Near the end, Samuel Miller McDonald said, “I feel most hopeful when I remind myself how bad humans have been about predicting the future.” So, his helpful suggestion is to hope they are wrong. Shouldn’t a Psychologist like Dr. Steffi’ be concerned about reducing anxiety not reinforcing it. If these children are Britain’s future I feel sorry for the poor buggers living there.
Mr. McDo hit the nail on the head. Maybe he does not know that the models which are causing him so much anxiety have also proved pretty bad about predicting the future.
Maybe someone needs to give him the good news.

This looks like a parody video which is pure irony as it’s meant to make something real. The three scruffy beard kiddies look absolutely silly when attempting to appear anxious in the close-ups. How many takes were needed to get this no acting talent result.
Oh God, not more whiny, deluded, fraudulently-educated, affluent, hypocritical, pseudo-eco-idealists!
Save me from them. Save the world from THEM.

LOL! If you are suffering the cure is to simply think for yourself and you will realize that CO2 does not cause catastrophic climate change and you are being lied to…
A review of US opinion polling on ranking the most important issues of the day, climate change typically comes in somewhere between 2nd most important all the way down to not even mentioned at all. In most polls the number of people listing climate change per se as an issue it polls at around 4 to 8 percent.
“The environment” generally may or may not even make a listing of concerns, but of course that includes a whole lot more than just climate change. Results are all over the map.
For most people the biggest concerns are the economy, government, health care, immigration, jobs, etc.
Doesn’t appear that climate change is driving a whole lot of social anxiety amongst the general population, despite the incessant harangues from the media and entertainment world trying to make us all feel guilty and scared.
I struggle to find much to get anxious about climate wise. The world seems to be chugging along as it ever has in the timy slice of time I get to observe it. Nobody has made a plausible case outside of a computer model that anything much is happening.
I marvel at the hysteria and drama now assigned to every weather weather event, as it becomes a portent of doom, again. People are such snowflakes these days it not surprising that they actually believe in climate armageddon given the forced feeding they get every day.

To help those with climate anxiety, it might help to sing the blues, so I made up the beginnings of a song – just two verses with the chorus, but you get the idea:
THE CLIMATE BLUES
Wellll, it rained so bad the other day,
I thought it would never stop,
It rained until I thought I’d cry
But instead I just had a lolipop
Oh this climate it’s making me crazy
Oh so very crazy
It’s gotten so bad I just want to die
I’ve got those darn Climate Blues!
The fires they are a ragin’
They eat everything in sight
If they keep on going on this way
There will be nothing but death and blight
Oh this climate it’s making me crazy
Oh so very crazy
It’s gotten so bad I just want to die
I’ve got those darn Climate Blues!

They actually suffer from the guilt of using fossil fuels every day, but have repressed it. If they get in touch with their own hypocrisy then they lose the morally superior feeling they crave. Their shallow psyches must be protected by a strong sense of entitlement.

Plus, they figure that unless everyone agrees with them, then they themselves need to make no personal sacrifices (lead humble, low carbon lifestyles) because climate skeptics. Do as I say, not as i do.

this video is really scary. The alarmists are causing real day to day damage to vulnerable people. Why cannot they be held responsible for this rubbish?
As long as people think life is a real disaster movie then this is what we’re going to be dealing with. Since the states closed their mental institutions those that at one time would have been committed walk among us. And now some of them are even being elected to congress. This despite the fact that the human condition on this planet is better than it ever has been and been improving consistently and that could not have happened without fossil fuels.
I’m not going to wring my hands and lament about how sad it all is because over time they have progressed from being amusing to a threat to my very way of life, my nation, and the potential prosperity of my offspring in the future.
Perhaps it is because I am just finishing up a read of the US Army Green Book on the Normandy campaign that describes the horrendous fight in the Bocage country? One cannot study such events and not think about how the people of Europe and now, here, are frittering away the liberties so many fought, suffered, and died for that I have reached the point where this describes my current attitude towards climate change fools and those that control them:
I’m almost there too. For decades we have been treated with climate doomsday prophecies on a daily basis, and now this strategy finally begins to pay off. The newest element in this strategy is the so-called “sacred activism” which serves like a wrench thrown into a machine. Children like Greta serve as the wrench. I like to imagine that those children wake up to the fact that they’re being used, but that’s improbable since they’re applauded by high-ranking politicians, teachers, their parents. It’s more plausible for those, who feel they have no future and are deeply convinced of who the culprits are, will at some point have no tolerance at all towards the perceived guilty of climate doom. And that’s why I think that it’s better to be mentally prepared to protect oneself, if necessary in the spirit which Conan suggests.

