Get Ready For Underwater Holidays , Says Dopey Telegraph Reporter

From NOT A LOT OF PEOPLE KNOW THAT

By Paul Homewood

h/t Ian Magness

If the Telegraph still wants to be regarded as a serious newspaper, it needs to get rid of the idiots who write this sort of stuff:

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/travel/travel-truths/ways-climate-change-will-alter-holidays-by-2050/

The soppy piece, which is frankly an insult to its readers’ intelligence, the lists some of the changes:

  • Your summer holiday could be in northern Europe (or not in summer at all)
  • Those (Maldive) overwater villas could be underwater (Poor Sophie does not mention underwater airports, for some reason!)
  • We’ll treasure the underwater world
  • Travel insurance could get pricier
  • Britain could be leading the way in wine tourism
  • Ski resorts will be summer ones too (what on Earth does she think Alpine resorts have been doing for decades?)

All this in the space of a couple of decades.

The most likely outcome is very few people will actually be able to afford to holiday abroad, once their incomes are shrunk by Net Zero.

As usual the commentators see through this nonsense:

I took this to be a hunt-the-gowk until I saw it was from 29th. March.

Every day is fools day in the green universe. The article is paywalled, but it reminded me that GB News still gives the time of day to Jim Dale…

“”…farmers will have to accept net zero measures even if they come at a hefty cost to their livelihood”
https://www.gbnews.com/news/welsh-farmers-protest-jim-dale-net-zero-doomed

Meanwhile, Monbiot has the answer

On a vegan planet, Britain could feed 200 million people’ https://amp.theguardian.com/culture/2022/may/13/george-monbiot-vegan-planet-britain-farming-fuel-plant-based-food

As I said, every day is fools day

I do not always dress up like Audrey Hepburn, but when I do I prefer to drink Bud Light. Stay quirky, my friends.

Given the recent analysis of Labour versus Tory voting tendency , the author is likely to be promoted and not fired. It’s going to get worse before it gets better.

My New Blog Policy which I believe should be considered for use at WUWT

After a visit from the Biden FBI, I have pledged to no longer call our beloved President Adolf Biden or Jumpin’ Joe Bribe’em.

I have pledged to only use whatever it says in the actual article title, or “President Biden, Our Glorious Leader”, or “Grand High Exalted Mystic Leader Biden”

As an alternative, the FBI will allow me to use President Biden’s initials, which I believe are FJB.

I know most WUWT readers are big fans of “President Biden, Our Glorious Leader”, and my comments here, so would appreciate my new respect for our President.

Having the beloved President Biden creates the best opportunity for a Republican to overcome the expected Democrat election fraud in 2024.

Does that mean you’ll drop the heated ad-homs etc, Richard? I can’t see it, somehow.

You should relax and chill. Have a bevy, get a bit more stoical about it: At least the US has a candidate for office who is opposed to the green/woke mind virus

We are guaranteed a net zero [hope] future.

Does this mean I need to hire a ghostwriter?

I have always been extremely polite here, and self aware, for fear of damaging any conservative ego.

This is the result of the time I spent studying public relations at the Don Rickles Charm School

The Maldives are already one of the most expensive travel destinations in the world, unaffordable by any but higher income/wealthy travelers. And if all the Maldives have to do is deal with a few inches of sea level rise, then it’s no big deal to raise the villas a few inches on their pilings that are already a couple of meters above sea level. Also, the Maldives only became a major tourism destination a couple of decades ago, and if they were to disappear below the seas (extremely unlikely) they would adapt by growing more mangroves which build new land above MSL Just as all mangrove-surrounded islands around the world have been doing forever.

The Maldive islands are mostly coral atolls. When you get a chance read up on them, they’re pretty fascinating, and with zero chance of disappearing under water, a fact that’s been known since Charles Darwin commented on it.

There are several subject areas, vocational and avocational, in which I am fairly knowledgeable. Every time I see an article pertaining to one of these subjects, MSM gets it wrong.Sometimes, they make spectacular errors.
Given these data points, the logical conclusion is that they are wrong in areas where I do not possess specialized knowledge. So, I ignore their conclusions.
