Thankfully no injuries reported – but Dutch authorities seem determined to meet their climate targets, even if this means crippling their farming sector, or shooting someone protesting their ruinous agricultural climate rules.
Watch: Police Open Fire on ‘Threatening’ Dutch Farmer Protest
KURT ZINDULKA
6 Jul 2022Police in The Netherlands fired gunshots at Dutch farmers who were protesting the implementation of EU-based climate rules on the emissions of nitrogen that threaten the livelihoods of thousands.
On Tuesday evening, police fired what they said were warning and “targeted” shots at a farmer’s protest in Heerenveen in the north of the country. The Friesland police claimed a “threatening situation” had ensued after protesters allegedly tried to drive through the line of police and law enforcement vehicles, necessitating the use of firearms.
The incident, footage of which was widely shared on social media, did not result in any injuries, though three protesters were arrested and one tractor was hit with a bullet, the local De Telegraaf newspaper reported.
The National Criminal Investigation Service (Rijksrecherch) said that an investigation into the incident will be conducted as a result of officers discharging their weapons.
The use of force by the police was condemned by the Farmers’ protest group Agractie, which questioned if “people had to die first” before the government comes to the table to negotiate with the farmers, adding that the situation could have turned out much worse.
ACP police union representative Maarten Brink said that it was unclear from the footage posted on social media what had necessitated the firing of gunshots, saying police officers “never just grab” their weapons without reason.

The following is a twitter video of the incident (h/t Breitbart);
The police weren’t shooting into the air – the tractor was reportedly struck by gunfire.
I’m beyond disgusted by this act. Leaving aside the insanity of the Dutch government attacking food production during what threatens to be a very difficult year, the farmer protestor who was shot at did not appear to be threatening the lives of police or anyone else. Perhaps there are mitigating circumstances I’m unaware of, but this appears to be one of the most egregious acts of authoritarian state violence I have ever written about, perpetrated by those attempting to enforce the Netherlands’ lunatic nitrate fertiliser emissions cuts. It is only by luck that nobody died.
Sure, why not. In the Democrat model they are heroes. Abort all the “burdens”.
I deplore this brutality but if they must be brutal then XR would make better targets
If any of the farmers are black, that police officers career will be over.
As Klaus has stated he gets inside governments and appoints people who will do the NWO bidding and as you can see the depopulation plan is in full swing all around the world . I say look into these officials etc. bank accounts and see if they are now flush with cash. Climate change is now gone over the edge as facts make no difference in this plan of one world government. JUST SAY NO
This is the model of [catastrophic] [anthropogenic] climate change. Forward! and don’t spare the babies.
It is no longer theoretical that these policies lead to famine. Look at the mess they’ve created in Sri Lanka. Rich soil, well watered, tropical climate, people are starving. Pure man made disaster.
What will the authoritarians do if we the people start shooting back? However, if all guns are confiscated except for the authoritarians guns…we get Chinese style government. Ask the citizens of Hong Kong how they like it.
If fools in power don’t have logic and facts on their side they fall back on guns and force. It is generally a losing strategy in countries where voters get to fire their leaders, but hopefully it will be short lived so as to prevent serious harm to legitimate protesters.
To be fair, the cut in ammonia and nitrate deposition is primarily addressing the EU rule on nature preservation and biodiversity, not climate. The problem with ammonia and nitrate is firstly that they enhances growth in grasses en some other herbs who overgrow all other vegetation. The other effect of long term nitrate deposition in many areas is that minerals notably calcium magnesium but even kalium (potassium) are washed out from the soil as they are more solvent in a nitrate rich environment causing oaks (and other trees) to perish. Amonia / nitrate (NO2) are air born from stables to the surrounding environment. The high density in cattle porcine and poultry in some areas close to protected areas led the government to conclude that cuts of up to 70% are required to meet the norm. They communicated this in the worst possible manner without presenting a plan for voluntary cuts. They brought this uprising of the farmers on themselves.
It’s a manufactured crisis with only one solution: government takes your land..
So . . .
What nearly all the stories miss mentioning about the Dutch police opening fire on a tractor that was not a threat to them with live rounds is that the farmer driving the tractor is all of sixteen years old. It was extremely fortuitous that the round that hit the tractor managed to dead-center on a steel pillar between the cab windows.
Watch the video and see if you can determine just how the polite ((Dutch for police) can justify adding insult to injury by arresting the kid and accusing him of attempted murder . . . for the crime of simply driving AROUND their poorly-crafted roadblock.
Lots and lots of farmers of all ages with lots and lots of tractors then surrounded the cop shop where they locked him and the other two arrested protesters up, demanding his immediate release. To which the police then stated that he wasn’t getting out until the “rescuers” went away.
He was released several hours after they pulled back.
It is absolute madness for the politicians to double down on their climate response fantasies in the face of expanding actual famine . . . for real famine where some people in some places are actually dying.
There are three catastrophic conditions that have appeared together throughout history: famine, pandemic, and war. All are made far worse by persistent political “intervention” of various stripes. They are generally regional, but for the first time, this round is threatening to become genuinely global as the political class everywhere stubbornly doubles down on stupid.

