A Happy and Merry Christmas to all WUWT readers from Josh and Anthony. It has been a fun year in the climate debate and while many who are close to me know that 2015 has been a year of great personal cost, I hope 2016 will prove to be a year of renewal and growth. For all of our readers around the world, Josh provides this cartoon:
For those few readers that prefer to wage a war of vitriol and hate in your comments here and elsewhere, or by your deeds (and you know who you are), in case you missed it, this post pretty well sums up how I and many climate skeptics deal with such things. Merry Christmas to you too.
Along those lines, the Josh-WUWT calendars are still available for a short time, you can use them to spread the climate skeptic message through humor, rather than hate.
Finally, my sincere personal thanks to everyone who has helped me through this very difficult year, be it by notes of encouragement, helping moderate the site, offering guest posts, or financial help such as getting me to AGU15 so that we could get valuable feedback on our publication, you have my sincerest and most heartfelt thanks. We have a community here that spans the globe, and that community has strength in numbers and in deeds.
Merry Christmas (or as you may say it in your country, see below) to all, and to all, keep up the good fight! – Anthony Watts

This song, one of my favorites, seems appropriate:

And Merry Christmas to you and yours; and a happy new year to one and all.
I note that you tell us to be of good cheer as we deal with the alarmists and their many minions and sock-puppets. For one, I will try but it is real hard sometimes.
Be of good health Anthony, and try to listen to all the facts and all the theories — and be skeptical of the theories as all good scientists are. (that last is for all of us really)
Merry Christmas Anthony and wonderful Josh, and to all those who work for truth.
Merry Christmas Anthony and family and Josh and family!
Nice to see that the Christmas wishes were in so many languages, including the smaller ones which have trouble to survive in a Internetting world…
God bless you all and a very merry Christmas to you and yours.
People care about their heritage. The internet provides tools to help them preserve that. example
Merry Christmas Anthony, Josh and everyone 🙂
Merry Christmas to our host, his family and all frequenting the blog.
Христос се роди (Christ is born) !
Merry Christmas and a Healthy, Happy and Prosperous 2016 to all at WUWT and thank you to Anthony, Josh and all the contributors!
Feliz Natal! M-Xmas from Brazil!
Merry Christmas from the High Lonesome of NE Oregon -5C here, so no shorts of T-shirt.
( I have a cold…)
Merry Christmas to all, even those who would rather hear “Happy Holidays”!
Oh, what the heck: Happy Holidays too!
Hey, why not – it is Christmas.
Happy Holidays = Happy Holy Days….Me? I’m very agnostic but I was taken by the reading of a young woman at Kings College festival of carols and readings when she said: He seeks not thine, but thee. [humble].
Happy Christmas, Anthony, and all who look after you.
… and dear Harry Passfield, I am quite sure that that young woman would hasten to add (upon reading your comment), even if thee, you, had been the only one, the only one who would ever believe in Him, He still would have come. Just — for — you. You really do matter that much!
Merry Christmas and have fun with your grandson and rest of the family,
Janice
John,
I say Season’s Greetings to non-Christians and Merry Christmas to Christians. Happy Holidays is too PC for me. Season’s Greetings predates the abominable PC era.
TG,
I’m from NE Oregon, too, but the balmy lowlands, where it’s currently just freezing, however I’ve strayed far from God’s Country. I gather that regular commenter here Pamela Gray also hails from where your daddy hunts or hunted.
I understand, Gloateus Maximus. Except, to be “politically” correct, in the US, since the Government’s political Office of Management and Budget has recognized “Christmas Day” a Federal Holiday, the proper greeting would indeed include the word “Christmas”. Most other US National Holidays get the adjective “happy”, such as Happy Thanksgiving, Happy Fourth of July, and we even say Happy Birthday, but traditionally we go with “Merry” instead for Christmas. So, it would appear that the “Politically” correct greeting would be “Merry Christmas”.
Merry Christmas and here is a donation to your tip jar..
Thanks for all you have done, Anthony. Noela we pîroz be, from Erbil.
Merry Christmas to Anthony, Josh, Mods, contributing posters and commenters. You make life more rich.
Feliz Navidad from New Mexico to Anthony and Family (and Josh and the rest of the “family”). Thanks to Anthony and “family” for this wonderful forum.
Bernie
Merry Christmas Anthony you have made a difference in the world. Thank you.
Terry and Hyon
Merry Christmas to you as well, and to everyone here!
At a recent neighbourhood pre-Christmas get-together I spotted a copy of Tim Flannery’s latest book of climate catastrophe ramblings on the hostess’s coffee table. I resisted the temptation to “accidentally” spill my beverage on the book, not being one to waste good drink. I did leave my plate on top of the book, just to hide it from view for a little while. As you say above, we have to keep up the good fight.
Merry Christmas!
Tidings of good will to you all.
John
Merry Christmas! (or “Happy Christmas” to those across the pond)
We have much to thankful for.
For those who don’t ascribe to “Christ”mas, enjoy the holiday anyway.
(Treat is as St. Patrick’s Day is treated here in the US. For a day everybody’s Irish! 😎
To Anthony Watts and Josh a very Merry Christmas.
A Merry Christmas to one and all. Please take a quiet moment to reflect on the goodness we celebrate this time of year. Let the battle wait just a little.
🙂 Today is a great Day!!
Merriest of Christmases!
Enjoy the full Moon as well.
Merry Christmas, Anthony and Josh, and thank you for your ceaseless work in bringing some objectivity to the Anthropocentric Global Warming narrative!
(A much more appropriate word than ‘Anthropogenic’, I think!)

HorshamBren,
That word is a great Christmas present. Thanks. I will start to use it often.
Best wishes to you and yours.
John
How about “anthropophobic climate change”?
Pamela,
Like it, Paisana!
Or . . . Anthropomorphic Global Warming

May I take this opportunity to wish the climate scientists professor Chris Turney and his colleagues from Russian ship Akademik Shokalskiy, which became ice-bound in the Antarctic on Christmas Eve, a much happier anniversary and hopefully a Merrier Christmas.
(note to the mod: if out of order please delete).
Thanks, Vuk, and Merry Christmas to you, too! …
… And to Anthony, and all the millions of readers of WUWT.
This site is the antidote to the mass of head-nodding mouth breathers who are being led by the nose by the media, and the self serving vested interests in the bogus “climate change” narrative. We’re the enlightened ones, and our obligation is to spread the truth.
As Thomas Sowell writes:
“We’re raising whole generations who regard facts as more or less optional… They’re being taught that it’s important to have views, and they’re not being taught that it’s important to know what you’re talking about”
Merry Merry Christmas! A heartfelt thanks for your time and effort. It is no small matter this fight. It is no small matter the amount of time you have invested in it.
Merry Christmas and Thank You and all contributors for maintaining a great website from which we provide a healthy debate and indeed keep up the good fight!
