!!!!!!!!!FAKE NEWS ALERT!!!!!!!
CALI, Colombia (AP) — The United Nations, scientists and governments made an urgent call Wednesday for increased funding to protect coral reefs under threat of extinction.
Research this year shows that 77% of the world’s reefs are affected by bleaching, mainly due to warming ocean waters amid human-caused climate change. It’s the largest and fourth mass global bleaching on record and is impacting both hemispheres, United Nations Capital Development Fund said.
In the world’s largest coral reef ecosystem, Australia’s Great Barrier Reef, bleaching affected 90% of the coral assessed in 2022
We have, of course, been here before!
The same old lies were being peddled a year ago:

Meanwhile, back in the real world, the reefs are doing fine:
And the Pacific was just as warm as now 500 years ago:

As AP inadvertently report, this is all about UN fundraising:
After the emergency session, the governments of New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Germany and France made new pledges totaling around $30 million to the U.N. fund for coral reefs established in 2020. By 2030, the fund seeks to leverage up to $3 billion in public and private finance to support coral reef conservation efforts. Around $225 million has been raised to date.

When will the ice making UN fleet ships start dumping ice into tropical waters to lower ocean temperatures?
Because waiting for CO2 in the atmosphere to drop and cool ocean temperatures will be a very long wait.
…especially as the GHE doesn’t heat the oceans in the first place – it can’t because LWIR can’t penetrate.
Not only that, but within meters of the surface of ocean areas where corals thrive, IR-excited CO2 and H2O overwhelmingly decay by collision and conversion to sensible heat, not be emission.
Dumping ice in the oceans near reefs will kill the corals in question.
We need to stop the global mass bellyaching.
What? And give up economic slavery?

Will someone please post a map showing the distribution of coral reefs around the world to show that the reefs prefer warm ocean waters.

I had the same quote in my clipboard to ask… What about the other 23%?
“United Nations Capital Development Fund said”
That is a scientific organization?
The name tells you exactly what the game is – no white coats even required for this “scientific” revelation.
The real crisis here is one of mass bleating
All this bleating is leading to vibrations in the water, causing panic among fish, which raises their body temperature and therefore warms the oceans
This is the concensus settled scientz
The coral reefs around Cozumel have been heavily impacted by the cruise ships
dumping untreated water when they arrive, These ships also bring in coral disease with
the ballast water. The nutrient load increase has a major impact on the coral as does
dragging anchor thru the reefs. Man made coral damage no doubt.
Strong El Ninos impact water temps in the Pacific via
trade winds. But El Nino’s being caused by CO2???? Yea right.
Some action must be done before the order comes to delete the data, smh…

Two New Studies Blow Alarmists’ Claims Away: Coral Bleaching Events Natural, Happened Before
https://climatechangedispatch.com/two-new-studies-affirm-coral-bleaching-events-are-natural/
I agree.
It’s important to consider the extensive scientific evidence confirming the severity of the current global coral bleaching event. NOAA has reported that over 84% of the world’s coral reefs have been affected, marking the most widespread bleaching event on record. This phenomenon is primarily driven by elevated ocean temperatures linked to climate change. For instance, the Great Barrier Reef has experienced significant bleaching, with some areas reporting up to 80% of coral colonies bleached and substantial mortality rates. These findings are corroborated by multiple reputable sources, including NOAA and The Guardian. Dismissing these events as “fake news” undermines the critical importance of addressing climate change and its impact on marine ecosystems.
