British Government Climate Advisors Demand Everyone Live like Poor People

“… fly less, eat less meat and use public transport more often …”

Now Keir Starmer’s climate advisers say we will need to change diets and fly less – after PM insisted climate goals wouldn’t hit Britons

Britons will have to fly less, eat less meat and use public transport more often to hit Net Zero goals, the Government’s main climate-change advisers have insisted.

The stipulations outlined to MPs today directly contradict promises by Sir Keir Starmer earlier this month that reducing greenhouse gas emissions would not involve people in Britain having to change their lifestyles.

New targets mean the UK’s emissions should be cut to 81 per cent of 1990 levels by 2035.

Speaking at the Cop29 summit in Azerbaijan a fortnight ago, the Prime Minister said he would not be ‘telling people how to live their lives’ by reducing air travel or changing their diets.

But today leading members of the Climate Change Committee (CCC) spelled out that hitting the target would involve widespread ‘behaviour change’.

Is anyone else getting fed up with this wartime austerity nonsense greens keep trying to impose on us?

Of course, none of this stops them from claiming renewable energy is the cheapest option. In which case, why the need for rationing and austerity?

Once other people’s money has run out, Keir and his clowns will have no friends.

We’ve reached “peak alarmism” and too many people in the real world now see the scam for what it is.

Hold on. It’s only advice from the Climate Change Committee. He’s not obliged to follow it. Let’s wait until the Labour Government actually starts to clamp down on flying, eating meat and using private transport before we start to criticise Sir Keir Starmer. He’s doing enough already to merit massive criticism without criticising him for things he hasn’t yet done.

Let’s wait until the Labour Government actually starts to clamp down on flying, eating meat and using private transport before we start to criticise Sir Keir Starmer.

The date for the phase of ICE vehicles has been brought forward to 2030, and the quotas for BEVs is already causing headaches, so that’s a check for private transport.

Air passenger duty has gone up again, no doubt more to come, so a check for flying.

Critically, Starmer appears to be every bit an N-Z fanatic as Mad Ed, CCC “recommendations” are bound to be followed by action.

Of course Starmer’s not going to do it directly. He’s just going to tax it into oblivion. Flights – https://www.telegraph.co.uk/business/2024/11/28/easyjet-cut-domestic-flights-reevess-tax-raid/. And I’m confident you may have seen a few articles about the farmers recently, so there goes your meat prices – if farmers are forced to sell up to pay inheritance tax you can bet the buyer won’t be farming cattle, they’ll be farming wind power subsidies. And don’t forget the ban on ICE cars is coming sooner or later. So 3 for 3, are you ready to start criticising Starmer now?

They say he robbed the rich to give to the poor. The socialist MO, on the other hand, is to rob the middle class, give most of it to the rich, and hand out just enough to the poor that they go along with it.

I believe the actual story, before it was corrupted by a modern/socialist mindset, was that he stole from the government and returned to the overtaxed. But it’s hard to find that version anymore.

The UK’s climate advisors can rest assured that the only people who intend to follow their advice are ones who are already doing so. In other words, a tiny minority of foolish eccentrics who don’t realize that their save-the-planet antics are just getting them the horse laugh if they’re not being ignored entirely.

“emissions should be cut to 81 per cent”
Calculations showed it to be 80.51.
Shep the sheep dog reports to the shepherd: “Got all 40 penned, boss.”
Boss says: “What? we only have 37.”
Shep says: “I rounded up.”  🐏

The UK is about 3.25% of the global GDP and will become less as China, the US and India grow. It led the world into the industrial revolution and now is leading back out, but who will follow?

MarkW2

Speaking to friends in the police and military there is genuine concern here in the UK that civil unrest could break out if this nonsense continues. People are getting so fed up with net zero, increasing energy and living costs, the woke agenda and immigration that this could happen if politicians don’t start listening to Joe Public.

What a truly dreadful situation we could be approaching.

reminds me of the Thatcher “poll tax” riots.
Carry on trying to enforce stuff in Westminster ended up by it being uncollectable. It ended up kicking Thatcher out.

First thing should happen
-a majority widespread movement of refusal to pay the TV tax – the BBC, the propaganda arm of the gov.
That would bring the BBC down to size.

2nd thing, kick out all the royals and all those useless hangers-on – perfect example being the Epstein worm ANDREW and the tree hugger Charles.

British Labour blinks with the great moral imperative of their time-
Labour to water down electric vehicle targets amid car maker pressure

‘We have always been committed to restoring the original 2030 phase-out date for the sale of new cars with pure internal combustion engines.
‘The original date included the provision for some hybrid vehicle sales between 2030 and 2035. We know it is important to provide stability for drivers and will set out further details in due course.’

I dropped into the Toyota dealer yesterday going past and asked how the Feb 2024 deposit on the missus new Corolla Cross hybrid was going and they thought it should be scheduled for production late Jan 2025 and could be available late Feb. It will make it under the NVES combined CO2 thresholds for the first 2 years starting next year before copping $100/gram over the lowering limbo bar thereafter. Oh what a feeling!

My heart goes out to my brethren in the UK; now you know why we are so reluctant to give up our 2A rights here in the US! If Brits still had large numbers of weapons Comrade Stormtrooper might be a little more flexible!
But don’t worry, the UK is right near the top of the list for liberation from oppressive totalitarian regimes. A bit after Commifornia, the Canadian Socialist Republic, and whatever our mates down under are calling the former colony of Australia these days! But not to worry, with the present state of our woke military, England should be able to cast of the yoke of totalitarianism in a mere 20-30 years; unless the MIC has turned it into part of the demilitarized zone between Oceania and Eurasia as the SMO in Ukraine slogs on!

Our military personnel can fit into a large football stadium and apparently Starmer is going to send them to Ukraine to be killed.

Our police force is unarmed other than specialists.

I don’t think we need weapons beyond traditional Pitchforks and Torches.

“Britons will have to fly less, eat less meat and use public transport more often to hit Net Zero goals, the Government’s main climate-change advisers have insisted.”

Naturally the brilliant “leaders” who put this plan together are going to lead by example. Let’s watch as they all adopt veganism and a medieval lifestyle. Let’s learn from their ardent desire to die cold and hungry in the dark after only a few decades of miserable existence in order to save the planet from bad weather.

Once we’ve seen the great success of this new lifestyle the government promotes we can decide for ourselves if we want to follow along. Chance are the promoters of this fiasco who follow their own advice won’t be around to criticize the few sane individuals among us who chose to wait for a better offering.

Starmer is just another of these leftist politicians who figures that raising taxes and imposing more green laws and restrictions will hit the wealthy hardest. In fact, he hasn’t realized the it would be the lower classes that would be impacted most since they traditionally have fewer reserves to fall back on. Yet he believes that the resulting austerity would somehow have a beneficial effect on the environment.
