Gore cancels on Copenhagen lecture – leaves ticketholders in a lurch

It seems the uncertainty about Copenhagen is growing. When Al baby pulls the plug, you know it’s hosed.

From Berlingske: Al Gore cancels lecture during COP15

Al Gore cancels lecture during COP15

Former U.S. vice president has canceled his event, more than 3,000 Danes have purchased a ticket. Photo: JOSE MENDEZ

Looks like they will get a refund though. Might be worth more as a collectors item in ten years though.

I wonder how many people have shelled out $1200 to shake Al’s hand? Maybe not enough and he couldn’t cover the expenses for his private jet?

From the Washington Post:

“Have you ever shaken hands with an American vice president? If not, now is your chance. Meet Al Gore in Copenhagen during the UN Climate Change Conference,” notes the Danish tourism commission, which is helping Mr. Gore promote “Our Choice,” his newest book about global warming in all its alarming modalities.

“Tickets are available in different price ranges for the event. If you want it all, you can purchase a VIP ticket, where you get a chance to shake hands with Al Gore, get a copy of Our Choice and have your picture taken with him. The VIP event costs DKK 5,999 and includes drinks and a light snack.”

Wait, what? How much is that in American dollars? The currency conversion says it all, too: 5,999 Danish kroners is equivalent to $1,209.

“If you do not want to spend that much money, but still want to hear Al Gore speak about his latest book about climate challenges, you can purchase general tickets, ranging in price from DKK 199-1,499 depending on where in the room you want to sit,” the practical Danes advise. “There will be large screens, so that everyone will get a good view.”

Yah, such a deal.

Copenhagen climate change talks must fail, says top scientist
World’s leading climate change expert says summit talks so flawed
that a deal would be a disaster. James Hansen told Britain’s Guardian newspaper he believed that any agreement that might emerge from the upcoming conference would be deeply flawed.

Our Uk Foreign Secretary “Miliband the Deluded”…he of the “science is settled” is still on the bridge of the good ship Global Warming with this rousing speech to rally the troops….today he has attacked former ConservativeTory Chancellor and leading sceptic Lord Lawson with the words….
“I think it is profoundly irresponsible for people who have held, in the case of Nigel Lawson, positions of high office, to be doing what they are doing,”
Apparently he is blissfully unaware that troops and rats alike are leaving the sinking ship……
Captain, Captain….we’ve been hit by an iceberg!!!!!!

This is the time when I have to ask a simple question.
What is the way an individual can effect change through this morass?
The media in the UK is limp in the face of this monumental revelation of what we so acutely felt to be true. We will not get this chance again.

Not all reports read that way, though.”

Perhaps Al Gore is going to swim to Copenhagen to prove his credentials, he just underestimated how long it would take.

It is by Gerhard Gerlich & Ralf D Tscheuscner
Falsifi cation Of
The Atmospheric CO2 Greenhouse E ffects
Within The Frame Of Physics
“The authors express their hope that in the schools around the world the fundamentals of
physics will be taught correctly and not by using award-winning \Al Gore” movies shocking
every straight physicist by confusing absorption/emission with re
ection, by confusing the tropopause with the ionosphere, and by confusing microwaves with shortwaves”.
If anyone else read this with more grasp than I, speak up. It basically refutes the entire “greenhouse planet concept” as entirely ungrounded in physics. Took me almost all day, part of the conclusion I posted above.

To Al Gore:
I don’t care if you do or do not go to Copenhagen, but wherever you do go, please do not visit anywhere near Buffalo until after Lake Erie freezes over for the winter!
Monday’s lake-effect snow advisory of 3-6 inches of global warming resulted in an official 5.8″ which has since melted away in 50°F temps and plenty of rain.
Now we are facing a lake-effect snow warning of 5-10 inches of global warming starting tomorrow morning. And most times, such heavy wet global warming is hard to shovel – it’s heavy!
So, Mr. Gore, why don’t you take some time out from your busy travel schedule and spend a couple months far from us who have to shovel all your global warming. Try Tahiti and spare us any more Gore Effects.

