Free Aussie money for all – so long as you can claim to be a representative of an “underrepresented group”.

If you do get lucky and score some free climate holiday cash for the Fiji holiday, my advice is don’t go walkabout in Fiji’s capital city Suva, it is the most dangerous place I’ve ever visited. Fiji has a serious problem with drug addiction to Kava.
But the resorts are protected by armed guards, and the people who run those resorts ensure visitors who stay on the premises only see the best of what Fiji has to offer.
The Turkish holiday sounds like much more fun. I have a friend who has a holiday home in Antalya, he says it’s like the Gold Coast in Australia – lots of bars, beaches, and parties, and a low risk of violent crime. I’ve only been to Istanbul, I’ve never visited Antalya, but Istanbul is reasonably safe, at least it was last time I visited. Obviously things will be pretty crazy during the climate conference. And Antalya is a one day fast boat ride from troubled places like Syria and Lebanon, so there may be some additional risks during the climate conference.
If any of you do get lucky with the grant money, please write up your experiences for WUWT – we’d all love to hear the full absurdity of how Aussie taxpayer’s money is being wasted on the climate scam.
I’m certain that Climate Realists are definitely an Underrepresented Group at these events.
I was born in the USA, 5th generation California Native, but I self identify as a 1st nation Australian Aboriginal. Can I get a Flight and a Room in Fiji for the week?
Yes, even if you are blonde haired and blue eyed.
My uncle is Aboriginal, I’ll ask him to induct you into the tribe. When he finishes laughing you’ll be good.
And the fraud, waste, and abuse continues.
When the oldies here in the PNW were protesting Musk and DOGE, I was tempted to make my own signs “We LOVE Fraud, Waste, and Abuse!” and slip into the crowd.
One other critical line item that was omitted in the instructions section
“Eligibility > You can’t apply if you are:” –
a) a person who is now, or has ever been, a visitor to WattsUpWithThat;
b) a commenter who has ever received a “+” upvote at WattsUpWithThat.
Now, I admit to having given Nick an upvote or 2 on occasion, so obviously Nick won’t be an attendee at the gabfest.
Sorry Nick 🙂
Can you get separate rooms for your wife and your girl friend?
Only one girlfriend? You need to up your game, mate.
Just asking for a friend.
And what about your other wives?
I wonder if the ethnic and cultural grievance hustle rotates in the opposite direction in the Southern Hemisphere.
either way….its all down the drain
State-sponsored racism.
if its against whitey? its never racist
Well, the Climate Sceptic is the underrepresented group par excellance. What stops us?
Shades of USAID. Politicians today are adept at hiding funds to be spent on their initiatives that don’t help their constituents. Since I don’t trust voting anywhere in the world today the UK is stuck with this madness.
My wife and I visited Fiji more than 20 years ago. We stayed in Suva for several days. I did notice what I thought was drug use. The biggest problem in Suva that I noticed was the hatred of the natives to the Indian merchants who seem to have a lock on businesses of all types. Why the Fijians were not in many businesses I could only guess at and my guess was probably politically not approved by the woke crowd.
Anyway, the resorts were much nicer like the Cousteau resort and some of the private islands.
Anyway Bowen From an American point of view is absolutely devoid of critical thinking, objectivity and actually examining evidence of climate and weather.
As I have mentioned I lived in Sydney for almost 5 years in the 90s. Things did seem more sane then than they appear today from what I read.
The drug is kava, nasty stuff.
In early colonial days, Australian company CSR planted sugar-cane and made sugar for export and the natives, tribal and pre-industrial, would not work for them so they imported Indian workers.
Fiji forbade foreigners any land so Indians, coming from a complex civilisation used all their business acumen to survive outside the canefields. The ethnic hatred is hereditary
Canada is almost as bad when it comes to funding these climate/environmental get-togethers; in fact, it’s known to consistently send some of the largest delegations to the COPs in recent years. Yet it has barely made a dent in its emissions, nor are the delegates required to provide any proof that they’ve accomplished anything by attending. One thing’s a guarantee: they all travel by air, so they’re doing the part to raise emissions. In addition, they’re wasting tax dollars to achieve nothing.
This is what happens when you put group rights ahead of individual rights. It’s a bad thing.
This is first-class reporting. Nothing in the mainstream media has given even a remote mention of this waste of public money.
Have you offered this story to any of the media in Australia? Could you please do so, all the taxpayers deserve to know about it.
Sky has covered it, but none of the FTA networks, especially the ABC, or the Nine newspapers, will touch it with a barge pole.
ive posted it to X and the aussies there WILL pick it up ;-))
msm will maybe…run a snip in a week or to maybe…
oh must email PAULINE that ll do it 😉
In addition to the mind-numbingly boring “Save the Planet” harangues, will they also be required to attend a 90-to-120-minute timeshare or vacation club sales presentation?
I think listening to Turkey’s President Erdogan drone on about how climate change is Israel’s fault, or having to shake Bowen’s hand, would be the difficult bits.
Reading between the lines -“old white farts not acceptable.”
wouldnt go to turkey they tend to poison shoot maim all the dogs before major tourist events like the fifa shite and other because neutering and decent humane shelters arent their style!
