According to Greta Thunberg we listened to scientific advice about Covid-19, but for some reason we are ignoring advice from climate scientists and biodiversity specialists.

In a joint interview with the author Margaret Atwood, broadcast on BBC Radio 4 on Tuesday as part of the two-times Booker prize-winning writer’s guest-editing of the Today programme.
Thunberg was asked if the pandemic’s impact on people’s appreciation of science would have an effect on climate information.
“It could definitely have. I think this pandemic has shone a light on how … we are depending on science and that we cannot make it without science,” Thunberg said.
“But of course, we are only listening to one type of scientist, or some types of scientist, and, for example, we are not listening to climate scientists, we’re not listening to scientists who work on biodiversity and that, of course, needs to change.”
The environmental campaigner expressed scepticism when questioned about nations’ pledges to reduce their carbon emissions, such as China, which has committed to reach net zero by 2060.
“That would be very nice if they actually meant something,” Thunberg said. “We can’t just keep talking about future, hypothetical, vague, distant dates and pledges. We need to do things now. And also net zero … that is a very big loophole, you can fit a lot in that word ‘net’.”

Why don’t we treat all scientists equally? Because not all science is equal. In my opinion climate alarmists are in the same category as UFO experts and parapsychologists. Climate alarmists spin lots of wild theories, but their predictions of imminent doom are consistently falsified, and they have no compelling evidence to back their assertions that we should listen to their warnings.
The other participant in the interview, Margaret Atwood wrote The Handmaid’s Tale, a story told from the perspective of a sexual slave in a fictional US theocracy. In Atwood’s story the theocracy overthrew the Republic during a period of violent upheaval, after environmental collapse caused widespread famine and disease. The sexual slavery in Atwood’s fictional dystopia was justified through a vile interpretation of Genesis 30:1-3.

Humans emit CO2 by breathing. Greta doesn’t want any “loopholes” in CO2 emission. Greta doesn’t want you to breathe.
The upside to this madness is that when the world is eventually done dealing with the real crisis of Wuhan Flu and Progressives turn their attention back to their previously scheduled manufactured “climate crisis” that only exists exclusively within computer models that they approve of, people will be burned out on statist repression of their lives based upon sketchy predictions from professional fear mongers who live lives vastly different than the ones they advocate for the rest of us.
I can’t be the only one for whom the thrill & majesty of being hectored by a 17-year-old high school drop out (or the shadow group that writes for her…) has worn off.
The Alarmists have ruined Greta’s life.
I never listen to scientists much as they are usually boring. I do read their papers however. Such is the value of an education that stressed independent thought instead of teaching lining up for a cult following.
What’s a Climate Science degree?
Hint 1: There is no such thing as Climate Science.
Hint 2: Greta does not go to school or study. She sits outside proclaming to school-strike. Punishable by law in my country btw.
Hint 3: Ask her why? She does not have answers to non-scripted questions as has been show many times.
Hint 4: Covid is a scam of the political kind. Even the WHO admits to that. HArldy a sound reference
Demanding we listen to the scientists is not the same as looking at scientific evidence. Great scientists have presented evidence of proof of one truth or other and I’m not aware of any true scientist saying “listen to me, I’m a scientist, therefore you must believe what I say.”

And it assumes that all scientists are on the same page.
We should listen to scientists who know what they are talking about.
Not all scientists know what they are talking about, and some scientists deliberately lie about their (climate) science, so we should discriminate more carefully between the various scientists. None of them deserve automatic acceptance of their claims. Claims need evidence to substantiate them.
Not only that, not even all scientists who know what they are talking about (and are honest) are in agreement as to conclusions drawn from the scientific evidence. Scientist can and do have valid and legitimate difference of opinion on what “the science” is showing them.
All “listening to the scientists” does is cede your ability to think for yourself over to someone else. It’s not the people (scientists) one should be paying attention to, it’s the evidence (or lack thereof) that backs up what they say.

Stop listening to young Greta, she is only a mouthpiece for the zealots who abuse her.
All the adults using her should be arrested for child abuse.
Greta turns 18 in just half an hour. It will mark the tipping point for her. The immunities to fib and chuck tantrums end once she is deemed an adult. She must relinquish the mantle of Child High Priestess of the Climate Cult of Doom and Gloom.
She will revert to being an uneducated, mentally traumatised puppet of the Deep State.
Is there a replacement waiting in the wings? Will the public be gullible enough to buy it, especially with the turmoil in the US that is likely to start on January 6th?
