As more allegations come forward from other women, it looks as if the railway engineer turned fake Nobel Laureate is about to have a train wreck far beyond his resignation from the IPCC. Nonplussed, the IPCC goes into bunker mode and treats Patchy’s pants issue as if it didn’t exist at all. Even some veteran climate reporters who have reported on the IPCC in the past are now raising eyebrows:

Today, he finally exited the stage. In true Pachauri fashion, his resignation letter is a two-page love letter to himself. You wouldn’t know that recent allegations of sexual assault, stalking, harassment, and uttering threats suggest strongly that he is a longtime sexual predator.
Meanwhile, the world awaits the inevitable mug shot and the perp walk.

“A lawyer for Mr. Pachauri said his client “denies all allegations against him.” The lawyer, Shankh Sengupta, said Mr. Pachauri has told investigators that his email and other accounts “were hacked and/or misused,” and that any inappropriate messages the woman believes were from him were in fact sent by someone else”
OK. It wasn’t me!.
But then this:
“Police are investigating the complaint, in which the young woman describes herself as a research associate at TERI and says Mr. Pachauri made “repeated and constant requests to have a romantic and physical relationship.” She told the police: “I told Dr. Pachauri that I was not interested in any such relationship with him on countless occasions, but he refused to give up.”
The police complaint includes roughly 20 pages of emails, text messages and WhatsApp conversations allegedly between the two. Several of the alleged emails are in the form of poems.”
That’s an awful lot of hacked communications.

The guy is 74 and his targets are in their twenties. I think his pants have less to do with it than his world stage megalomania. He was probably blown away when the young women wouldn’t go for the mighty one’s proposition.
The UN has a longstanding policy on sex abuse – and on not admitting it.
Seems to me that Patchy & Al Gore have more in common than a Nobel prize…..
