This post is intended as a starting point for a glossary of terms that speaks freely about the realities of the climate change/global warming crusade, or, if you prefer, the anti-fossil-fuel-producing-and-exporting-country crusade. In no way should it be considered to be an all-inclusive glossary at this point. Please add your choices for terms and their definitions in the comments.
GLOSSARY OF TERMS – CLIMATE CRISIS/CLIMATE EMERGENCY
Climate Activists – Persons who are trying, and succeeding in some places, to force their misguided beliefs on everyone else. Their limited successes here in the U.S. and elsewhere has led to even greater tantrums from them…thus the well-orchestrated Climate Strike and Extinction Rebellion protests.
Climate Feedback – Phenomenon that enhances global warming (positive feedback) or suppresses global warming (negative feedback), the sign of which is still unknown as it relates to the climate of the real world. It is assumed by climate modelers to be positive.
Climate Models – Very expensive fantasy computer games that are abused to make an international “anti-growth, anti-capitalist, anti-American” crusade appear to be based on science. (Quote source – Margaret Thatcher’s Statecraft, under the heading of HOT AIR AND GLOBAL WARMING)
Climate Scientists Whose Work Output Sustains the IPCC – Paid propagandists (a.k.a. eco-profiteers) and celebrity wannabes whose livelihoods depend on supporting the agendas of politicians and UN bureaucrats, not for researching the truths and realities behind global warming and climate change.
Developed Nations – Prosperous countries that created or joined the fossil-fuel-powered industrial revolution early and have been reaping the economic, technical, social, and health benefits of those innovations for decades, if not centuries.
Developing Nations – Countries in this category include those that failed to join the industrial revolution early, if at all, but now want to share the economic, technical, social, and health benefits of the Developed Nations (without having to expend their own time, moneys, and efforts or their own tears, sweat, and blood to achieve the present levels of prosperity of the Developed Nations) through the distribution of wealth (from developed to developing nations) via international agreements created by power-hungry unelected bureaucrats of the United Nations. Also included in this category are more recently industrialized nations that are looking for handouts from those countries that industrialized early.
Extinction Rebellion, Climate Strike, and Other Fossil-Fuel-Protest Groups – Overindulged, immature, ungrateful, naïve, and gullible children (and adults behaving like children) who have been brainwashed by decades of ever-scarier catastrophe propaganda about fossil fuels.
Green New Deal and Democratic President Candidate Plans to Magically Create Weather Stasis – Socialist manifestos based on contrived science and unrealistic economics.
Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) – Political (not science) entity founded by the United Nations in the 1980s to make an international “anti-growth, anti-capitalist, anti-American” movement seem, via smoke and mirrors, to have a foundation in science. (Quote source – Margaret Thatcher’s Statecraft, under the heading of HOT AIR AND GLOBAL WARMING)
IPCC Assessment Reports – Propaganda prepared for and by UN bureaucrats that repeat the same misinforming and disinforming crystal-ball-like prognostications of the future in each edition but with ever-increasingly desperate-sounding certainties.
Mainstream Media – Propaganda purveyors.
Paris Agreement – International Treaty intended to control the prosperity, mobility, lifestyle choices, and well-being of the citizens of developed nations, while transferring wealth from developed to developing nations.
Reduce Greenhouse Gas Emissions, They Say – Actually intended to undermine the economies of fossil fuel producing and exporting countries.
United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC ) – A series of failed and failing international agreements that hide behind the very-transparent veils of catastrophic-human-induced global warming/climate change with the overall intent of advancing “worldwide, supra-national socialism”. FULL QUOTES FROM MARGARET THATCHER’S STATECRAFT
I wouldn’t want the trolls to claim I was misquoting Margaret Thatcher, so here are the full quotes from her magnificent book Statecraft – Strategies for a Changing World, which was published in 2002, almost 2 decades ago. Both are from Chapter 11 – Capitalism and its Critics. The first paragraph under the heading of HOT AIR AND GLOBAL WARMING reads (my boldface):
The doomsters’ favorite subject today is climate change. This has a number of attractions for them. First, the science is extremely obscure so they cannot easily be proved wrong. Second, we all have ideas about the weather: traditionally, the English on first acquaintance talk of little else. Third, since clearly no plan to alter climate could be considered on anything but a global scale, it provides a marvellous excuse for worldwide, supra-national socialism.
Also, next is another paragraph written by the Iron Lady in Statecraft under the heading of HOT AIR AND GLOBAL WARMING (my boldface):
Actually, President Bush was quite right to reject the Kyoto protocol. His predecessor had supported it for international effect, while knowing its provisions made it a dead letter at home: the US Senate had voted unanimously on the matter. The protocol would have placed all the burden for reduction of CO2 on developed countries, while leaving the developing countries — including India and China — to keep producing it at a rapidly growing rate. America’s target for cuts was totally unrealistic — a 7 per cent reduction of overall emissions of greenhouse gases below 1990 levels between 2008 and 2012. And all this is before anyone considers the scientific arguments about why and to what extent global warming is occurring. Kyoto was an anti-growth, anti-capitalist, anti-American project which no American leader alert to his country’s national interests could have supported.