Haven’t these alarmists forgotten that the UN in 1989 claimed that if we didn’t start taking serious measures against climate change, the planet would be facing an irreparable environmental catastrophe by 2000? So here we are 30 years after that prediction, and somehow world agricultural production and the global population have managed to keep on growing. Now the most recent UN prediction for the point of no return is 2030, so that means, based on their last prognostication, we can stop worrying until 2049. Thank God because I can relax for the next three decades!

Comparing a comet to CO2? This is very sad in many ways.
I used to suffer from climate change anxiety, feeling guilty about driving my old diesel pick-up truck just for the fun of it, e.g taking my dogs for a hike on the hills.
It was a big relief for me after investigating the problem and finding that there really is no man made climate change.
No, I’m having great laugh poking fun at all the stupidity spewed out by cAGW advocates as they come out with evermore stupid BS about ‘global warming’… er ‘Climate Change™’ …err ‘weather weirding’, or what ever they call it this week.
I always like to remind cAGW advocates (aka non-thinkers, reciters of catastrophic fantasies) that in 1666 London in the depths of the LIA had one of the hottest summers recorded (by Samuel Pepys and others). So too was it hot across Europe, with a persistent drought. Eventually London and many other European towns suffered great fires. However once the summer heat was over, the winter came back with it’s usual LIA frosty ferocity, and rivers across Europe froze.
Of course 1666 was not all bad news, on October 25 Brandenburg, Brunswick, Denmark and The Netherlands formed an anti-French Quadruple Alliance. 🙂
Are you suffering from existential dread promoted by the BBC? well watch this new video and start feeling anxious about people mistreating each other out of fear and panic too.

Cartoonist and political philosopher Scott Adams of Dilbert fame nailed it when he said all this stuff falls under the rubric of “persuasion” and “framing.” People who watch lefty cable news or the Beeb are constantly exposed to manufactured hysteria about perfectly normal events. My own mother, who has certainly lived long enough to know better, even now believes that hurricanes, tornadoes, snowstorms, etc. are something “unprecedented,” “abnormal” and portents of doom because The Weather Channel says so. It’s a warping of reason caused by Authority Figures repeating, over and over ad nauseum, the idea that “all right-thinking educated people” must necessarily view events through this catastrophic frame. If it’s on TV, it must be true!
I believe most of the drama is played strictly for clicks. Think about how boring the weather reports used to be; 50% chance of rain tomorrow, meh. But frame that same forecast as “potential for historical, unprecedented, terrifying devastation and DEATH!!” and you’ve got them by the brain stem. These companies exist to make a profit on advertising, and they know exactly what they’re doing. Unfortunately, the public is now addicted to the constant overstimulation, and news without breathless hysteria won’t hold their attention. Hence, endless breathless hysteria–even about “problems” wholly lacking in empirical evidence.
It is a crime to take advantage of the emotional disability of those three young people to promote climate alarmism. Climate Change Anxiety is a disability! An irrational emotional reaction to the constant drumbeat of global disaster being spread for political purposes, with the aid of the BBC.
Exploiting the emotional illnesses of people for advocacy purposes (not intended to help the victims) is a violation of medical ethics.

‘Vulnerable people’ aka cosseted intellectually lazy 1st World idiots.
These are vulnerable people:

I’m not referring to the individuals in the video, for all I know they could be actors.
Only when they’re talking about taxes and electricity prices.
I’m suffering from anxiety due to the forces of neo-marxism taking over the West. Do they have a video for that?

This is a man, I truly believe, who hopes for mass destruction and death every time a hurricane looks like it will make landfall.
It’s a doom cult, CAGW
