French President Emmanuel Macron has launched a new website which offers senior US climate researchers up to €1.5 Million (almost USD $1.7 million) each to move to France. My question to US climate scientists – what are you waiting for?

French President Emmanuel Macron this week launched a website which aims to encourage US scientists and researchers frustrated with President Donald Trump’s position on climate change to move to France.
The website “Make Our Planet Great Again” was a clear dig at Trump and his June 1 announcement that he would withdraw the United States from the Paris climate agreement, but also made good on an appeal Macron made back in February.
The website said senior university faculty members, but also junior researchers and PhD candidates, were eligible to move to France to work on climate change, earth system science or energy transition projects, promising generous financing and help with moving to the country.
It said senior researchers could apply for grants up €1.5 million, which would cover researchers’ salaries, as well as compensation for additional staff and work expenses. Junior researchers could apply for grants of up to €1 million.
“There is no restriction on your husband / wife working in France,” the site reassured scientists, adding: “If you have children, note that French public schools are free, and the tuition fees of universities and “grandes écoles” [highly competitive French universities] are very low compared to the American system.”

This decision is unfortunate but it only reinforced our determination. Don’t let it weaken yours.

The offer seems genuine. €1.5 Million is serious money, just under USD 1.7 million. The offer for junior researchers is also very generous. I don’t know how many positions are open, so if you are thinking of accepting President Macron’s offer, best to get in quickly.
Paris is an expensive city, but there are plenty of much less expensive French cities which host serious grandes écoles institutions.
France is a socialist nation, with a powerful government. But they also have a strong tradition of liberty, which tends to temper government excesses.
Research your new home carefully. Like many countries France has towns and suburbs blighted by crime. But there are also many beautiful places to live, far away from the chaos and violence in the trouble spots.
Anyone who makes the move will likely be treated as a celebrity. The French love their celebrities.
With about 3000 climate scientists and their ilk decamping to France this will cost roundabout a cool 4 billion dollars. Loose change for France?
Is he offering the same sum to move in the opposite direction?
There is one small problem. Americans are monoligualists. Mostly.
One thing we know for sure naturbaumeister is that
they don’t speak science fundamentals.
These American climatologists have lost their scientific ethics by becoming radical scaremongers, ardent promoters of the doctrine of anthropogenic climate warming, which Trump understood well, and thus their fat subsidies are threatened, which is good news for American taxpayers. But it is stupid to bring to France, at the expense of the taxpayers, these devious scientists … We already have ours …
You would think at least 97% of them would go.
….and then the small print… all payments will be received in 2100 prorated to warming prevented based on the current warming rate.
I think they know there is no money in France. So takeup will be ZERO!
Please take ALL our god-professors. Europe is where they originated.
This is ingenious. What better way to get rid of a bunch of charlatans by not only having them move to France; thereby ridding the parasites to their deserved fate, but also that they can participate in all the various culture attractions that France now has to offer – migrant riots, terrorists attacks and muslim dominated no-go-zones. Hellooooo!
Don’t let the door hit you on the way out.
We must remember that France has Nuclear electricity generation. So they can carry on about what other economies should do to shut down their fossel fuel generaters. and to instead use inefficient wind and solar. This gives the French a big economic advantage regarding making and exporting goods. Crafty people the French.

The largest and main and true cause of climate change on all planets is interaction between the planet and the sun, how? For this we have the evidence that is worth more than all the money that offers Macron !!

It isn’t? What then? Even the US was having Socialist tendencies. The EU and its’ members are turning more an more Socialist. Socialism isn’t a dirty word so spare me the definition rant.
Whether a globalist government or a mender of the elite bait scientific compliance with big salaries , it will not produce compliance from Mother Earth controlled reality which seems to remain rather non compliant with their agendas

I doubt many would take this offer. The rabid CAGW “senior scientist” is basically an anarchist, nothing more. There wouldn’t be much reason to cry and scream when you wouldn’t be noticed because everyone is crying and screaming the sky is falling and your antics wouldn’t be much noticed. Preaching to choir isn’t very fun or satisfying.
