Mann: “climate deniers are endanging you, your children, and your grandchildren”

Essay by Eric Worrall

h/t Dr. Willie Soon; So what should be done about these dangerous deniers?

Mann tells his audience climate change deniers are endangering your children, but mostly avoids urging specific action. If a “denier” gets murdered by a climate nut who thinks his act of violence will protect the children, Mann’s hands are clean – he never told the climate nut to pick up a gun.

If I’m calling out Mann for always being at the rear ranks of the angry mob, then I’m not going to emulate his cowardice.

So what do I think should be done about Michael Mann?

The answer is – nothing. Mann’s personal failure is punishment enough. Mann is already mostly an irrelevance. The pinnacle of his political efforts, the COP climate conferences he helped build into a significant global political event, have degenerated into an annual oil and gas sale bazaar run by Arab petro-sultans. Major CO2 emitters like India and China barely even pretend to care about the Western climate obsession, both are openly competing with each other to expand coal powered industrial capacity as rapidly as possible.

Mann’s life’s work is in ruins, and every passing year further hilights his utter failure. He can keep ranting all he wants – outside his audience of climate diehards, Mann’s words simply don’t matter any more.

I don’t feel intimidated by Mann’s climate rants – in my opinion Mann’s wild tweets are entertaining parody. Other than the remote possibility a violent ecolune will take him seriously, reading or watching Mann’s latest rant is like watching an angry hand puppet on the Muppet Show.

Mann will not be remembered as another Einstein or Newton, as one of the science greats. At most Mann will be a historical footnote, someone who made a few wild climate predictions which didn’t come to pass, an uninteresting one liner in a history of science book whom people of the future browse past and rapidly forget.

Mann has to keep up they hype to try to stay relevant. He’s sort of like those old actresses who show their bodies off for publicity. I would not want to see his body.

Thanks for that one..was best video the MFGW ever did imho.

I realize some people actually “deny” the climate is changing, and that it seems to be moving to a more warm one than 250 years ago, but I can’t find anybody that denies climate changes. Not one.

What irritates the warmists is the fact that reputable “science” folks, as well as a few other people, admit we cannot explain the reason we have glaciatial eras and then warm periods and then…..and nobody yet has constructed an accurate model for the last few million years.

Germany has twice the renewables capacity it needs for the country, which still only generates half the capacity it requires for the country and it has the most expensive electricity in the world.

If it builds four times the renewables capacity the country needs, it will still only generate around 50% of the country’s needs and electricity prices will be double what they are now.

How long will it take you idiots to understand this straightforward principle?

Net Zero. The world is no longer abuzz.
Nothing is… as it was.
TV, car and phone emit an eerie silence.
As do you, serving your climate penance.

So hard to escape the cold.
Only twenty-two; you feel old.
Cold within and cold without,
You shouldn’t be out and about.

The contrast to the former world of light and life is stark.
Inside or out… you sit in the dark.
Yet a billion cold stars within your sight
Remind you… wind and solar produce nothing on a cold, calm night.

Actually it wasn’t. The point you were groping for was to use more and more wind and solar because it is the only choice for the panet, which is wrongly farcical. The rest of us know that that the only reason we’re using any wind and solar at all is because of UN diktat, built on deceit and forced on us by governments more afraid of WEF than their own people (which might change if this stupidity carries on much longer).

Agreed. One of the casualties by Mann is the tainting of any pretense of science as being independent of partisan politics. Mann is viciously partisan in his politics.
Mann has also tainted science by throwing the peer review process into complete disrepute.
He has also tainted science by his persecution of opponents by lawsuit.
He has tainted science by blocking opposing papers from being published in various scientific journals.

Well myusername, Mann is one of the chief poster boys for the climate alarmism movement. In case you don’t know, he was co-author of a 1998 paper, based on his Ph.D. thesis, that scrambled together a lot of rather dubious proxy data with inappropriate and opaque statistical procedures, to create the famous hockey stick. The “shaft” of the hockey stick purported to eliminate historically documented climate changes over the last thousand years, and the “blade” was created by tacking on some 20th century instrumental data. This seminal piece of scientific research fraudulent data manipulation was celebrated by Phil Jones at UEA as “Mike’s Nature trick”. Prof. Jones at least had the honesty to admit that he was tampering with data – “We’ve got to get rid of the MWP” whereas Mann has stood firmly behind his hockey stick for 25 years, despite it having been meticulously dismantled and discredited by McIntyre and McKitrick many years ago.

Mann cements his reputation as a thoroughly unpleasant person by launching lawsuits against those who publicly point out his fraudulence.

So we (those who hang around this site) do enjoy the many opportunities that he gives us to poke fun at this imposter and his rotund self-importance. This latest piece of intellectual onanism has him casting those who doubt catastrophic climate alarmism as evil people. He should look in the mirror.

Mann cements his reputation as a thoroughly unpleasant person”

Keeping in mind mr. unpleasant Mann painted himself as innocent in front of Congress right after he falsely libeled Dr. Currie in his pre-hearing writeup.

Unpleasantness is probably Mann’s only quality as he is naturally unpleasant.

Ed Zuiderwijk
December 2, 2023 10:19 am

Mann will not discuss with real scientists who actually do know something about climate. His purported reason is that he as superior human being, as ‘distinguished professor’, can not be asked to steep to such a low level. The real reason is of course that he knows very well that he would lose in a confrontation with real expertise. Which makes him a coward. That is how he will end up, or already has ended up, in history.

Because to believe that it is, means that an action which they take where FF are consumed is making them party to killing the children of the world.

It’s not relevance that Mann throws himself into discussions where he is the only person in existence worth reporting. It’s a form of narcissism. When coupled with his tendency to lie grandiosely Mann quickly becomes tiresome to most if not all people.

Ergo, Mann is a f*cking moron. He can’t even come up with a witty put down. He wants to be thought of as clever.

When he says “climate change deniers pose an existential threat TO our planet” he’s getting into dangerous territory. If I wasn’t twice his age I’d challenge him to a boxing match. I don’t like being told I’m an existential threat to the planet after working 50 years trying to improve forests.

But “it could have been worse” is no excuse when greenhouse gas emissions from fossil fuels keep increasing and the planet keeps warming.”

The ills of fast fashion prompt many to stop and think

Mass. lawmakers’ bill would take a multipronged approach

We applaud Kimberly Atkins Stohr and the Globe for the series “Not so fast, fashion” (Opinion, Nov. 21-25). In Massachusetts, we have been working to address fast fashion with “An act to establish fashion sustainability and social accountability in the Commonwealth.” The bill is based on the Fashion Act from New York state, a link to which was included in Atkins Stohr’s sidebar “Tips: How to be stylish without killing the planet.”

Our bill would address the issues of fast fashion at the state level, taking a multipronged approach. It would require fashion sellers with more than $100 million in global revenue to perform human-rights and environmental assessments and set up company protocols to ensure environmentally and socially responsible business conduct. Annually, these companies must present a due diligence report to the Massachusetts attorney general detailing their business conduct and steps to enhance it. Noncompliant fashion sellers would be civilly liable, and revenue from resulting fines would be deposited in a sustainability fund for use by the attorney general’s office.
