Friday Funnies: Global Rounding

Since we all enjoy some some humor at Al Gore’s expanse, I bring you the comedy of my weird and wacky  libertarian friend, Will Franken. No he’s not related to Al and yes he’s libertarian.

Thanks Steve – hilarious – might I add that the moderators and guest posters are doing an excellent job while Anthony is away – a good sign of a well functioning organization.

Talk about frenetic. That Global Rounding thing could have legs. First one with a scientific research proposal to the NSF could secure lifetime employment.

i assume you meant at “Al Gore’s EXPENSE” unless you were referring to his girth?

That guy sounds exactly like Al Gore. Amazing.

Climate Change benefits humanity.
Climate Change causes a lack of complacency. We must, from time to time, be forced to stay on our toes and adapt to changing weather patterns.
In recent years, due to global cooling, we have had to allocate more money for snow removal and store more food due to the shorter growing season.
During the previous years of global warming, we enjoyed longer growing seasons and smaller expenditures for snow removal.
Climate Change is not our enemy. It has been going on for millions of years.
Climate Change is our friend. It is a great motivator for us to get off our duffs to do something, use our brains in adaptive planning, and dispel boredom.

Global Rounding is the most critical issue we have ever faced on earth. The evidence is clear, the earth is round and the consiquences are dyer. While there are fluctuations in roundness over time, the fact remains that we are the cause of the current steep climb in global rounding. If we don’t make deep cuts now, the earth may never be flat.
Time is running out and our children will remember us for how we delt with this impending catastrophe. The time for action is now.

Franken could do a good piece on the true name of Global Warming: Today’s Anthropogenic Bad Weather (TABWr). Every night at 6, wherever you are!

Meanwhile, back in the topsy turvy reality that is Europe, the French blockade of refineries etc has led them to switch their nuclear stations into overdrive in compensation.
I wondered, since we in UK import 5%+ of our electrical power from France on a daily basis, were the French still exporting to us through the Interconnector?
A quick look at http://www.bmreports.com/bsp/bsp_home.htm revealed that nothing is coming from France and that neither Wind at 1.2% nor Hydro at 0.7% nor pumped storage at 0.8% were taking up the slack. Not surprising since rivers are generally low in Scotland and the wind has rarely obliged.
If the French demos continue and the weather turns cold as forecast for next week, the politicians and the greeens will have some questions to answer. Even the MSM can’t ignore the lights going out! Or will they……..

Roger, when the lights go out it will be because of global warming! All the warmth makes people riot and strike and cut off evil petrol, oil, gas, coal – simples!

Beautiful play on words!

The Chinese hyper star pianist Lang Lang, one of the busiest globe-trotters, stars in this green agitprop. Imagine the sound he would have made had he starred in the 10:10 spot!

Did they fix them already? Two months ago they had to import electricity because too many reactors were switched off. I had to travel to France so i had the opportunity to ask the local engineers and they acknowledged that there were problems.

Truer words were never spoken. To this date we have based all of our maps on ellipsoids. It’s clear that we no longer know where we are or where we are going!

@WillR
The fact that we don’t know where we are going or what we are doing does not mean we should not take action now. Because we know next to nothing, its always best to err on the side of caution.

October 22, 2010 5:39 pm

Well, if he’s funny, then he’s obviously NOT related to Al Franken.

Vote yes on 23, to tell the Al Gore Law to 23 skidoo.
Our forests are shut down (except for gangs growing pot), our mines are shut down (we produced most of the gold that used to be in Fort Knox), our industries got exported, and now they want to shut the rest of California down, turn it into a park and charge admission.

Steeptown above refers us to a climate funny from the Beeb. Thank to Steeptown for the link – I enjoyed it and despaired at the same time. I am just posting to urge people to have a look – particularly people who pay a UK television licence fee. It is the Beeb being breathtakingly gullible and stupid about climate change – no longer any surprise there, then.

Folks, the script on this movie is locking up my Adobe 10 on my MacBook Pro. It interferes with reading any part of the blog, any page. I have to shut down the script every time I go to a new page. Can anyone help so I can continue reading the blog in pleasure.
