The “Bern” Vows to Prosecute Oil & Gas Industry: Laws? We Don’t Need No Stinkin’ Laws!

Guest “it’s time to go full-Chevron on these greenhadists”!

BERNIE SANDERS WANTS TO PROSECUTE OIL AND NATURAL GAS COMPANIES, BUT DOESN’T KNOW WHAT LAWS THEY VIOLATED
AUGUST 27, 2019 | WILLIAM ALLISON

2020 Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders is out with yet another climate proposal, this time to prosecute fossil fuel executives for causing climate change.

[…]

The attack continues on his campaign website:

“Bernie promises to go further than any other presidential candidate in history to end the fossil fuel industry’s greed, including by making the industry pay for its pollution and prosecuting it for the damage it has caused.”

The problem? Sanders didn’t explain what laws these companies have broken. Spoiler alert: Providing affordable, reliable energy isn’t a crime anywhere, least of all in the United States.

But because Sanders personally doesn’t like what these companies do, he believes they should be taken to court.

We are living in an Earthly Paradise thanks to fossil fuels. Steven Pinker points out that globally, almost every metric of human well being is improving.

Bernie Sanders and his ilk are the enemies of humanity and should be prosecuted as such.

Do any of them ever think this through? What will happen if they criminalize oil execs? Who would take the job? No one would take the responsibility to run the companies, regardless of job title; the companies would shut down. Now how would Bernie travel from one of his houses to the next without petrol or jet fuel? And how many candles would it take to light those homes?

Well, of course he has no intention on doing any such thing. He is just playing to the stupidity of his followers (and gross stupidty is a requirement for being a follower). Unfortunately, the tens of millions in fly-over America are not stupid.

The only place Ole Bernie is going is home.

Reminds me of the old Soviet joke: Stalin is found alive and living in Siberia. They beg him to come back and save the country. After some persuasion he agrees, but adds, “This time, no more Mr. Nice Guy.”

You don’t need a law or justice. It’s an appeal to empathy. Social justice demands it. The established Pro-Choice quasi-religious/moral philosophy, selective, opportunistic, unprincipled, rationalizes it. Let us bray to mortal gods, that they may sequester unworthy carbon-based life, and redistribute the Green blight upon the land and water.

The organic black blob vs the anthropogenic green blight.

Glyphosate
There is rapid elimination, no biotransformation, and minimal tissue retention of glyphosate in various species, including mammals, birds, and fish.

Another warlock trial (e.g. trial by press and lawyer)? Unless they pay the social indulgence and pledge their allegiance, the black blob’s days are numbered. Oh, and sequester a carbon-based human life for good measure.

This would make a great disaster movie plot. An unstable president arrests the executives of all the oil companies, the industry collapses, unpaid workers walk off their jobs. Coal, oil and gas stop flowing. The country plunges into darkness and trucking, railroad and air traffic grinds to a halt. Chaos ensues. Citizens of large cities walk into the countryside in a futile search for food for their families, others turn to violence. Meanwhile the President and his henchmen live comfortable lives in their bunkers.
How else could this possibly play out?

Well, if anything like post-revolutionary USSR, political enemies are the first to be arrested, are ‘interrogated’ (read: tortured) to obtain a ‘confession’, then prosecuted in a (kangaroo) court-of-law, that is in fact creating law precedent as it prosecutes. This is how the socialists can/have/will again prosecute (persecute?) persons based on currently non-existent laws. The map was laid out from th early 1918’s through the mid 1930’s. Sentences of a minimum ten years (a ‘tenner’), up to death by firing squad were the norm then; as ardent as the left is today in regards to speaking of killing us based, scientific lot…what is there to stop them today? In the best case outcome, a string of work camps for those who escape death after trial, established to provide cheap labor to support the new government’s five-year plans.
Then come those that merely have spoken ill of the established government, following the above pattern. And all associated with every ‘subversive organization’s they may been affiliated with…and their families/associates/acquaintances as well. To trial with them all!
Then come the ‘wreckers’…..those in positions of decision-making and infrastructure management. As the five-year plans fail, the new government comes to find those whose decisions have ‘wrecked the plan’…and off to trial they go, as above.
Yes, this is the socialist way forward that the voting populace of America is ignorant of. Should they succeed in gaining a foothold in America, it will not proceed well..at first. Just remember the words of Japanse Fleet Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto:

“You cannot invade the mainland United States. There would be a rifle behind every blade of grass.”

