XR UNGLUED – Cache of documents exposes green menace of the ‘Extinction Rebellion’ – #XRgate

From the “A miracle has occurred” department. It appears that the same people who are dumb enough to glue themselves to pavement to protest climate, apparently have no clue about online security of their own organization.

The 20-year-old climate change activist (left) who glued himself to the road lives with his parents in an emission-spewing five-bedroom mansion with an infinity pool

From what has been discoverd so far, it seems they ran their entire worldwide organization online, but apparently left all the document security settings “public”, so anyone can read them. The XR group seems completely oblivious to the fact that hundreds of their most secret internal documents are readable by anyone, anywhere in the world.

Almost ten years ago, we had Climategate, in which scientists were found to be playing fast and loose with data and techniques to achieve desired results in climate science. Now, it’s the activists turn with ‘XRGate’.

XR is mostly UK based, and UK journos have been looking at the publicly accessible documents. James Delingpole and Paul Homewood of the UK both have done investigative work. Excerpts of both articles they have written today are below.

First, Delingpole:

Exposed? Soros on List of Mega-Rich Extinction Rebellion Backers

An anonymous source claims to have extracted lots of documents from Extinction Rebellion’s computer database and has put them up online.

The documents, if genuine, seem to have been exposed through carelessness on the part of Extinction Rebellion, not a computer hack. Anyway, Paul Homewood has been filleting some of the best bits and here is what he has found.

If verified, this confirms Extinction Rebellion is disturbingly flush and well-funded: over £1 million raised this year, half of it still unspent, according to the documents.

Major donors are said to include — inevitably — George Soros; Vivienne Westwood’s son Joe Corre (the saucy underwear and dildo tycoon, worth $48 million); the European Climate Foundation (which funnels money from far-left American philanthropic foundations to European climate projects); Greenpeace; the far-left Tides Foundation; and a little known Swiss asset management company, called Furka Holdings, founded by a banker with Russian links, which gave £50,000.

Another of their previously revealed donors is the popular beat combo Radiohead.

Here are some of things that the eco-fascist protest group has achieved for its sponsors so far:

  • Prevented a man from saying goodbye to his dying father because their roadblock prevented him getting to hospital in time.
  • Exposed the police to ridicule after one officer was filmed skateboarding to show how down with the green kidz he was during a protest at which Extinction Rebellion had blocked an entire London bridge by turning it into a mini-Glastonbury.
  • Cost the taxpayer at least£16 million for extra policing, plus untold millions more for the cost of dealing with the 1200 Extinction Rebellion activists arrested in 11 days of protests.
  • Threatened to ruin the summer holidays of thousands of travellers with a plan (happily nixed) to use drones to shut down Heathrow Airport.
  • Cost London businesses upwards of £12 million in lost revenues.

Short of actually killing someone – they claim to be non-violent, though let’s see how long that one lasts – it’s hard to imagine what Extinction Rebellion could do that they haven’t done already to show what very nasty pieces of work they are.

So why would anyone wish to give such a wickedly unpleasant organisation money?

One reason, perhaps, is the gulf between how Extinction Rebellion presents its aims publicly and what it actually believes privately.

As was noted in a recent report by Richard Walton – former head of the Metropolitan Police’s Counter-Terrorism Command – Extinction Rebellion is a hard-left extremist organisation with anti-Semitic associations.

“Those encountering Extinction Rebellion should be under no illusions about just how destabilising and extremist their agenda is. Not only is it unclear how their three formal demands could realistically be satisfied, but also it appears unlikely that their actions would end even if government committed to trying to implement them. The words of Extinction Rebellion’s founders and its posts on social media make clear that the objective is system change. This means bringing down our existing democratic system—which several of the campaign’s leading figures hold in contempt—and causing rapid economic disaster for the country. The proponents of this course of action have no serious explanations for how the country would function if their demands were implemented.”

Is George Soros Funding Extinction Rebellion?

image

https://xrdump.home.blog/2019/07/27/the-dump/

An enterprising individual has got hold of a lot of documents from Extinction Rebellion’s computer database.

There are all sorts of files on show, containing so much detailed information that they must be genuine. Many contain details on tactics etc.

The one below caught my eye, particularly the third aim, which rather gives the lie to XR’s defenders who say that they are not a bunch of anarchists.

image
image

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1gN92NvQEAw4MJ5rNAf3kVIJtLcc3KDUJVVYHQjtB-9E/view

But the real thing I wanted to focus on is the funding side.