Greenhouse Gas Reduction Target – A totally impractical objective intended to destroy the economies of all developed countries.
It may well be appropriate to replace “developed countries” in the above by “democracies”. It seems to be no coincidence that all of the developed countries being targeted are democracies, and that the EU, which is so supportive of the propaganda campaign, is distinctly undemocratic.

calibrated uncertainty language — words chosen and hyped to fool unenlightened people into believing a failed theory and the practically meaningless climate-computer-model output incorporating it (e.g., “virtually certain”, “very likely”, “likely”).
consensus — a popular substitute word for “nonsense” used to support a failed theory and practically meaningless computer-model output embraced by people whose jobs depend on it.
climatology — a bastardized spelling of the word, “climastrology”, enthusiastically embraced by those wishing to elevate pseudo-science to the respect level of hard science.
greenhouse effect — a badly chosen name for a poorly understood process, historically propagated into an ever larger chain of erroneous thinking, retained by many, promoted by many, and accepted as fact, mostly because the name sounded cool at the time, so, hey, why change it now.

Correction: while transferring the wealth to corrupt dictators in developing nations and corrupt western NGOs helping them spend said wealth in ways that make them richer, as well and making the poor people poorer.

You provide accurate quotes of Margaret Thatcher from early this century. However, you omit context. She had started the scare two decades earlier and did not like that the scare had obtained ‘a life of its own’. The good comments you cite were made by Lady Thatcher after she had been UK Prime Minister (PM) and were an attempt to correct the scare she had deliberately created; her words you quote are like the Sorcerer’s Apprentice trying to stop the brooms.
The global warming hypothesis had existed for about a century as an obscure scientific conjecture. Several people had tried to make use of it to cause a scare but none was successful because
(a) the globe had not warmed as much as the nineteenth century calculations had predicted
and
(b) the scare-mongers lacked political position together with resources to create the scare.
Mrs Thatcher came to power as UK Prime Minister in 1979 and she was the first female leader of an industrialised Western State. Her experience of government was then only as Education Secretary (i.e. a Junior Minister) in the failed Heath government. She wanted to obtain credibility as PM which she could use to benefit the UK and Sir Crispin Tickell (the UK Ambassador to the UN) suggested a method to obtain it.
Mrs Thatcher had a degree in chemistry from Oxford University and few politicians know or understand science. Sir Crispin suggested she should make a fuss about a ‘scientific’ issue and he suggested ‘global warming’ as the issue.
Mrs Thatcher adopted Sir Crispin’s suggestions and she started to campaign about ‘global warming’. Politicians from other countries took notice and asked their civil servant’s for advice (if only to stop Mrs T’s campaign from disrupting summit meetings). The advice they obtained said ‘global warming’ was scientifically dubious but economically interesting: if all countries were ‘handicapped’ according to their energy usage then all except the largest economy (i.e. the USA) would gain competitive advantage at the expense of the USA. American politicians ignored the issue (for more than a decade) but politicians from all other countries joined in support of it. Thus, Margaret Thatcher had started an international political issue and so had become a significant politician on the world stage in record time.
Mrs Thatcher could not have promoted ‘global warming’ abroad without support of her political Party (the Conservative Party) at home. Her Party went along with it because ‘global warming’ seemed to attack the use of coal and they blamed the National Union of Mineworkers (NUM) for collapse of the Heath government.
Importantly, Mrs Thatcher needed to spend money on the issue if her ‘global warming’ campaign were to be taken seriously. So, priorities for research were altered: climate-related research was given priority and funding for it was increased (this cost nothing because research funds were cut for other things). Soon, all requests for research funding attempted to show relationship to climate. Later, but before the time of the above quotations from Lady Thatcher, she established the Hadley Center for Climate Research which to this day is the operating centre for the UN IPCC.
The ‘global warming’ scare is a bandwagon. Politicians of all ideologies can use it for their purposes and they provide money (obtained from public taxation) to promote it, for example, with subsidies for renewables.
The importance of all this is that THE GLOBAL WARMING SCARE IS POLITICAL. It has been political and not really about ‘science’ from the start. As Margaret Thatcher said about the relationship of science to politics, “Scientists should be on tap and not on top”.

Climate Change: Any process within the atmosphere. All atmospheric processes are driven by carbon dioxide produced from humans use of fossil fuels.

Uncertainties – Unknown unknowns, known unknowns, and massive inaccuracy ranges, apples-to-potatoes comparisons, and other issues with (often so-called) “data,” which are to be summarily ignored, discounted, belittled, hidden, denied, and otherwise swept under the rug at every opportunity in order to create an illusion of “scientific” certainty of human-induced climate “crisis,” even as the real world stubbornly shows no such “crisis” exists.
Climate Data – Reeking excrement that has been burnished, polished, waxed, buffed, perfumed, plated, and presented as a gourmet meal, with a side dish of denial of its underlying odor.
Weather Station – A thermometer sited as close as possible to every artificial source of heat imaginable, including barbecues, HVAC equipment, jet engines, asphalt, and concrete, in order to provide as much climate propaganda fodder as possible.
Enhanced Greenhouse Effect – Purely hypothetical bullshit that assumes CO2 to be what the Earth’s climate history plainly shows it to never have been – a “driver” of the Earth’s climate. Requires that “all other things” be “held equal” (which they will not be) in order to have any validity. Ignores water vapor (which is the main “greenhouse gas”) and water in all of its phases, whose climate impact dwarves and overwhelms any hypothetical effect of adding atmospheric CO2.
“Climate Event” – ANY “bad” weather news, which serves as excellent propaganda with which to bend the will of the weak-minded.
“Weather” – Any GOOD news about the weather, which by Eco-Nazi decree can therefore having nothing to do with the supposed human-induced “climate change.”
Suckers – People who are stupid enough, gullible enough, deluded enough, or clueless enough to believe that human fossil fuel related CO2 emissions are powerful enough to induce a “climate crisis” and who are willing to vote for “policies” that will ensure that they will starve and freeze to death in the dark, in order to “do something” about the non-existent “crisis.”
