IMF head Christine Lagarde suggested we’re all in big trouble if we don’t address climate change, while speaking at a conference in Saudi Arabia.

‘We will be toasted, roasted and grilled’: IMF chief sounds climate change warning

Christine Lagarde warns of ‘dark future’ if the world fails to take steps to address global warming

The world will be in deep trouble if it fails to tackle climate change and inequality, IMF managing director Christine Lagarde has warned.

“If we don’t address these issues… we will be moving to a dark future” in 50 years, she told a major economic conference in the Saudi capital Riyadh on Tuesday.

Lagarde said that “we will be toasted, roasted and grilled” if the world fails to take “critical decisions” on climate change.

In a statement following her visit, Lagarde praised Saudi reform efforts and moves to address the economic effects of persistently low oil prices.

“Saudi Arabia is also undertaking reforms to reduce constraints to women entering the workforce,” Lagarde said in the statement, pointing to a recent decision to allow women to drive.

Just in case you missed Lagarde’s speech in Riyadh and the October climate conference in Rome, there might still time to book a seat at the November UNFCCC climate conference in Germany, to be hosted by the Fijian government. No doubt in November you will also have an opportunity to buy Fijian sovereign climate bonds.

Lagarde is a horse’s ass.

Anyone with sense can observe that the current climate is wonderful, and has been getting better over the decades (slightly warmer nights and greening of the planet).

It’s too bad many people trust leftists in authority / high places, more than their own senses.

Real; climate science supports adding more CO2 to the air to stimulate plant growth just as intelligent greenhouse owners already do.

Real climate science suggests, although simple laboratory experiments are not proof, that doubling CO2 would increase the average temperature about +1 degree C. in 200 years … assuming CO2 rises about 2ppm per year.

Since greenhouse warming would be mainly at night, in colder regions, it would be good news if it happens.

There has been, and will be, no bad news from adding CO2 to the atmosphere.

The scaremongers seeking political power, who want to micromanage our lives, are horrible people, who know nothing about the future climate — the causes of climate change are guesses, so no one can predict the future climate.

Know what else is roasted, toasted, and grilled? The climate data.

“we’re all in big trouble if we don’t address climate change”

Okay, “Hello climate change.”

Problem solved.

When jumping on the Alarming News bandwagon stops being popular, will someone please let me know?

I still have zinnias blooming in pots on my front steps, despite the 35F temps at nice. Tough critters, zinnias. And I doubt that they care what Christine LaGarde thinks.

I’ve often posted comments about politically correct ‘flocking loons and pink flamingos.’ I was wrong. They’re coots. I accept that few people have watched coots, or know anything about them, but they are too scatterbrained to maintain a pecking order for more than a few minutes at a stretch, and other waterfowl completely ignore them.

You should see the coots when they realize that maybe the nest they’ve gone to wasn’t theirs, after all.

It is frightening that this woman is in such a position of power. Tells a lot about her mates in the European commission.

Thank God almighty ‘she’ hasn’t the talent and power of Lady Thatcher.

It is a natural response to being in Saudi Arabia. If she were at Antarctica she might have felt otherwise.

She shredded her credibility in one sentence with the Al Gore school of gross exaggeration shinning through .
When will these people learn . BS ‘ing the public with lies is just the fastest way to lose them . It is pure desperation . The UN scheme to fund it’s globalization goals on the backs of the “have ” countries like the USA crashed on the rocks of truth . . Years of planning , media promotion and they still couldn’t con the public .
For me as soon as they went to “the science is settled ” I knew their business plan was in trouble and desperation was setting in . They actually lucked out with Obama 2 getting back in but still squandered it .
Hijacking the Democrat party with people like greenie hedge fund billionaires just destroyed the brand
and the arrogance and outright stupidity of threatening the entire energy sector , with added targeting of coal was the gift that keeps giving . Telling your base you are going to go out of your way to make sure they lose their jobs . Pure genius .
The Clintons are a package deal which is like electing a corporation . Not on .