There is one spreadsheet file, which keeps track of fundraising projects:

image

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1V3iPUltW8MJBdILkmQJRrz4gR9AO46vqf0wWCiJwOJ8/edit#gid=0

And on the Team 2 tab, listing major donors, we find an entry for George Soros. Intriguingly, the amount has been blanked out, the only donation where this has happened.

One wonders what they want to hide, if the amount is to be kept secret even from their own staff!

In fact, XR are remarkably open about their financing, as their own website links to their list of bank transactions (see “our payments to date”:

And it continues, just this morning, another XR document, from “mikexr”, was made available by the anonymous source, and it is chilling. They plan to shut down airports in Europe with drones.

Excerpts:

Action proposal for “The European Pause”

This document is an action proposal to pause all flights from airports in Madrid, Paris and either Berlin or Frankfurt (TBD). This will start from October 10th. Dates, locations and other details are preliminary, but could change if new and preferable ideas are forthcoming. Following a 3 week expedition to Europe, speaking with activists to evaluate enthusiasm and probable capacity, the approach outlined below was devised. The strategy mirrors the Heathrow Pause proposal, with local modifications where necessary, and has the potential to cause major, effective disruption with modest numbers of activists.

I. Overview of proposed action

It is important to emphasise that this action is entirely peaceful and non-violent. There is no threat to aircraft, and therefore life, at any point. This is because no drone and aircraft will be in the same area at any time.  We pause flights by flying drones at head height in the vicinity of the airports before any plane approaches the airport, and thus the authorities are obliged to close the airspace; simply, we are there first. Safety is further embedded in every aspect of the action by the 9 safety rules listed in section III.

Step-by-step guide to pausing an airport’s operations:

Publicly declare plan to disrupt the airport a month ahead of time

Determine area in which drone flight of any height is entirely prohibited (this is between 1.5km and 8km radius, TBC by French and German land Spanish lawyers ASAP).

Recruit around 100 rebels per airport who are willing to go to jail

Provide full legal briefing, training, and as much legal support as possible to these rebels

Coordinate large-scale accompanying protests near to the airports, demonstrating broad support for significant disruption while showcasing the creativity and beauty of The European Pause through art, education etc.

On the first day of the pause, before first flights are scheduled, at least two rebels fly drones at head height within this exclusion zone. They then inform authorities of this and wait to be arrested. The airspace is now closed, as we were there first (as the authorities were informed a month ahead of).

To continue the pause, rebels then fly drones within the exclusion zone throughout the day. These rebels should be spread out in both where they operate and when they do so.

Continue until end of scheduled flights, and then repeat the following day.

II. Context of action

This action strategy is extremely efficient in terms of disruption and economic pressure on the authorities, compared to numbers of activists willing to go to jail per day – around 15-25 people to entirely close the airport.

We should therefore fully leverage this strategy whilst still possible. The window of opportunity for this action will be closed, by technological or other means; we just don’t know when.

The 2025 decarbonisation demand is based on the IPCC ‘10-12 years to save the world’ report, but applying principles of climate justice such that the global north and south decarbonise in a relatively just way.

Carbon neutrality by 2025 is a moderate demand, given that IPCC predictions are likely very conservative, yet we are on track to drastically overshoot targets across Europe.

Not meeting this demand likely ensures extinction of most life on Earth

We needs to show the climate movement to be truly pan-European; this is a perfect opportunity to show the true power of rebels outside the UK.

Psychologically, this will prompt fear of contagion by the authorities. The authorities may make unforced errors (e.g. attempts at disproportionate repression), fuelling blowback in the movements favour.

The European Pause’s Theory of Change draws on relevant data to see what works: open, accountable, mass participation civil disobedience; nonviolent actions that are respectful to everyone and involve personal sacrifice from participants; actions that build pressure through economic and social disruption. Actions that follow this model will lead to the necessary system change through our three Demands being met. We submit that this action proposal includes all these elements, and provides a way in which any wishing to act on the truth can do so.

This Heathrow action proposal opens up unique and major strategic possibilities. The peaceful use of drones leads to the closure of the airport. No other tactic can create such decisive economic disruption with the same reliability while being completely safe. In the face of such substantial but peaceful economic disruption, taken by people of obvious good conscience, the authorities are presented with a dilemma in how to react. It should be noted that a significant number of people have already shown interest in participating in this action.

