John Kerry reaches new highs of beclowning himself with temperature

I’m pretty sure he’ll blame his blathering on the heat. You have to wonder if privately, many leading climate alarmists are saying quietly “shut up John you are blowing our argument“.

(CNSNews.com) – Secretary of State John Kerry told an audience in Mexico on Wednesday that temperatures in Europe and in Vietnam were “unprecedented” and broke “every record that’s ever been seen.” However, although it was hot that day, he was off the mark.

Speaking at an environmentally-friendly technology event in Mexico City, Kerry said he had just caught a CNN weather report in his hotel and “saw the temperatures around the world right now.”

“Thirty-four degrees centigrade [Celsius] in Vietnam today, in May. Twenty-nine, thirty, thirty-two, thirty-three in places all around Europe,” he said. “Unprecedented. Breaks every record that’s ever been seen.”

“What we are seeing around the world is what scientists have predicted,” Kerry continued. “They’re not telling us that we may see global climate change. We are seeing it, and we’re seeing the impacts now.”

Wednesday was a hot day in Vietnam, with temperatures rising at their highest to 36 degrees celsius (96.8°F) at Tan Son Nhut international airport in Ho Chi Minh City. But according to Vietnam’s foreign ministry, the highest temperature recorded in May is 39°C (102.2°F) in Ho Chi Minh City, and 42°C (107.6°F) in Hanoi. The Hanoi record was registered in 1926.

The hottest places in Europe in the heat of the day on Wednesday, according to weatheronline.co.uk included parts of Russia, Germany, central Italy and southern Turkey, all in the 29-32°C (84-89°F) range.

The highest temperature ever recorded in European Russia was 44°C (111.2°F) in 2010; in Germany was 40.2°C (104.4°F) in 1983 and 2003; in Italy was 48.5°C (119.3°F) in 1999; and in Turkey was 48.8°C (119.8°F) in 1993.

He goes on to cite the usual talking points, er tipping points. Meanwhile, real problems in the world exist and are getting worse. When one of those blows up while he’s off someplace preaching about non-existent all-time record highs, he’ll likely go down as the most incompetent Secretary of State ever.

This guy is a Sterling (so to speak) example of how gravitas can substitute for intellectual acuity. I can’t believe that so few people pick this up. It amazes me how few people who ostensibly share his views have pick up on just what a light-weight he actually is.
I think Churchill had an observation apropos, but I cannot remember it.
Nuts.

I predict the Republicans will win control of the Senate this year and the White House in 2016. Once the Republicans control both congressional houses and the White House the warmists will look at the climate change budget and say, “it’s worse than we thought”.

I just love the brow-scrunched drama-face look that Kerry apes during his delivery. Fatherly, gently tut-tutting, with the essence of deep concern and just a smattering of angst. With an on-off switch.

He must have been staying in the ‘pristine’ part of Mexico City, otherwise, he might have taken note of the pollution, trash, failing electrical and contaminated water that is being ignored in exchange for their religion.
Definitely, he was trying to deflect from his other failures and attach all efforts on the one thing that cannot be measured nor accounted for.

John Kerry has not been on the right side of an issue in many decades. He married his colleague’s wife and did well with that, and he worked the Mass. political machine well, but as far as helping america, understanding the truth of an issue or picking the right side of an issue, he is a nincompoop.

Why would a Secretary of State travel around the world parroting something he knows nothing about and proves it each time he opens his mouth and isn’t part of a Sec of State’s job to begin with?
Kerry is on the forefront of conditioning others which is needed so President Obama can continue his Carbon Control Oppression as part of his war on American prosperity, energy and cutting our nation down as many notches as possible. American leftists are just a slight degree away from being totalitarians. Repeat lies often so that eventually many think the lies are truths and are so conditioned or worn out that they give up => every totalitarian’s dream come true.

