Biden-Harris Admin Launches ‘Environmental Justice’ Jobs Training Program

From THE DAILY CALLER

Nick Pope
Contributor

The Biden-Harris administration announced on Wednesday that it is establishing a taxpayer-funded “environmental justice” jobs training program.

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), in conjunction with AmeriCorps, is creating the “Environmental Justice Climate Corps,” a $25 million program designed to “open doors” for people seeking careers in “environmental justice,” which is essentially the combination of left-wing social justice ideology and environmentalism. The initiative announced Wednesday is part of the administration’s American Climate Corps program, which the White House established via executive action after it failed to make it into what eventually became the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), President Joe Biden’s signature climate law.

The Environmental Justice Climate Corps “will put more than 250 American Climate Corps members to work over the next three years providing technical assistance to community-based organizations in environmental justice communities – helping them access resources to carry out locally driven projects that reduce pollution, increase community climate resilience, improve public health and safety, and build community capacity to address environmental and climate justice challenges,” according to the White House. Participants will receive an allowance that equates to a wage of roughly $25 per hour, and they will also be reimbursed for some living expenses. (RELATED: EXCLUSIVE: GOP Lawmakers Demand Answers From Biden Admin On Massive Grants For ‘Environmental Justice’ Program)

“Our partnership is a first-of-its-kind effort within the federal government to expand pathways into environmental justice careers,” EPA Administrator Michael Regan said of the new program. “This program will create opportunities for young people through President Biden’s American Climate Corps that will help folks in overburdened communities access and benefit from historic funding secured under the President’s Investing in America agenda.”

Regan and AmeriCorps CEO Michael Smith will talk about the new program during an upcoming panel discussion at Climate Week New York City, a week-long summit attended by numerous other political and business elites, according to the White House.

An earlier iteration of the American Climate Corps did not make it into what became the IRA, largely because Republicans opposed it over concerns about its price tag, according to The Associated Press. Some House Democrats requested $132 billion for the program in the IRA before its removal from the legislation, and Biden’s initial plan budgeted $10 billion for the initiative.

Despite the program’s omission from the IRA, several Democrats, including New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Massachusetts Sen. Ed Markey, called on Biden to set up the American Climate Corps via executive action, according to the AP.

The EPA and AmeriCorps did not respond immediately to requests for comment.

If programs like these rely on government funding to survive, closing them down is as easy as “Budget Cuts”. Trump 47 will be BIG on Government Budget Cuts. With any luck Vance 48 will follow suit with more Budget Cuts.

You are a traitor to Western Society.

You support every far-left agenda that is trying to DESTROY the society that has provided you with everything in your poor insipid, pathetic existence.

Yet you still are totally dependant on every benefit the fossil fuel and capitalist economy has to offer.

You must REALLY hate your life.. (I don’t blame you, it is totally depraved and backward)

Zelensky and Putin are both endorsing the Kamal… why is that ??

And how putrid was that attempt to influence the elections by bringing Zelensky over to the USA.

ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING… and it FAILED absolutely.

The Kamal lost the debate so badly because she didn’t answer a single question even the far-left ABC clowns asked.

Vance is piling up Republican votes left right and centre… a BRILLIANT choice as next VP,

He is pragmatic, resolute and believes in the USA… Something the Kamal certainly does not and never will..

“trump is a traitor to US allies as he is to his own country”

Ridiculous!

You know, when Biden decided to pull out of Afghanistan, there were also NATO partner nations who were also in Afghanistan. They were there protecting their interests, which was to fight against terrorism.

Joe Biden was a traitor to Afghanistan and to the NATO nations that fought beside American troops there. Biden brushed aside the protestations of NATO allies and his own advisors, and abruptly pulled out of Afghanistan, and damn the consequences. The NATO nations could not stay in Afghanistan without U.S. support, so they were forced to withdraw, too.

