Will “Green New Deal” Failures Elect Trump?

From MasterResource

By Robert Bradley Jr. — November 4, 2024

Ed Note: With the U.S election demonstrating 1) the impotency of climate alarmism and 2) bad experience with wind, solar, and batteries, this is a timely repost from earlier this year. To update, substitute Kamala Harris for Joe Biden.

“A Clean Energy Transition should be occurring but not with the RECKLESS STUPIDITY enhancing the possibility of Trump Again!” (Robert Bibbo, below)

Robert Bibbo, self-described environmental energy analyst and observer, lamented a while back on the growing popularity of Trump relative to President Biden. He stated:

This New York Times Poll Shows Trump Leading in 5 Battleground States. A Point In Time Not Election Day Certainty. Nevertheless! Never Ever Trumpers Should be Concerned.

Bibbo then brought in some historical analysis:

In 2016 The Democratic Brain Trust saddled Hilary with a Clean Power Plant 1 War on Coal. Krugman opines 2x (NYTs) that CPP 1 delivered PA, MI & WI (46 EC votes) to elect Trump45. In 2020 those 46 votes elected Biden. Heading into 2024 the Brain Trust has saddled Biden with a Clean Power Plan 2 War on Fossil Fuels. Add the reasonable chance of midwest grid failures Trump Again is much too real. A Clean Energy Transition should be occurring but not with the RECKLESS STUPIDITY enhancing the possibility of Trump Again! And just like CPP1, CPP2 has no chance to become law.

There is a bit of a civil war with some climate alarmists warning to go slow for political reasons. But doesn’t Bibbo know that the climate is in crisis and the emergency is HERE? Biden, Kerry, and Gore said it. The United Nations said it. Scientist Andrew Dessler said it….

But maybe climate politics is about more that just “saving the planet.” Maybe it is about money and power, the Climate Industrial Complex, bleeding prosperity but at a pace that the subjects do not rebel.

responded:

Ending the transition with an apology would be the best course of action for the Democrats. After all, wind, solar, and batteries are hardly environmental, not only uneconomic.

Joseph Toomey added:

There is no way your “Clean Energy Transition” can occur without “reckless stupidity.” … Add in the fact that the economy will be in FAR WORSE shape one year from now, together with the fact that pollsters like Times/Siena routinely over-sample Democrats in their raw data adjustment process, and these polling disadvantages will likely only grow.

No response from Bibbo, but I think he is on to something that will fully germinate in November.

Green New Deal helps Trump, hurts Harris/Biden. But don’t think it is among the main factors. Those are the Border, Inflation, and Wars.
The stolen 2020 election has had disastrous consequences that now bigly affect tomorrow’s outcome.

There are five ways to know with reasonable certainty that 2020 was stolen.

  1. Bellweather counties. The three never wrong since Reagan went for Trump. 18 of the 19 never wrong since Bush/Gore went for Trump.
  2. Enthusiasm. Two indicators. First Relative rallies, no comparisons. Second, the second term vote tallies. Even Obama got slightly less in 2012 than in 2008. Trump got 12.5 million MORE.
  3. Nationwide cheats, such as ballot harvesting proven analytically by True the Vote and then visually documented in 2000 Mules.
  4. State by state cheats. Easy to show in GA, PA, WI, and MI. My favorite example is WI ‘indefinitely confined’ mail in ballots that do not require proof of residency. In 2018, about 80,000. In 2020, after Dane (Madison) and Milwaukee counties declared fear of COVID qualified for ‘indefinitely confined’, the number was about 250,000. The leftist WI Supreme Court subsequently declared that both counties exceeded their state constitutional legislative authority with that declaration.
  5. MSM continuous gaslighting that the above facts are not true or mean nothing, so the election ‘wasn’t stolen’.

I’m not sold on the ballot cheating. I am sold on CIA/FBI/Deep State colluding with the media to throw the election, especially the late-breaking laptop story and the Hillary Russia fake news. Whatever ballot cheating there was paled in comparison to the media distortions, and I think they overstepped it enough to reduce their hold on the American public.

This is also what happens when fiscal reality happens. Energy prices were always going to rise, and massive spending was always going to trigger general inflation. They have nobody to blame but themselves for all their lies coming home to roost.

Good point. I’ll add as a sixth point, leaving MSM gaslighting as 6th and last. The five above were all previously detailed in a long ‘American Thinker’s guest comment kindly arranged by CtM.

Voter fraud and attempted fraud is very undemocratic and un-American!

There are good reasons to conclude that the Green New Deal causes inflation.

Historical fact. The New Deal of the 30s was terminated after approximately 2 years. Why? It did not kick start the economy and the Federal Government acquired too much debt too quickly.

Those who fail to heed the lessons of history or choose to ignore them are doomed to repeat the mistakes.

One thing that made this possible was the conflation of voter fraud with election fraud.
Very little voter fraud does not mean very little election fraud.

I’ll be glad when this damn election is over. Trump the ignoramus will at least slow down the bureaucracies and hopefully put a stop to this Green Raw Deal and woke nonsense. If Kamala wins, well, you have to have a brain to be ignorant, and ignorance can be cured by thinking and learning. She’s just an empty sieve which can’t even speak when her teleprompter freezes, so who knows, maybe her brain trust will double down on climate stupidity and discredit themselves better than Trump ever could.