The proposal thus incorporates two key features of successful rebellions: significant economic disruption, and either state capitulation or “filling the jails”. These outcomes will heighten pressure and change the national conversation (move the Overton Window). They will break the “Fear Barrier” identified in the Egyptian Revolution. When enough people are prepared to risk going to prison, they and others will have overcome the main obstacle to successful rebellion: fear. Fear is the way governments control people. Once the fear is gone, the way is clear for our three Demands to be met, and the necessary system change can take place.

Unfortunately, the data suggests that people being willing to go to prison is an essential part of bringing about the needed system change. We will ensure that those who are willing to go to prison will be supported in doing so. No one will be placed under any pressure to do this. We will help people to make informed decisions about their actions, asking them to consider best and worst case legal scenarios, and the impact on their personal lives. We will do our best to mitigate for power in all decision making processes and are open to ideas. We will also provide additional support to those from diverse backgrounds wishing to participate in this action in any way, and ensure the action includes a range of ways to engage and participate, not all of them arrestable/imprisonable.

NB. It is important to note and be aware that those coming from white and middle class backgrounds will likely have different / better experiences of the criminal justice system, as compared to people of colour and of lower socio-economic status.

IV. Reasons for timing of action
– Rebels from across Europe are already coming together for rebels without borders action
– It is expected that the Heathrow Pause on September 13th will drive up rebel participation for the European pause
– Can learn from Heathrow Pause to improve the European Pause.
– The authorities may find ways to counter this type of action (changing laws, prohibiting drones which can fly near airports etc), so this should be pursued with urgency.
– Pausing three airports simultaneously just 3 weeks after the Heathrow Pause will be significant pressure building
– Starting on 10th gives rebels 3 days to participate in the blockades, starting October 7th, before carrying out the action
– Having 3 days of blockade before the action builds substantial pressure on the authorities
o A variety of actions, such as the DLR action, contributed to success of the April rebellion. The media like variety and will ‘lose interest’ unless things change.

This is a developing story, there will be more coverage as journalists comb through the cache of documents.

Extinction Rebellion does seem to attract nutty characters. Check out this Rebel Media video report from from a recent EX gathering in the middle of Toronto:

Are we sure these plans are from XR? They seem very similar to the plans for de-industrialisation and ‘Year Zero’ of the Khmer Rouge / Pol Pot regime which led to the Genocide, or murder, of millions of Cambodians (an estimated quarter of their population). Also, very similar to Venezuela and the plans of Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn in the UK.

This is all rather boring and just shows them to the bunch amateurish fools they always appeared to be. Comparing them to genocidal dictators is pretty stupid. If we call everyone Pol Pot or Hitler we don’t get anywhere useful.

Nice to have documentary evidence but I would have $100 that Soros was a major funder before this came out. He was probably involved in creating XR.

it’s hard to imagine what Extinction Rebellion could do that they haven’t done already to show what very nasty pieces of work they are.

They are pretty stupid and irresponsible but “nasty pieces of work” ? Seriously? It’s not like the shot up the local Wallmart or anything.

They are just gullible fools who have been indoctrinated since kindergarten with climate BS and feel they need to do something. If I was old enough to see through the hype and fake science, I’d probably feel the need to do something too.

I would normally agree such comparisons can be unhelpful (and it was you who mentioned Hitler) but, in this case, XR leaders are calling for the collapse of democracy to set up their own “Citizen Assembly”. There is also a distinction between XR’s Champagne Socialist leaders and “the gullible fools” (as you put it) who follow them. In fact, there are reports in the UK that several of their followers have reported bullying and extremism by the leaders.
Pol Pot banned electricity, intellectuals, education and any technology (except for weapons) and the Government (Khmer Rouge) had to own and run everything (opposition was not allowed) they even murdered people who wore glasses, on the basis that if they could read, then they must have been intellectuals. If you look at XR plans, they are merely using CO2 emissions and environmental concerns (who isn’t concerned about their environment?) as a means of control, by bringing down the fossil fuel industry, leading to the demise of manufacturing and jobs. These people are very dangerous because they are misleading others who are genuinely concerned about the environment, but their real plans are for revolution, nationalisation, and the collapse of capitalism and Western democracy (Year Zero). Similar plans haven’t worked very well for Venezuela (which, until recently, the Labour party and the BBC in the UK were holding up as a model socialist democracy).
Here is a news report of an investigation of XR by a former UK anti-terror chief:

Yes and No, Greg.

