Claire Carlson, a senior studying geoscience, environmental science and business at UI from Ottumwa had joined friends from the Environmental Science Club at the rally. “Its nice to finally see a large group of people come together and address the problem,” she said. “I think Greta’s done a really good job of bringing a voice to that especially at a really young age. I think it means that more people are starting to understand the need for impactful legislation with regards to climate change.”
Carlson, like her friend Emma Hartke, will be able to caucus next February for a Democratic candidate. “I think Elizabeth Warren has a really good plan for climate change,” said Hartke. Carlson favours the young mayor from South Bend, Indiana, Pete Buttigieg, but Warren is the name on most people’s lips when asked which way they’re currently leaning.
“There are still some centrists who like to play both sides on climate … such as Joe Biden,” said Derek Torres who has moved to Iowa City from Atlanta. “They always speak in terms of jobs … but if there’s no air or water there’s no jobs,” he reasoned.

I don’t think Biden is going to survive politically because of Ukraine.
Biden was put in charge of handling Ukraine by Obama in 2014, and we have all been hearing about the potential corruption Biden’s son might have been involved in, and from the sound of it there is something there.
But even more importantly, imo, is that Biden was handling Ukraine during the time the Obama administration was using Russian and Ukranian lies and distortions in an effort to undermine Trump’s 2016 campaign and subsequent presidency.
So what did Joe Biden know about the efforts to undermine the Trump campaign and was Biden directing this disinformation campaign against Trump using Ukranian and Russian assets?
All this information is going to come out soon and I don’t think any of it is going to be favorable to Joe Biden, or anyone else in the Obama administration including the top guy himself.
One way Trump can drain the swamp and all these leakers is to find all the Obama appointees to the various federal agencies and then reassign them to some harmless position. He can’t fire them without some hard evidence, but he can put them where they can not do harm.
You know that’s who is doing all this leaking. And more than likely they were put there for just that purpose. Just like the Obama administration relaxed the rules on classified information and allowed 17 intelligence agencies access to information they had not had before, thus increasing the number of Obama people enabled to see and leak classified information harmful to Trump.
This whole fiasco is a setup by the Obama administration in cahoots with Hillary Clinton and her Clinton mafia associates.
They did a pretty good job of it but not good enough. They were so sure they were going to win that they failed to cover their tracks sufficiently and it’s going to come back to bite them in the near future.
I see where Samantha Powers is talking about running for the U.S. Senate. First Powers is going to have to explain how and why she “unmasked” hundreds of American citizens while she was Obama’s Ambassdor to the United Nations. Why would a U.S ambassador be unmasking the objects of intelligence investigations? Powers will need to explain these actions, although I understand she claims she didn’t do this. If she did not, then someone did so in her name. She needs to explain this.
Biden is toast. Warren has been caught in another blatant lie. It looks like Hillary might be drafted at the Democrat Convention as the only viable candidate if things keep going like this! 🙂

The problem of people who supposedly have an education in science that think that legislation can have an impact on the climate system of a planet.
That is a very serious problem.
Why should anyone care about Biden? He’s just a washed-up American politician.