I’ll just be glad when this is all over.

Anyone could do well just by opposing everything the Deep State wants.

He thinks tariffs are not taxes and actually lower prices. I would have thought it was hard to be that dumb about economics, but Biden kept and increased his tariffs, and now trump wants 20% tariffs on everything. At least he doesn’t want price controls on food.

He kept Fauci and Birx on and did not stop them from pushing all their awful COVID lockown policies and giving cover to governors who were eager for anything they could do to embarrass Trump. He didn’t veto spending bills, which would have forced Congress to own them. These were some incredibly simple steps he could have taken, on his own, but didn’t. Then there was the bump stock ban, a knee-jerk non-solution to a mad man shooting up Las Vegas, which he didn’t need to do but did.

He was better than Obama was, better than Hillary would have been, better than Biden was, will be better than Harris could possibly be. But he’s still an ignoramus.

Typical trollop comment.
No citations, no links, utter BS lame insinuation.

Trump incorporated has not filed for bankruptcy internationally.
Only individual companies under Trump franchise or management deals.

Just because someone was wealthy enough to get loans to own their piece of the Trump enterprise, doesn’t mean they run it properly.
They end up filing for bankruptcy. Or more likely, Trump inc. files for bankruptcy of that unit.

That allows Trump inc. to install a new manager, clean up the property, clean up debts; i.e., do their best to re-energize a branch/hotel/golf course/whatever of the long list of Trump businesses.

In fact, everyone should be encouraged to look up their favorite Trump Bankruptcy.
By the way, Most bankruptcies under the Trump banner are chapter 11.

I personally put it in the scanner. From there it automatically goes into a drop box.

Beyond that, I can not verify a thing. I can’t look up my vote online. Nada.

The basic premise is that people are honest. Most are. The faith is that the dishonest get caught.

Bottom line, I can’t prevent anything.

Security is never perfect. Someone with the technical skills and a blind eye from those around him can do something.

He would have to find a specific ballot and have another with the same ballot number. He would then have to alter the scan records.

It is extremely unlikely that he could do all of this without getting caught, but it is not impossible. If he was successful, I would never know. That said, to do this on a scale that would be impactful would take much time and the longer he is at it the more likely he would get caught.

If it did happen, it is problematic to restore the original ballots and votes.

Perfection is unobtainium, but what he have in place today is much improved over 2020.

Great that you are backing people who kill pets.

And take a 10 man team to do it.

We expect nothing else…

… you really are sick in the head, aren’t you !

Pure projection and a valid conclusion.

karlo have you seen the video of three different speeches superimposed over each other? Exactly the same words, inflection, timing, gestures, etc. It’s eerie.

No, not a surprise considering how wedded she is to the teleprompter, and the staff are numtpies that rehash and reuse the same text.

Green issues will only elect Trump IF the “Woke” left actually wake up and realize they’re being fed from the trough of the Biden/Harris’ outhouse and don’t want to continue dining from the Harris/Walz trough.

But will they? After all the freebies they have been given. If it is not vote buying, I’d like to know what else it could be. Consider the timing.

The camel’s hump

The camel’s hump
The tyrant’s dump
A kosher haggis
Served in Paris

Here’s the menu
To upend you
Meat and soya
Munch and Goya

Come all ya hairy’s
And on old rumps
Just watch the show
With vertigo

That cute Koala
What a palaver!
Sprays urine on
Godfather Don

Those narrowed lips
Launch thousand ships
And business swells
In seven hells

On Gina’s side
There’s no divide
United Reich
What’s not to like?

Trump the stump
Dump the frump
Ride the camel
Dressed in flannel

On Afric’s shore
We’ll keep ‘em poor
For all ‘em races
Load the bases

Electric cars
And flights to Mars
A plate of chips
A sea of ships

The rising sun
What’s to be done?
Our rise and fall
Our alter call

Socialism or
Solipsism?
Don’t give too much
You’ll lose your touch

The dude, the babe
The land of Abe
The babe, the dude
In solitude

Bonnie and Clyde
Nowhere to hide
November’s choice
A phantom voice

The media loves to conflate voter fraud with election fraud calling both voter fraud.
There was voter fraud, but no more so than in prior elections.
In 2020 there was significant election fraud, as defined in the various State election laws as a violation of those laws.
The election fraud may or may not have affected the outcome. Ask 100 people for their opinions on this and you get 1142 opinions expressed. The sad fact is the courts refused to review most of the claims because the lawyers lacked “standing” so the cases were never adjudicated.
In Georgia a judge agreed to hear the case but since his docket was full he would have to assign it to another judge. The case was assigned 30 days after Georgia certified the election. Make of that what you will.
When the election rules are altered in real time without consent of the legislature, it is fraud and it does not matter if a judge ruled on it. Mail in ballots with no postmarks? Ok. Count them. Election officials waiving the signature verification because the backlog was piling up? No contest.

Sad to watch the decline of this country. Even sadder is I was unable to provide my kids with a better country than what I grew up in.

The country went woke and now it is broke.