Even if Yamamoto never said this, it is no less of a fact. If an election does go to the communists/Democratic Socialists, the populace would have a very short time for this quote to bear fruit (please note, this statement is not meant to advocate violence, unless required by extreme circumstances as the creators of the Constitution of the USA intended).

Has Bernie has considered the consequences of his idea ?

If such a proposal did become law it would put an abrupt end to a large percentage of global fossil fuel production and cause a global depression much larger than the 1930 experience. The only difference being this depression would have no means of economic recovery. Most likley it would result in a rapid 10% population reduction in the USA alone, meaning Bernie would be remembered in the pages of history for sanctioning the deaths of more people than any other any tyrant leader in the world’s history.

Serge,
“If such a proposal did become law it would put an abrupt end to a large percentage of global fossil fuel production and cause a global depression much larger than the 1930 experience.”
Indeed.
That is – in someone else’s words – a feature, not a bug.

Target global population varies between putative dictators – but it will certainly be south of a billion [and perhaps half that]. Current world population is about 7,700,000,000. [Source – https://www.worldometers.info/world-population/#top20 ]

And many allowed to live will be serfs or concubines for the illuminati [illuminated by a bright red light, I suppose . . .].

Bernie Sanders is the “Gift that Keeps on Giving.”
To Trump, the GOP, to Conservatives.

Even the Dumbocrats despise Bernie, becasue he’s not really a Democrat. He has only joined the Democratic Party during Presidential Primary Campaigns and then resigns afterward he’s defeated.
https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/bernie-sanders-leaves-the-democratic-party/

He only Caucuses with Senate Democrats as an Independent – Socialist. He has never run on the Socialist Party of America ticket because he knows that’s a Loser Ticket …. guaranteed.
But this time around for 2020, if Bernie gets the DNC prez nomination … Trump will wipe him away like Nixon did the socialist in hiding McGovern in 1972.

This is why I don’t believe that the left really cares about the environment. “The Bern” doesn’t care about the future of the rule of law. On every other issue the left chooses the me right now option. It is only on the environment that the left seems to cares about the distant future. I don’t believe them. I think they just talk about the environment to appeal to people of a right wing bent. That is why they don’t care that their leaders are so hypocritical on environmental issues. It’s because they don’t actually care about the environment.

This is why I don’t believe that the left really cares about the environment. The ‘Bern’ doesn’t care about the future of the rule of the law why would be care about the future of the environment. He doesn’t. It is why the left can tolerate their leaders flying to environment conferences. They don’t really care about the environment. The environmental issue was adopted by the left as a way to appeal to the right while promoting their other issues.

If one can prosecute those who knowingly cause damage, and Sanders destroys the oil industry in the U.S., driving up energy prices and plunging the country into recession, could one then prosecute Bernie Sanders?

Bought and paid for by Wall Street (Harriman Bro’s Prescott Bush) and Bank of England’s Norman Montague. Versailles debt payments were guaranteed by Hitler’s minister Hjalmar Schacht of the Bank of International Settlements, of labor camp infamy. Leading Keynesian Abba Lerner praised Schacht, publicly regretting it took Hitler to enforce it.
As The Bern is pushing Keynes on steroids, he ought to read the preamble to the first edition, in Germany, of Keynes’ famous tome :

“The theory of aggregate production, which is the point of the following book, nevertheless can be much easier adapted to the conditions of a totalitarian state than the theory of production and distribution of a given production put forth under conditions of free competition and a large degree of laissez-faire. This is one of the reasons that justifies the fact that I call my theory a general theory.”

There you have it in black and white.

