‘We have lost Australia for now,’ warns climate scientist in wake of election upset

The unexpected victory of conservatives in Australia’s election is bad news for the future of global climate action.

JOE ROMM MAY 18, 2019, 3:27 PM

“Australians elected someone who once brought a lump of coal into Parliament urging us to dismiss the warnings from climate scientists, and to dig up more coal instead,” Professor Stephan Lewandowsky, an Australian cognitive scientist, told ThinkProgress in an email. “There is little doubt that his government will do precisely that.”

We have lost Australia for now,” warned Penn State climatologist Michael Mann in an email.  “A coalition of a small number of bad actors now threaten the survivability of our species,” he said.

A sad day for the climate establishment – but a great day for the rest of us.

Hey Dr. Mann, where would “Lose credibility” belong in this Climate Science sequence?

Lose the raw temperature data.
Lose the decline.
LOSE THE EMAILS!!!
Lose Australia.

Upside down graphs.
Statistics that favour 1 series.
Aggressive denunciations over anyone who questions his results.
Refusal to comply with FOI requests.
Get journal editors fired.
Redefine what peer review means.

This man has a legacy.

What the climate cultists are increasingly finding is that whilst they can get dumb politicians and journalists to advocate to spend OTHER people’s money on the green non-science – particularly if it’s via a stealth tax that is hidden from voters like a “renewable obligation” – what the climate cult can’t do, despite the biggest advertising campaign in human history through the likes the Biased Corp, is to persuade people to spend their OWN money on the non-science.

“A coalition of a small number of bad actors now threaten the survivability of our species,” he said. Yes, that species being specifically that of transfiguratum caeli mendacibus (scurrilous climate liars). Their end is nigh.

Whatever else you can say about climate ‘science ‘, it does seems to attract people who combine a thin skin with a massive ego not supported by their actual ability.
While there is something about these two, that whenever they claim something is ‘bad’ you are inclined to think that in reality this not A ‘bad thing ‘, whereas what be ‘good’ for them would be ‘bad news’ for most others .

The labor Party’s only hope of winning an election is to invest heavily in the cause of Alzheimer’s disease and infect all of Australia with it.

If only south Australia would build a nuclear power stations… Olympic Dam reserves….we could network the country with cheap power for centuries. With our flat geologically stable, sparsely populated country, take all the waste from other countries that have bought uranium from us… $$$$$$$$. we’ll be rolling in it.

From the article: “We have lost Australia for now,” warned Penn State climatologist Michael Mann in an email. “A coalition of a small number of bad actors now threaten the survivability of our species,” he said.”

The small number of bad actors in this story are called the Climategate Charlatans. Those Bastardizers of Historic Temperature Data who have dreamed up this CAGW fraud and have scared people into doing some really insane things in the name of saving the planet from CO2.

What a fiasco this has become!

One positive: When Michael Mann is complaining that’s a good sign.

Indeed if Mann is against it, than you know the voters made the right choice.

Speaking of “bad actors”, Mann plays the part of a scientist – poorly. But I see the hook coming out now from the wings.

For now? What does that mean? Didn’t we have just a few years to avoid climate catastrophe? What do they expect to do once Australia gets a “proper” climate alarmist government, several years from now, when climate catastrophe will have become “unavoidable”?

Let me guess: in 4/8 years time we will still be “a few years” far from catastrophe. Right?

So Mr Mann if Australia stopped all emissions tomorrow exactly how much cooler would the earths temp be , how many cyclones and hurricanes will be avoided and what about droughts does it mean there will be no more ?

I always thought that science was not about “losing” anything at all. I thought it was about asking questions, doing experiments, making observations and trying to get to the truth.

The quotes above demonstrate how the CAGW hypothesis has morphed into a political, ideological and eco-religious doctrine. The hypothesis is merely a pretext for political and eco-activist power, control and money. Anybody who understands science should easily notice this. It is unfortunate that there are so many out there who don’t.

Well, we now know that Mann is math challenged. Whatever Australia does will have no significant effect on anything. And that small group of leaders leding the world awry will not be in power for the next 85 years.
Mann demonstrates sheer incompetence every time he opens his ignorant mouth
