Shoot climate deniers with laser weapons: ARD produces bizarre video game for young people
In order to playfully take action against “fake news” and “disinformation campaigns”, the SWR has developed the video game “GreenGuardiansVR” on climate change. Germany is becoming a neglected desert here and the mission is to attack climate-critical groups with laser weapons.
Again and again, public broadcasters participate in the media fight against climate change with their own formats. SWR has now taken this campaign to the extreme: In a video game published by the broadcaster, young people from the age of 14 are to compete against climate change denying groups and use laser weapons.
Specifically, it is about the virtual reality game “GreenGuardiansVR”, which is to be released as an experiment of SWR in the autumn. As part of the video game fair “Gamescom”, the game will be played from the 21st to the 25th. August at the Cologne Fair will be presented for the first time. A 93-secondTraileralready enables first insights: The “Environment Venture Income League” (in German for example: Environmental Enterprise Income League), which happens to bear the acronym “Evil” (in German: evil), wants to spread the narrative that despite climate change “everything will be quite wonderful”, as the leader of “E.v.i.l.” informs.

SWR appears to have a comparable funding model to the British BBC. According to Wikipedia SWR received just under 17% of the mandatory German TV and radio license fee in 2015. ARD is the umbrella organisation which distributes the license fee money to members like SWR.
I sure hope this murder game is an elaborate hoax, because if this is real, if this obscenity is truly the product of a state backed organisation, the world just became a much darker place.

Seeing as how this is a German institution, try “GrüneAbteilungVR”. They could have nice green shirt uniforms and sing “Die Gaia Hoch”. /sarc

I was thinking along the same line.. isn’t the the argument that skeptics are a small minorities? Maybe they deserve protection..
The last poll I saw of the American electorate, climate change only rated about four percent on the “concern” scale. So there are a lot more skeptics out there than just a few.

The “tolerance” of the woke left is clearly defined in the Frankfurt School Marxist, Herbert Marcuse’s essay Repressive Tolerance. The basic gist of it is that any behavior of the left is tolerated, while even thoughts that are conservative must be eradicated, by force if necessary. The woke left share your vocabulary, but not your dictionary. Much of what they talk about has a dual meaning, depending on whether you are initiated into the cult. Words have an exoteric meaning that is what the general public assumes, and an esoteric meaning that is specific within the cult. That appears to be what you are hitting on in your observation that the words they use are often diametrically opposed to the common understanding of them.
Notice that the volks who point fingers at “climate deniers” use FF every day and have no plans to give it up!
You can go to jail in some European countries for voicing your opinion about Muslims or LGBTQ but promoting violence against AGW skeptics is OK? This is where America is going unless we take a stand for freedom.

Germany, along with the other nations, just got stuck on a rolling ball of complex treaties as did the other nations involved.
(I know, oversimplified, but that’s basically what happened.)
During WWII there were discussions among the allies about how post war Germany would be structured. The US State Department floated a plan, known as the Morgenthau Plan to cut Germany into several small countries and to deindustrialize them sending the city folk back to the farms. It looks like Germany is implementing a version of the plan all by itself. i am not sure we should stop them.

It’s a very clear sign of how desperate the warmunists are getting. Paris Accord is now nearly nine years in the past. The two largest national emitters, China and India, have stated they want nothing to do with it. Despite three decades of relentles propaganda from all mass legacy media, the United Nations and a host of government agencies and academic institutions, public opinion remains completely intransigent about making any serious sacrifices or expenditures regarding AGW.
The governments most strident in support of AGW measures in Canada, the United States, France, and Germany are all on the brink of losing national elections. As Dr. McCoy remarked in a well-known episode of Star Trek in the 1960s, “it’s dead, Jim.”
So of course they are frantic. We’ve seen this before. Cultists always become more hysterical the closer the big artillery gets to downtown Berlin and the final fall of Der Fuhrer Bunker.That’s when they do insane things like fantasy murder games.
