An X Thread on Climate Hypocrisy by Dr. Simon Goddek

🧵 THREAD: As an independent journalist, there’s nothing I like more than exposing hypocrisy.

Many celebrities advocate for climate protection and combatting global warming, yet their actions don’t align with their words. I’ll shed light on this in this thread.⬇️⬇️⬇️

#1 “Avoiding a climate disaster will be one of the greatest challenges we have ever faced.”
– @BillGates

Gates’ climate crusade would be slightly more believable if he weren’t living a life of luxury, flying private jets and buying beachfront mansions.

#2 “Climate change is real, it is happening right now.”
– @LeoDiCaprio

Look at Mr. ‘Eco-Warrior’ DiCaprio, lounging on his $150 million yacht. So much for his green preachings.

#3 “Every time I see a picture of an ocean creature caught in plastic, I’m heartsick. Every time I drink from a plastic bottle or use a paper towel, I’m aware of my contribution to the problem.”
– @Oprah

Meanwhile, she flies around in her private jet and supported wearing masks.

#4 “The climate crisis is the greatest challenge humanity has ever faced.”
– @algore

Al Gore considered rising sea levels so catastrophic that he bought a beachfront mansion in California and flies around in private jets, much like Bill Gates.

#5 “When it comes to the challenge of climate change, the falsehood of today’s naysayers is only matched by the complacency of our political system.”
– @JohnKerry

I’m wondering why he’s flying around with his family jet then. Plants love that trick, but the narrative doesn’t.

#6 “Flying must become more expensive.”
– @Luisamneubauer

Greta Thunberg’s right-hand, Luisa Neubauer, strongly criticizes people who travel by plane, but according to Instagram, she has already taken luxury vacations on all continents. Rules for thee but not for me.

#7 “The fact that sea level in New York, in New York Harbor, are now a foot higher than a century ago […]”
– @BarackObama

But then, why did he build a beach villa in Hawaii for several million USD, especially with an exemption from environmental laws?

#8 “We do not want to return to that situation and what that CO2 increase results in is a steadily increasing temperature so we’ve already increased by two degrees.”
– @eltonofficial

Then why doesn’t he sell his private jet?

#9 “We are running out of time, how many times have I found myself saying this over recent years?”
– King Charles (@RoyalFamily)

While still being a prince, Charles’ private jets sometimes flew 8,000 miles per month – with NO passengers on board.

#10 “Climate change is real.”
– @KimKardashian

Well, her private jet trips and her immense water consumption as well.

And, nowadays, they ARE the law.

…nowadays, they ARE the law.

…which is why my site’s byline is:

You can’t be above the law when you ignore it completely and there are no complications.

Not good.

All of these people are doing the emotional equivalent of buying carbon credits. They want to live the luxury lifestyle and then say the right things to “offset” what they actually do.

They probably are actually buying carbon credits which of course does exactly nothing to eliminate their CO2 footprint. It is just enriching someone smart enough to sell them.

Jerry Brown outlawed selling solar carbon credits for Californians who had already installed solar panels and were entitled to sell them when the California market was created.

Indeed. Who do they imagine will maintain their facilities, vehicles, power distribution systems, food delivery and preparation services, etc., etc.?

If the hoi polloi can’t afford to live, they will storm the feudal lords palaces.

That’s because they don’t know history….while some have heard of the French Revolution, they clearly know nothing about it!

The Leader of the Opposition in Canada is being excoriated for stating that the elite billionaires of the WEF are dictating global governance policy to world heads of state. He’s branded as a Conspiracy Theorist. Is there no source of documents showing this? Has no one exposed this?

Well, in Canada the Deputy Prime Minister (#2 in charge) is also on the board of World Economic Forum. That’s on the WEF website. Furthermore, Schwab-the-WEF-Supreme-Leader has bragged openly of “penetrating “ (his word, not a euphemism) the Cdn govt. It’s not a conspiracy theory when it’s all out in the open, is it?

Don’t forget David Attenborough, he expects us to live like Medieval peasants while he “wallows” in his multi million pound luxury!

August 24, 2023 10:37 am

Even if I believed the alarmist science nonsense hyperbole, the No1 reason I would never buy into nut zero, is the sight of all these greedy shills in their private jets flying from climate awards to climate conventions , beach front multi million dollar homes, gas guzzling V12s, eating more cows than a small village per day each with a carbon footprint that an ordinary person wouldn’t get near in a lifetime
They are worse than hypocrites, they are deceitful, self serving, greedy, hubris filled, double standard lowlifes, a plague on humanity and I hope to one day see the whole corrupt cabal fade to obscurity

All we peasants need are sturdy sandals, if the elites have their way. I bet none of them have solar panels on the roof, or a big wind mill to power each mansion.

If they do, they’re still connected to the grid, which means basically 80% of the power they consume is generated directly from fossil fuels.

And since solar panels and wind mills are manufactured with energy inputs that all come from fossil fuels anyway…

Still hypocrites!

When Al Gore *permanently* moves into a cave and uses nothing but sticks and stones to source (hunt himself or plant) his food, call me.

I might *pretend* to be concerned about my carbon footprint then.

Let me guess, they sold it to the company that owns their aeroplane provision cooperative?
On the other hand, he probably has access to Airforce3 or something.

I’m going to guess that they sold it to a company that is owned by the Kerry’s, and that they still have access to the jet whenever they want it.

I would like to add John Travolta and Harrison Ford to the list. Ford has a small private Air Force of older aircraft and at one point Travolta owned and flew a fuel inefficient 707. Now I have no objection to them owning the aircraft or flying them. They earned their money honestly and they are entitled to enjoy it however they want but don’t preach to me when my carbon footprint is far smaller than yours. My house is connected to a nuclear power plant and I would like to see you fly your aircraft on the 3 to 4 gallons a week I put in my car.

If someone can design an energy system that consumes hypocritical buffoons and emits common sense the problems will all be solved.

I liked this one.
#3 “Every time I see a picture of an ocean creature caught in plastic, I’m heartsick. Every time I drink from a plastic bottle or use a paper towel, I’m aware of my contribution to the problem.”
– @Oprah

Using a paper towel?
What would she use instead? A clothe towel that would need to use water and a detergent to clean?
Or is she rich enough to just toss the clothe towel after one use?
Does she feel guilty about using toilet paper?

Leonardo diCaprio: minimizing his carbon footprint by spending as little time on the ground as possible.

My climate-woke friends’ idea of offsetting their frequent flights is to always make sure to buy a return ticket. Net zero dude!