As for Ukraine, Trump gave Ukraine weapons they could use to defend themselves, whereas Obama and Biden sent Ukraine blankets and pillows (literally).

A lot of people think they know what Trump thinks about Ukraine and Russia. I think a lot of these people are seriously confused about what Trump thinks. Trump’s detractors think Trump will throw Ukraine under the bus. There is no indication that is the case. Just the opposite, going by what Trump has actually done in the past to support Ukraine.

Trump says a lot of things when he wants to make a deal. He sometimes takes the most extreme position initially. He does this to set a bargaining point for making a deal. He takes an extreme position at first, which his detractors freak out over, then he compromises and comes out with a great deal for the United States.

It’s called “The Art of the Deal”. You should read his book.

Btw, Kamala has learned a new word: “Holistically”.

‘Trump’s detractors think Trump will throw Ukraine under the bus.’

The Democrats / Deep State have already thrown Ukraine into a meat grinder. It would have been vastly better for all if Commander Zero had leveled honestly with America’s regime media back in 2019 re. Biden family corruption and Neo-con meddling in Ukraine. Instead, we’ve had to endure Trump’s impeachment and the malevolence and incompetence of the ‘Biden’ Administration for nearly four years. And we’re nowhere near certain of getting out of this mess, witness Zero’s and the regime media’s ongoing efforts to drag Harris over the finish line in November.

Your link said Trump thought Zelensky was a good deal maker, and implied that this meant Trump didn’t like Zelensky.

But Trump likes good deal makers, so Trump may be praising Zelensky, not criicizing him. That would be my take on it.

Trump has said in the past that funding for Ukraine should be made available, but he said the funding should be in the form of a long-term loan to be repaid when Ukraine gets back on its feet. The same thing was done in World War II, where allies borrowed money to fight the war with Germany and eventually paid it all back over many years.

Much worse than ‘zero’. A more honest ‘accounting’ of national income would start with backing 2x Federal government spending out of GDP – 1x because it’s a diversion of productive resources from the private sector and another 1x because the vast majority of Federal government spending is actually deleterious to productive activity.

Remember, there are lots of toxins that cannot go into landfill so be sure to sort them out first. A complete list of prohibited items is available. You will be fined if they are found in your trash, and it is illegal to put them in your neighbors trash instead. Do not place them on the street with a FREE sign. Do not sell them on eBay. From the article: “The initiative announced Wednesday is part of the administration’s American Climate Corps program, which the White House established via executive action after it failed to make it into what eventually became the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), President Joe Biden’s signature climate law.”

So, when Trump moves into the White House in January, he can take executive action and cancel the “environmental justice” jobs training program.

If Trump is elected, he is going to be cancelling and repurposing a lot of the funding for Joe Biden’s delusional attempts at controlling Earth’s weather and temperatures.

This is going to be so much fun! Climate Alarmists will be down on their knees screaming at the sky in frustration. Meanwhile, Trump will be getting the nation back on track with a common-sense agenda that doesn’t include wasting money on climate alarmism.

The United States will shift back into “high gear” after January 2025, if Trump is elected.

Often we read about large, influential industries, such as Big Pharma and Big Oil. There is another, in my opinion, Big Grievance, an industry that exists solely on government support. Problems in society do exist, and there are organizations that truly work toward solutions. But Big Grievance is not about actual solutions.
It is based on exacerbating problems in order to have more government money passed to it to solve the problems it is exacerbating. This program is another instance of the existence of Big Grievance. Communities will be told how bad things are with environmental justice, and how they need more money, which will be funded via these same organizations that are part of the Big Grievance industry. Most of these funds will be spent by the organizations, expanding their size and, yes, increasing the pay of those in charge.

The British countryside has been and is being blemished by political liars telling us the so called renewables are cheap and clean when they are neither.

Nuclear energy does a lot less damage, lasts longer than the one generation of turbines and panels (if you are lucky), and should not need any special measures we don’t already know about.