Yes I do agree that the direct comparison between the sort of people gluing themselves to the street and genocidal dictators is a bit of a long stretch, but remember it wasn’t the genocidal dictators or their immediate circle who were the one’s roaming the streets doing the physical beating and window smashing during the rise to power. Correct, comparing these to the dictators is not helpful. Compare these Street Fodder thugs to 1930s German Street Fodder thugs on the other hand and things get a tad more disturbing.

As for your Wallmart comment? yeah… Probably not a good example for you to make to be honest as you are only going to be taking out of context. Are you suggesting that murdering people ONLY makes you a ‘nasty piece of work’?’ Nasty Pieces of Work’ are vindictive school bullies. Personally I would suggest that going on a shooting spree makes you are murdering disgrace to humanity to be held in contempt by all sane people and who must be punished to the full extent of the law.

Also let it be remembered that the brutal disgrace of a human who murdered 50 in New Zealand self described himself as an ‘Eco-Fascist’. Despite what the MSM want us to believe, massed murder for a misguided ideal can come from the Left.

The other point is when you are that deeply twisted in your rational thinking that you actually believe the methods of XR are justified then when do you stop? Many of these people honestly seem to believe they are attempting to save the planet from themselves. When your logic processes start to weigh the losses of a few against the long term gains of the many then where do you draw a moral line? What is to say that under the justification of ‘they will be dead anyone in 12 years if we don’t act now’ one of these XR drones DID decide to start shooting in a public space? Many of them seem to believe that they are at war with Capitalism and are fighting for the planet. What would be the deaths of dozens if you were trying to save the lives of billions?

I am not saying that XR are planning to go to such measures, and I am not saying that each and every one of them has a set of morals far removed from the rest of society, but I am saying to please be very careful what you casually compare things against.

The manifesto supposedly written by the alleged El Paso shooter fits quite nicely into the Extinction Rebellion. Quote:

“So the next logical step is to decrease thenumber of people in America using resources. If we get rid of enough people, then our way of life can become more sustainable.”

It’s a very small step from calls for destruction of society, Canadian’s Greens calling for no more than a world population of 500 million, and the like for a Progressive to jump from wishful thinking to will full action. Oh, and the El Paso shooter is best described as a Progressive Racist Socialist eerily matching the methods and objectives cited in Mein Kampf if one substitutes “Jews” in his manifesto. The common term for a Progressive Racist Socialist in the 1920’s was the National Socialist German Workers’ Party. Go read Jonah Goldberg’s book, Liberal Fascism (available at Amazon). The Greens and the Eco-Warriors share the same roots.

Don’t completely agree.

Anarchy is basically what happens when you allow COMPLETE freedom over fairness. You want? You do. There are no rules. Fairness doesn’t matter. No one has any authority.

Basically in many ways it is the ultimate expression of going Full Right (never go Full Right).

Now about now you are wondering if I have been reading the warning labels on my cold and flu medication correctly, but please bare with me. In life you can have Freedom or you can have Fair. You can be free to eat the last slice of pizza, but that is not fair on the person who hasn’t even had one yet. Problem is to be Fair you need to establish what is actually fair in context of the problem and define Rules. Of course the problem with rules is you then need someone to enforce them.

So the ‘fairer’ you get in a society the more you need to establish what fairness actually is and the more you need to enforce it. The more rules you have the less freedom you have to do whatever you want. So if you want a completely fair state where everyone gets 7.315 hours of sunlight and 1.1354 slices of pizza and 752.1189mm width of subway seating then you are going to get a state where any deviation from the authorised standard is rigidly enforced. Let’s, to coin a term, call it a Police State.

Fortunately for us most societies have discovered that going too far in either direction simply doesn’t work and societies that function establish their own workable balance that may not be completely fair or free, but at least works.

So where do these Mummy’s Boys exist when they are not glued to inanimate objects? They believe in ‘Fair’, but only the sort of ‘Fair’ that they themselves get to define. (What is fair? Another major problem with Police States). They cast themselves as the new police and, since they are unable to change the system by the usually accepted methods (cough – democracy – cough) they believe the system must be reformed by force. For it’s own good of course.

Point is that most so called Anarchists do not actually believe in true anarchy. They believe in rules, but only the rules they themselves get to write and police. Your rules (Please don’t misuse superglue. Please don’t disrupt traffic.) on the other hand can be safely ignored for the Greater Good.

