an administration droid asserted that it does. Now understand that in those days, the God King Obama could do no wrong. So that ever since it is well known that carbon dioxide now causes asthma. This is now Given Wisdom.
Now consider the sprawling bureaucracy of the US federal public health system, including the FDA (Food and Drug Administration), EPA (Environmental Protection Agency), HHS (Health and Human Services), and even CDC (Center for Disease Control).
Not one person has stood up and said that carbon dioxide does *not* cause asthma. Not one. In all these years.

Actually , CO2 is a bronchial dilator.

That is why some forms of asthma attack can be alleviated by breathing into a paper bag.

Breathing methods such as the Buteko method, have been shown to increase the CO2 level in the lungs, thus easing bronchial restriction which is one of the major problems associated with asthma.

It’s indirect.

CO2 causes EPA agenda science to advance and EPA causes asthma to become a go-to talking point no matter what other medical science there is on asthma. Therefore EPACO2 causes asthma. It’s a synthetic molecule that is highly toxic to public policy and real science.

Just reading up on John ‘lip licker’ Kerry, he fly’s everywhere on his wife’s jet so that makes it okay since it is not his lives in a huge mansion, not his but hers, but that is okay since he is not responsible for the energy he uses. He says that he uses ‘carbon offsets’ that allows him to use extreme amounts of energy, isn’t that something only the wealthy can afford. When Zhao O’Biden and mister Kerry ‘save the world’, we who are not in the upper echelon of the world will not be able to afford the cost of our energy needs but that is okay as long as the rich can save us all! Just remember people, that so far the oceans have not covered Florida or the islands around the world as predicted, we still have snow even though we were told ‘that children will not know what snow is’ prediction made in 2000, that the arctic would be ice free, that if CO2 got above 350ppm we were doomed, it is now 412ppm. Take all this and research it yourselves, we are being lied to adnauseam. The poor will be the ones to suffer most as they are relegated to extreme poverty!

I personally see nothing wrong with owning and flying a private jet, as I do not believe in the cult of thermageddon as Monckton terms it.

However the hypocrisy of Kerry who says we all have to go without fossil fuels to save the planet – but flies his G-IV to Iceland for some speech or award – is an outstanding example of the “let them eat cake” mentality.

His plane is a 1995 Gulfstream G-IV, serial number 1261, tail number N57HJ.

https://prijet.com/owner/FLYING%20SQUIRREL%20LLC

On a flight from KBOS (Boston) to BIKF (Keflavik), the G-IV with 3,000 lbs of passengers and baggage, flying at FL390 (39,000 feet) burns right about 3,400 gallons of JET A fuel including taxi, climb, cruise and descent. (I am very familiar with the performance of the G-IV)

It is said each gallon of JET A produces 9.57 kg of CO2.

https://www.eia.gov/environment/emissions/co2_vol_mass.php

So his flight released 32,538 kg of CO2, one way.

The flight is very near 2,100 nautical miles, and the G-IV does it in just under 5 hours.

On a regular passenger aircraft for the same journey, one economy class passenger only releases 234 kg of CO2!

https://www.icao.int/environmental-protection/Carbonoffset/Pages/default.aspx.

So he released ~140 times more CO2 due to his privileged status as a climate change warrior!

But he has excellent taste – Gulfstream is THE premier business jet manufacturer!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6TVNaixlpQs

The newest Gulfstream models are truly amazing:

Good plane but old. Note if he is now a cabinet secretary he will often fly on a US government aircraft, probably a relatively new version of B737 like the C-40 series, or perhaps the C-32 version of the B757.

(The Secretary of State is typically a primary user of the C-32. Recall decades ago a US cabinet secretary was killed going into a country in IIRC eastern Europe, due to a navigation error by pilots of the B737.)

And US government agencies including USAF operate some Gulfstream V business jets, designated C-37A. And of course there are at least two of the biggies – 747s.

Communications equipment is carried, much of it for POTUS flights as Commander In Chief.

Some may have ability to be refueled in the air.

BTW, FTR, ‘Air Force One’ and ‘Marine One’ are flight numbers used when POTUS is on board USAF and Marine aircraft whatever the model. Those terms are used to distinguish from airline flights, years ago there was a case of confusion in the air. There are lesser flight desgnations used for other VIPS including the First Lady who I expect would use a government B737.

Just laughable . . . first Kerry responds with the phrase “If you offset . . .” then he later states “If I offset . . .”, but then he never states what he’s doing to offset his personal “carbon footprint” from using his private jet.

Instead, his sleight-of-hand bureaucrat-speak is to say the use of his private jet is critical to him negotiating world-wide in order for the US to “win the battle of climate change”, whatever that actually means and despite lack of any evidence that that is even possible.

As if it’s not possible to travel anywhere in the world using commercial aircraft and commercial ground transportation at a much, much smaller individual “carbon footprint”.

Just laughable.

Kerry must be a Catholic. If he says enough Hail Marys (donating to his church to offset CO2) he can continue to commit sin (use a private jet) for the greater good of doing God’s will (to win the battle of climate change). The irony is, of course, that “climate change” does not need to be, and can’t be, fought against – it is the natural way climate works, The climate is also more than grateful for any extra CO2 it can get. Kerry should be encouraged to fly more. Apart from that, Kerry is an arrogant hypocrite.

Recently, I’ve started to wonder if these politicians, billionaires and celebrities are really running a massive gaslight operation to purposely sabotage the climate change agenda they otherwise promote. Of course, any genuinely serious effort at eliminating CO2 from the economy would be decimating to their wealth, political power and lifestyles which they obviously would not want to sacrifice. So they transparently participate in this hypocritical behavior that makes it difficult to impossible for any thinking individual to take them and their rhetoric the least bit seriously.

Why? It’s win-win for them. They know that the controversy that they themselves generate with this transparently hypocritical behavior will sabotage the agenda so that they won’t ever have to sacrifice their wealth, influence or lifestyles. But they will get to keep their virtue signalling points with their peers and the useful idiots who do continue to take them seriously. It’s even better for those who get to profit from the agenda through political power, subsidies or enforced monopolies.

As long as “climate change” remains a religion to a gullible critical mass, the scam will continue.
