AOC on Green New Deal: It ‘Costs $0 If Passed’

Democratic New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez ripped one of her critics Thursday for suggesting the Green New Deal would cost Americans a fortune and require the government to confiscate every penny from billionaire and multimillionaires.

Ocasio-Cortez scolded conservative columnist Jonah Goldberg Thursday for saying in a tweet that taking every dollar from the likes of Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos and others would not “cover a fraction of your Green New Deal fantasy.”

“Totally get it if you’ve never bothered to read the legislation you’re commenting so authoritatively on,” Ocasio-Cortez wrote in reply before noting that the GND is a “non-binding resolution of values” and “costs us $0 if passed.” (RELATED: Report: Green New Deal Will Impose A $75,000 Per Year Cost On Swing-State Households)

Ocasio-Cortez’s signature legislation calls for several progressive proposals, including moving the United States off of fossil fuels within a decade, providing universal health care, basic income programs and job guarantees, as well as a slew of other ambitious plans. The GND would cost $0 if it remained a non-binding resolution and was not coupled with legislation satisfying the deal’s agenda.

CEI, a conservative-leaning think tank, incorporated the costs of electricity production within the first year after Ocasio-Cortez’s deal’s implementation and the costs of a one-time upgrade to buildings and vehicles. They also determined how the plan’s mandate would increase the cost of logistics in a modern American economy.

Yeah, I remember the famous lie of the “Energiewende” from the Green party in Germany. “It costs only one scoop of ice a month”.
Now they have the highest electricity prices and the highest income tax rate of the planet. And next year a special carbon tax will be added.

She’s dumber than a rock, and an opportunistic, unabashed liar, and race-baiter, but at least she’s really conceited and arrogant about it.

How dare you insult rocks — at least they are smart enough to keep quiet.

AOC is a dingbat and blabbermouth.

The current generation’s version of Bernie Sanders, with better hair.

I still say we should sell her to Mohammed bin Salman, I’m sure he would happily pay $5000. Win/Win!

It’s not just her. There is Washington’s Inslee.

https://mynorthwest.com/1875112/dori-inslee-devastated-economy-climate-agenda/

“In a disgustingly tone-deaf interview on Bernie Sanders’ website, Inslee told the Bernie-bros, “this has always been an economic opportunity … we should not be intimidated by people who say you should not use this COVID crisis to peddle a solution to climate change … we can’t use COVID as an excuse for inaction on climate change … they’re both so similar … based on an understanding of science.”

Please! I am forced to observe this low science socialist democrat everyday, here in the Left Wing Lock Down of Washington state. He often refers to ‘science’ and ‘data’, but never explicitly provides references to either. He wears the ‘Science/Data’ sash as a publicity banner, sans any substance to back it up. He parrots the buzz words “Follow the science, braaawwk!”, with less understanding than a simple parrot and no disclosure of it. And more than half of Washington state voted for this low information, substance free propagandist. Ugh!

When asked how do we pay for everything Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez wants her response is – “Print more money. What’s hard about that?”

Hate to be a Debbie Downer, I have to correct your spelling, her name is Accusatory Occasional-Cortex. Don’t want to hurt her feelings, since feelings is all she’s got.

For the last few decades, in pursuit of the GND for Califirnias, residents have been bombarded with bizarre laws and regulations from our one-party leaders that have gotten CA into the #1 position of having the highest costs for of labor, electricity, and fuels. California’s Forecasted Budget Deficit Decades in the Making -the COVID-19 carnage on the job market has exposed decades of poor planning

o Labor: Among the highest minimum wages
o Electricity: Residents are already paying 50% more than the national average, and those cost will increase s CA shuts down nuclear and natural gas plants, to import more expensive electricity from other states.
o Fuels: Californians are already paying almost $1.00 more than the national average and is the only state in contiguous America that imports MOST (58%) of its crude oil needs from foreign countries at a cost of $60 million every day. Newsom is doing everything possible to INCREASE those imports and INCREASE the outflow of moneys to foreign countries.

Our Governor with a 70% approval rating is doing everything possible to continually INCREASE, yes INCREASE, highest costs of labor, electricity, and fuels.
Maybe the election or Republican of Mike Garcia to fill the seat vacated by Democrat Katie Hill is a reflection of our CA residents “seeing” what the one-party state has done to the economy!

Newsom was the San Francisco Mayor for 8 years. In 2003, Newsom was elected the 42nd Mayor of San Francisco, becoming the city’s youngest mayor in a century. Newsom was re-elected in 2007 with 72 percent of the vote. This article about those saying Chao to the City may be a preview for the outlook for the entire state.
Our residents continue to re-elect the same “leaders”, so buckle up for the nosedive in the economy!

‘Ocasio-Cortez wrote in reply before noting that the GND is a “non-binding resolution of values” and “costs us $0 if passed.”’

As Khris Kristofferson and Janis Joplin sang in the song Bobby McGee:
“Nothin’ ain’t worth nothin’, but it’s free.”

Makes more sense than AOC.

Why passing a non-binding proposal into law? It just lends credibility to it hoping to shirk scrutiny and had questions. Plus, it also makes up the fiction that lawmakers actually do something that could be passed off as work. The GND is a plot to ruin America – may light shine onto it as it deserves.

AOC: “If only there were some public fund billionaires could pay into along with everyone else that helps fund our infrastructure, hospitals and public systems all at once.”
AOC, I’ve got news for you – there IS such a fund, and it’s called TAX. And you are a member of the mechanism that sets the tax levels for EVERYONE. All you have to do is understand and work with the system!

That is asking a lot, she is barely aware of her own existence, outside of all the good “stuff” she can score now.
