There you have it: an expert is opinionated person, while Joe Blogs only knows the facts.

I used to enjoy Scott Adams’ humor, but then a majority of experts said he wasn’t funny anymore. I had to go with the consensus. Shoulda done my own research!
That is the problem around here. So many people are such contrarians who refuse to recognize the greatness of the great expert right in your midst. You would be so much better off if you just did as you are instructed.

Less than two weeks prior, a shooter targeted Black shoppers at a supermarket in Buffalo, New York, killing 10 and injuring three more.
For leftists, when all else fails, fall back on charges of racism.

You don’t need to be a rocket scientist to know when you are being lied to. It helps to not have “skin in the game”, and not have emotional attachment to one side or the other.
If there was a smart government in the world (there is not)….it would start producing cheap abundant electric power from Thorium Liquid Salts Cooled Reactors….it would not recognize any CO2 climate warming unless proven….it would not subsidize EVs.
I may not be an expert, but I do know that if the car I’m considering buying doesn’t have 4 wheels it’s not going to get me anywhere no matter the salesman says.
I have been on juries in trials in which each side brought their set of expert witnesses. Still ended up trying to figure out what happened, and why. Best done by disregarding the expert testimony.
Consensus is politics, literally.