We are Wylie E.
Indeed, only 16. But, old enough to fight in a war on his family’s liberty.
I am SO proud of him. How very PROUD his parents must be. 😊

The climate movement is a movement, led by a few and evolving since the early 1970s. Compare with Mein Kampf the mass influence techniques employed while led by and abetted by left lib governments with messaging usually based more on influence and less on science. (I acknowledge the greenhouse effect is real; I find appalling / out of bound when official government agencies alter historical data to magnify the apparent effect… take for example adjustment of historical records cf. Thomas Karl et al ScienceExpress, June 4, 2015, in which around 20 years of data were restated ending up magnifying the effect of CO2 on global warming. I also take offense in use of Nazi like propaganda techniques such as the mass media eg. New York Times which has full time staff of 10-15 doing nothing but spreading propaganda running stories that do discuss let alone present data for the actual science on which the claims / conclusions are made… the definition of Mein Kampf influence peddling combination of myth, folktale, storytelling. Think about like Hitler Naziism, think about what happens to those who questions the storyline myths.
It’s absolutely dreadful. The Dutch government know perfectly well that a large number of their farmers are faced with loosing their livelihoods. The authoritarianism of European countries is astounding. I hope that the farmers are ultimately successful & that it ignites a huge backlash world wide against ‘green’ policies.
Its TIME TO SHOOT BACK!!! The police have chosen their side and must be killed!
Like I’ve been saying these green devils are vicious contemptible villains.
if you look at the wikipedia article about the dutch economy it says that the largest ag export is dairy, & specifically mentions … infant formula
You can’t make this stuff up.
The “greens” figure if they can force farming back to 18th century technology without fertilizers and pesticides they can reduce the human population to 18th century numbers via mass starvation.
Good grief. Our police in the States cannot even fire towards a crowd. There would be hell to pay. The citizens get upset enough over tear gas.
They don’t just “grab” their weapons—the weapons were already positioned securely in hand.
The Dutch Government have been caught employing Agent Provocateurs in the recent pass in relation to this protest.
First they came for uranium and nobody said anything and then carbon and now nitrogen-
Enraged farmers cause chaos throughout the Netherlands. What’s going on? (msn.com)
Presumably these crackers are working their way through the table of elements?
Dutch farmers lives matter
The Netherlands is on a downwards spiral:
UN Rapporteur Nils Melzer: “The Netherlands is Violating the Anti-torture Treaty”https://www.europereloaded.com/un-rapporteur-nils-melzer-the-netherlands-is-violating-the-anti-torture-treaty/
The farmers protest has nothing to do, nada noppes, with climate policies – who makes this up?
It’s about nitrogen (not a greenhouse gas) that is supposed to threaten the Dutch nature (mainly inland sand dunes and heathlands ) by feeding nitro-loving vegetation. European countries have signed a treaty (Natura2000) to protect their nature conservation areas, but it’s the government herself appointing which green habitats and setting the bars. Nobody knows what damage is caused by how much emission, still a lot of farmers are now forced to close their business, and this problem just stops -funny enough- at the Dutch-German border.
But again, this farmers protest that takes place since couple of years has nothing to do with climate policies but with biodiversity.