XR are not freedom fighters. They are proto fascist street fodder being misused by Lefts who believe they should be in charge and don’t really care who gets trampled on in the process.

From the sound of it, these neophyte rebels don’t have a historical clue as to what happens during real rebellions. When the useful idiots, directed by a new mixed leadership representing “all the supporting partner organisations”, achieves anything like bringing down l’ancienne regime, the most vicious of the “partners” executes a coup, removing the silly pacifist leaders, replacing them with henchmen made of far sterner stuff.

The bringing down of the old Russian Czar was done “by the people” and six months the weak democracy that replaced it an easy coup victim of the Communist party.

Do these clowns really believe that they are not ripe for infiltration, manipulation and removal? Look at the citizens movement in Hong Kong. If some group “needs it to be violent” in order to justify the official response, the organisers will watch in dismay as the violent invade to take over the show. Look up “agents provacateurs”.

Social media is great for disrupting peaceful movements. Some of the protests in St Louis were organised by Russian manipulators using FaceBook only! That involved setting up on short notice, “spontaneous protests” both for and against police at the same location. The point is not to “fix something” it is to create chaos, within which the coup can be more easily executed as the dust settles. This is old school stuff.

All these techniques and principles have been used for over a century. XR members should read more to find out what sacrificial lambs they really are. Even Robespierre was eaten by his own.

However, history tells us that these totalitarian adventures end badly – with hundreds of millions of dead, destroyed economies and broken societies.

Extreme leftists Stalin, Hitler and Mao killed about 200 million people in the 20th Century, and lesser leftist dictators like Pol Pot and other Tin Pots killed many millions more.

When too much power is concentrated in the hands of too few, a psychopath typically seizes power and kills or imprisons everyone who opposes his madness. Stalin, Hitler, Mao and the other great killers of the 20th Century all fit this description.

Leftists… … think “it will be different this time” – it won’t.

XR is a British radical green group who were careless about concealing their documents – their Aims were recently published on wattsupwiththat.com – see below.

Their key falsehood is that they propose to “build structure, community and test prototypes in preparation for the coming structural collapse of the regimes of western “democracies” – now seen as inevitable due to stored up crisis.”

I suggest that their true intent, through the deliberate sabotage of our vital energy systems and increases in energy costs, is to CAUSE “the coming structural collapse of the regimes of the western democracies”.

I suggest that these people in the UK and their allies in Canada and the USA are traitors – saboteurs of our economies and enemies of our democracies, whose true intent is to destroy our fundamental freedoms.

Canada is already far down this road-to-disaster, as is most of Europe. Apparently the utter destruction of Venezuela as insufficient to alert Canadians and Europeans.

XR Aims
(The Media and Messaging Working Group is primarily responsible for this section)

The rebellion is aiming to do the following:

1. To show to radical people (and internationally) that it is possible to have an “impossible” plan and carry out a rebellion – however small (or large!) and thus increase the “Overton window” of acceptable discourse on the ecological crisis.

2. To create a national conversation about the ecological crisis and climate breakdown ¬ including that our families/communities/society and state are facing existential threat. This includes to discuss our demands with the government/ political parties (see below). Also to support further uprisings to demand change off the back of the door we open.

3. To build structure, community and test prototypes in preparation for the coming structural collapse of the regimes of western “democracies” – now seen as inevitable due to stored up crisis. Thus preparing a foundation to transform society and resist fascism / other extremes. This includes creating Rising from the Wreckage – a Citizens Assembly based on sortation.

Soros, especially, should become the subject of a criminal investigation under the US Racketeer Influenced Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO), as it has been Soros’s purpose for a long time to overthrow the various Western governments, including that of the United States, by various illegal and chaotic means (always through some other entities he bankrolls instead of himself, of course), so that he can profit on the currency manipulations he engages in as a business. These kinds of entities and Soros’s own businesses need to be SHUT DOWN.

Too late.

The idiocrats already have the MSM and popular culture on their side. The “existential threat” meme has been thoroughly absorbed, and is treated as incontrovertible “fact.” Skeptics and doubters are shamed, ridiculed, screamed at, and attacked- sometimes physically.

I would have to add to that list: the virtual totality of academia.

I have received several forwards from academic friends and relatives in non science fields of MSM reporting (NYT, CNN) of the study

Whether you trust scientists may depend on your political party, survey says

(my emphasis)
Apparently they assume a “scientific” study will convince me that my reluctance to accept that massive change in the face of unavoidable catastrophe is only a function of my choices in the voting booth. (Academic “consensus” had been their previous “go to” argument.)