Kevin (11:47:37) :Said
“You guys really hurt your credibility when you go on about Gore — almost as bad as Climate Progress….
First Gore is not a scientist. He is a politician and a traitor to boot. No I am serious he is a traitor.
A Traitor: a person who is guilty of treason or treachery, in betraying friends, country, a cause or trust; a member of a clandestine subversive organization who tries to help a potential invader.
Vice President Al Gore swore this oath.
“I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God.”
No wher in the Constitution does it say the VP has the authority to hand control of the US government over to a foreign organization or power. Yet he is actively working to undermine US sovereignty and promote “Global Governance”
The really interesting bit is how rank and file Political Activists are being controlled. It started with The ‘Innocents’ Clubs’: http://www.heretical.com/miscella/munzen.html
“…During the 1920’s and most of the 1930’s Münzenberg played a leading role in the Comintern, Lenin’s front for world-wide co-ordination of the left under Russian control. Under Münzenberg’s direction, hundreds of groups, committees and publications cynically used and manipulated the devout radicals of the West….Most of this army of workers in what Münzenberg called ‘Innocents’ Clubs’ had no idea they were working for Stalin. They were led to believe that they were advancing the cause of a sort of socialist humanism. The descendents of the ‘Innocents’ Clubs’ are still hard at work in our universities and colleges. Every year a new cohort of impressionable students join groups like the Anti-Nazi League believing them to be benign opponents of oppression…”
Maurice Strong, Father of Global Warming, added a new twist to the ‘Innocents’ Clubs’. Strong’s early work with YMCA international “…may have been the genesis of Strong’s realization that NGOs (non-government organizations) provide an excellent way to use NGOs to couple the money from philanthropists and business with the objectives of government.” http://sovereignty.net/p/sd/strong.html
Very few of even the larger international NGOs are operationally democratic, in the sense that members elect officers or direct policy on particular issues,” notes Peter Spiro. “Arguably it is more often money than membership that determines influence, and money more often represents the support of centralized elites, such as major foundations, than of the grass roots.” The CGG has benefited substantially from the largesse of the MacArthur, Carnegie, and Ford Foundations. http://www.afn.org/~govern/strong.html
President Clinton took the NGOs even further. By Presidential Executive Order the USA was divided into ten regions. These regions are governed by an unholy mix of unelected government bureaucrats and NGOs. The regions were set up by President Nixon but implementing “regional governance concept began in earnest with the Clinton-Gore administration. “On the heels of the President’s Council on Sustainable Development , came the President’s Community Empowerment Board, chaired by Vice President Al Gore,” http://www.rense.com/general63/ree.htm These quasi-governmental regional authorities are slowly transforming the US from representative government to government by United Nations sponsored and directed NGOs and appointed bureaucrats.
Al Gore is actively treading a course of treason. Copenhagen is just another step towards his goal of overthrowing the government of the USA and replacing it with the United Nations.

Imagined Drought Vs Real Satellite Image
See The Propaganda …..
Amazon Forest in danger says Telegraph,
and shows a photo from 2005 of some dried
up puddle which they claim is the Curuai Lake,

Then when we look at a satellite image from
Google, which is dated 2009, of the same
Curuai Lake, we see that it is full of water.

Who are we to believe, the propagandists
or our very own eyes, and satellite imagery ?

Thank you very, very much for this humorous pause.
I truly hope the planned Copenhagen carbon tax treaty, the corner stone NWO administation tax, will not now occur.
It was the privately owned international banking cartel led by Rothschild via the World Bank and IMF who were funding the global warming research because they saw a way to get the world’s sheep to accept a new world administrative tax by cloaking it as a save the earth measure.
Neither Gore or the NWO care a fig about the planet – they only care about setting up a communist one world government system with 4% corporate/gov’t elite and 96% serfs.

Just a few years back A.G. was signing books for free in Costco.
CNN presented a “debate” on warming or no warming today, but the moderator obnoxiously inserted himself so often and so loudly little, if anything, could be gleaned about the science of AGW vrs. the myth.
Since global warming coincidentally is linked with the show about nothing, probably all parties had a heads up. Al is Occidental, don’t forget..

Darn, I mentioned on an earlier thread. ” UAH global temperature anomaly for November, up again “ That I would put up with snow here in sunny North Carolina if Copenhagen and Washington DC got plastered. Well Mother Nature Has a sense of humor – or was it the GORE EFFECT? – They are now predicting snow for Saturday. Bob Tisdale what was that you said about it being warmer?? I have seen snow here 3X in 15 years!
Sigh, I guess I had better get started draining water hoses on all fourteen stock tanks. At least DC is going to get snow too. Hope it is a blizzard and socks in the DC airports. I wonder if Mother Nature will keep Obama from flying to Copenhagen? Snigger

Why all this piling on poor Mr Gore. He gave you the Internet, single-handedly eradicated the half-man, half-bear, half-pig problem threat and what thanks does he get? Nada, zilch!
I’m certain that everyone who’d paid to touch flesh with the Great Saviour in CarbonHagen knows that his cancellation was always a possibility. Super Heroes have no choice but to react immediately when good old Gaia is imperilled.
Folks, there’s thirsty old camels in the Sahara needing hydrated, Himalayan Glaciers needing pushed back into shape and Maldivian Parliaments needing rescued!
Give him a break, as if that’s not enough he’s got to prove to an ever-increasingly suspicious population that the BBC is still as strictly neutral and non-propagandist as it always has been.
Gawd bless you Mr Gore.

Michael (10:55:37) :
CNN, NBC, ABC, CBS, and others need to be investigated and indicted as accomplices in the Climategate fraud, and have their FCC licenses revoked

***NEWSFLASH***
Individual broadcast stations (actual radio frequency over-the-air radio energy emanating facilities) are licensed here in the U.S., not networks.
An example: Alex Jones works like a network too, for he owns _no_ broadcasting facilities (shortwave or otherwise) but still gets his (populist) message out (once upon a time, where he got his start, he used to rant and rave only on Austin Public Cable Access TV channels but that is a story for another time).
Unlike the networks, however, he pays his shortwave stations a fee to broadcast his ‘program’ (via Genesis et al).