If you are going to convict oil companies, then aren’t you going to convict the leftist union workers that profiteered from both the production and burning of those evil fossil fuels? And the society as a whole that benefited from the energy produced, and the increased quality of life? Well I don’t know about you, but I’m not going to sit here and listen to you bad mouth the united states of america! (animal house reference)

September 1, 2019 2:19 am

As regards totalitarian states – The Bern is pushing a GND with unlimited printing. This is so-called Modern Monetary Theory, MMT, based on Keynes . As The Bern is pushing Keynes on steroids, he ought to read the preamble to the first edition, in Germany in 1936, of Keynes’ famous tome, General Theory :

“The theory of aggregate production, which is the point of the following book, nevertheless can be much easier adapted to the conditions of a totalitarian state than the theory of production and distribution of a given production put forth under conditions of free competition and a large degree of laissez-faire. This is one of the reasons that justifies the fact that I call my theory a general theory.”

There you have it in black and white. Wrong mug-shot though. Lord John Maynard Keynes’ British efforts to push a Bancor instead of the Dollar after WWII, surfaced just last week again with the SHC (Synthetic Hegenomic Currency) of Bank.of England Carney, outside any elected gov’t.
So here we go again and The Bern I am completely sure has no clue what he is doing.

We need a New Bretton Woods right now to counter this onslaught.

And by the way it took FDR and Stalin to rid the world of that other totalitarian. The bankers did not get their Bancor, and spent billions over decades to take down the last remnants of Bretton Woods. The open move to totalitarian world currency, green liquidity, comes as their utterly bankrupt casino implodes. Situate Greta. Merkel, Bernie, AOC, Soros, Davos, Ursula, in this assault.

Bernie Sanders Promises to Erase Medical Debt
https://thebeardedpatriot.com/bernie-sanders-promises-to-erase-medical-debt/

While he is at it, maybe he can also erase all MORTGAGE debt, all CREDIT CARD debt, all PERSONAL LOAN debt, all CAR LOAN debt, all….

Sanders’s plan would cancel $81 billion in existing past-due medical debt, repeal parts of the 2005 Bankruptcy reform bill and ensure that unpaid medical bills do not impact one’s credit score.

This is not the first time Sanders has promised to erase debt across the board. He also proposed to cancel $1.6 trillion in student debt via the College For All Act, which would cost roughly $2 trillion. That is in addition to his $16 trillion Green New Deal proposal and his plans to implement Medicare for All, which could cost the U.S. anywhere from $32 trillion to $60 trillion over the next decade alone.

Who pays it? Bernie answers: there are those wall-integrated machines, whatsisitsname, ATMs. We just make more ATMs and the problem is solved. Now, it could cause a little bit of inflation and it could he you needed gold or something else internationally traded to buy bread after that, but in principle you could just print money and share it with people in det. Oviously. And they called Trump mad?

‘Bernie promises to go further than any other presidential candidate in history to end the fossil fuel industry’s greed, including by making the industry pay for its pollution and prosecuting it for the damage it has caused. ‘

This has less chances to be implemented than the great southern wall paid by Mexico, and more legal obstacles, but hey, who said Bernie was a nice bright young chap? In fact you can make industry pay for the damages it has caused. Bernie didn’t go into detail what is the damage in his legal theory, so maybe the promise can’t be broken.

Somebody ask him details and sink his ship. But not before we know if he’s gonna beat Biden.

Those who believe that the burning of fossil fuels is bad should stop making use of all goods and services that make use of fossil fuels for it is those people that make make use of goods and services that make use of fossil fuels that keep the fossil fuel companies in business. Mr. Sanders is one of these people. He is wearing clothes and eating food that has been transported by truck. He is being transported around by fossil fuel burning forms of transit. He enters buildings and walks on surfaces whose construction involved the use of fossil fuels. Electricity generated by the burning of fossil fuels has been an important part of Mr. Sanders’ political campaigns. Mr. Sanders has himself been doing quite a bit to keep the fossil fuel companies in business.