I prepared a brief response that explained that neither trust, belief nor consensushad a place in science, but I realized my words would sail over their heads and instead responded with either of two quotes:
– “In God we trust, all others bring data” (with apologies to Jean Shepard who asked for cash)
– or the motto of the Royal Society “NULLIUS IN VERBA”. (driving them to their Latin-English dictionaries)

Are they really unarmed?

They are attacking an airport, airplanes and the passengers with drones. Those can and will cause the death of both citizens of the country and international civilians. Not to mention any emergency that present themselves as the events unfold.

Sortition: the action of selecting or determining something by the casting or drawing of lots.
Who is going to be eligible for selection for the Citizens Assembly.
I can guess those chosen will have to be ‘woke’ enough to be allowed to put themselves up for sortition.

My thought on XR’s attempts to impede LOndon’s public transportation and roads – when they have one scheduled as they do for September, UK Premier league FC teams should hold matches at the same time in the city. Let Manchester United and Liverpool FC fans deal with XR blocking the roads and Underground as they are want to do.

I wonder if their glue was plant based…wait even glue from petroleum is still plant based. I wonder if their glue was organic…wait no that doesn’t work either.

Based on that photo, they do seem to be using a lot of fossilized sourced material resources; that’s not very sustainable

Frankly, they could use that money to by their own island or plot of land somewhere and setup a community to live in “harmony” with nature; Soros would not give them money for that because harmony is not what Soros is about; nature is also not about harmony. I have met mountain lions and bears in the wild on the trail while hiking; no harmony happened.

A small group of people making noise and disrupting society to get attention for their ideology. These anarchists should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. To build structure, community, and test prototypes in preparation for the coming structural collapse of the regimes of western “democracies” – now seen as inevitable due to stored up crisis.

That’s OK. That’s what the preppers do.

What’s not OK is is trying to give civilization a shove over the cliff. It transforms prudence into treason and crimes against humanity.

Both countries, but especially the United Kingdom should initiate financial and tax investigations into the XR organization, Soros and other major donors and all of the spoiled brats.
a) Soros and other organizations funding terrorism. Impound all of their accounts immediately.
b) Spoiled brats spending XR cash without filing taxes.
c) Investigate the XR organization actively supporting terrorism. Seize all XR funds!

August 3, 2019 2:46 pm

– Cost the taxpayer at least£16 million for extra policing, plus untold millions more for the cost of dealing with the 1200 Extinction Rebellion activists arrested in 11 days of protests.
– Threatened to ruin the summer holidays of thousands of travellers with a plan (happily nixed) to use drones to shut down Heathrow Airport.
– Cost London businesses upwards of £12 million in lost revenues.

As the funding for this rabble is clearly documented XR can reimburse the UK taxpayer and affected London businesses for at least £30,000,000, and the UK democratic authorities should seize assets from XR donors. I would hope that such action has already begun?

This would not be a peaceful act. It is economic warfare.

They would be preventing the flow of good and services that saves lives. This would also not be good for reduced carbon emissions.

They should be considered a terrorist organization that has declared open war. Their bullets are drones. Those drones will cost people their lives either directly or indirectly as happens in any time there is a war. It is good they self identified as “rebels”. Rebels can be considered “enemy combatants” and shot under military action at the time of performing their military objectives . Airports are military and national security assets. This is not civil disobedience, this is a military campaign.

My two cents…

It is not the only way in which combatants are determined. This would happen in the UK so they would have to decide perhaps differently then how the courts/congress in the US played out (interesting Side Thought) on the idea of unlawful combatants. Not all combatants would be in standardized uniforms as the specific operational activities would determine the dress code for a particular mission. Geneva recognizes that in some military operations would require NOT being in uniform. Not a term favored in lot of places but perhaps they would fall into the “unlawful combatants” category.

The GCs in many regards is a bit antiqued with it’s 19th and 20th century idea of symmetrical warfare across established fields of battles and fronts. Not saying it can or should be ignored or disregarded but it does need to be updated to include 21st century warfare.

Actions and operational activities also identify combatants. Again Airports are military assets.

*The Side Thought*

Suppose they do carry out this attack and the unthinkable and unintended happens as the events of the day goes sideways and the blame can attributable to these self describe rebels and revolutionaries…how would this play into Brexit if the EU tells the UK what it can and cannot do to protect their civilization and citizens if something does go sideways.