Odds are good for the Senate this year, but you’re more optimistic than I about 2016. Depends on the GOP candidate. My first choice isn’t interested in running, although has indicated she might be available as a Veep nominee.
http://www.governor.state.nm.us/
Sen. Rubio might be a good Veep choice for her.
Failing Gov. Martinez, maybe Dr. Carson. Hope I’m wrong, am afraid that none of the politicians who presently appear to be running stands much chance, although of course Nov 2016 is a long time away.

Give the guy a break. While some people quickly and effortlessly achieve their level of incompetence John Kerry has hung in there, tirelessly working towards that goal. True, while he was genuinely promoted to his level of incompetence many many years ago (and probably before that), give him some credit for not just resting on his laurels, but doggedly walking the walk (where did I hear that before?) till his level of incompetence has actually grown to achieve epic, worldwide status. Can us lesser beings claim such a level of accomplishment? Can we?

When your programs to find peace in the middle east, peace in the Ukraine, stop Iran from the bomb, etc., all fail, you turn to talking about the weather or in this case, climate change. John Kerry was basically a politician in Viet Nam when he was very young, and he has always been just a politician. Perhaps he was successful as a politician (small words) but a statesman, never.

Kerry used his 92 days in Vietnam to IMMEDIATELY begin working for the Massacusetts’ political offices, then leveraged that into a political office. he has ALWAYS ran “on Vietnam” and will never give up his 92 days in-country. Those 3 months, that exaggerated record “in-country”, are his entire life, and foundation for ALL of his entire political power.

Kerry’s job is to lie for the cause. He’s very bad at it. But for some reason he, like President Obama, thinks he’s doing a terrific job of it.

…………. Somewhere between then and 2012, he (Kerry) must have a had brain transplant. I wonder where Dr. Frankestein found the brain that he put in the head of this new climate change monster?

Me too. The central heating has been on for the past few days and the winter blankets are still on the bed. a Few years back we actually lit the fourneau in july. The last 5 years in sw france have been 180° different to the previous 12 years.

Its a lot easier to complain about climate change than address real problems…….After all, he is actually doing something about nothing as opposed to doing nothing about something.

Too true. First Kerry is busy not responding to subpoenas concerning the Benghazi consulate attack, coordinating the #BringBackOurGirls social media campaign against Boko Haram, and claiming Israel could become an apartheid state (if they don’t adopt his plan soon). What little time he as left is devoted to getting a new hair makeover to emphasise just how serious he is about Russia not withdrawing from Crimea, er Odessa, er Eastern Ukraine, er Moldova (you see, it worked!).
Secretary Kerry also appears not to have time to address Sudan’s plan to execute the pregnant wife of US Citizen because she will not convert to Islam. He seems satisfied Sudan has granted a stay of execution until the birth.

It is definitly unusually hot here in the Stockholm area, but a record, no.
Hottest temperatur recorded Sweden in May was in 1892 Kristianstad 32,5 degree C, it has not been above 30 degree C anywhere in Sweden this May, so Kerry is wrong again…
Today we had higher temperatures than Rom, Madrid, Athen Paris and Tunis today (Not very common…,) it is just weather.

book by Richard Condon.)

Yup. It is what Raymond Shaw’s squad is programmed to say if they are ever asked about Shaw. It is best if delivered in a slightly mechanical monotone. Kinda like the say Kerry speaks.

I was in Viet Nam [<–old timey spelling] when Kerry traveled to North Viet Nam, giving aid and comfort to the enemy along with Jane Fonda. They posed for propaganda photos with NVA soldiers.
I cannot understand why they were never indicted for treason.

As bad as Kerry is beclowning himself, he is taking a backseat to Paul Erlich, the
discredited population alarmist from a few decades back. In promoting his new
book, he actually states that due to dwindling resources, we will have to start
eating Soylent Green. If I were tripping on acid, I could not make this up!

Rud is absolutely correct based on my observations. Some politicians are a mile wide and an inch deep. John Kerry is an inch wide and an inch deep. What you see and hear is all there is. It is truly frightening that this fool nearly became President. My office was once in the same building as is Massachusetts Senate Office. I saw him acting towards his Senate Office staff in a truly appalling manner: A pompous prig.
